Chuck crouches his way to the rear doors of the grav, the two guys treating the one strapped in dont know what hit them and the hmg in the turret gives off a four second burst to helpfully cover the noise
the air is still being vented to keep the engines ticking over - it is pretty noisy all around.
Inside two unconcious figures are held in their bucket-seat strapping the other dozen seats are empty in this rear compartment. To each side is an access door that are both open letting the heat out. The short passage runs around the central fans to the cockpit where up to four and a gunner can fit...
Chuck can move the bodies and thinks about closing the rear doors.. the small red interior lights twinkle off the slick skin of the large troll in the ruddy darkness. no real room to swing the axe
Bishop watches the leapfrogging sections move along the road - from his hiding place he can see the next three potential hiding places they can use an he judges the distance for throwing and range.. they are careless in ignoring their sides instead they concentrate on running to cover as fast as they can to get one goal completed. Looks like they are real willing to assault and retake the control room
F-E takes a quick looksee from his position too - just able to make out the dampened signatures of the troopers scuttling up the road. Inside the control house Milly is punching in codes - the heavy whine of the multiple generators has stopped but the rush of the oncoming tide is multiplied echoing under the dam - rushing through half a mile of access gates still churning the turbines fruitlessly
up in the air the mages and their support weave towards the control room - looks like they will be diving in to recce the area just before the troopers hit the place. Unless they get ambushed on the way.
Back at the campsite the students are being kept in check and watching the river from their hunkered-down positions.. The full implications of what is going on have not sunk in properly yet - Observation not interraction keep quiet .. says Meg - referring to the sea spirits making their way upriver following or creating the bore..
She looks around to the rest of you all currently preparing or observing the other show of strength..

The troopers were in an obvious hurry to get to the control room - they were being sloppy, failing to cover their backs and flanks. Their attention was focussed forward - they had tunnel vision. Bishop moved swiftly into a flanking position, moving to the marshy edge of the road. The water was wet and cold, and he tried not to think of what parasites lay beneath the surface and he stayed low and waited. Slinging his rifle over a shoulder he prepared two flashbang grenades.
Wait for the right moment.. discipline.. patience.. they had to have no idea what was hitting them until he'd hit them with both grenades..
The troopers were moving in fireteams of four, leapfrogging past each other - move, wait, cover, move. If he timed it right and his aim was good, he might have a chance at halving their numbers. If they were as sloppy as they looked that might be enough to make them turn tail and run; if he got it wrong they'd overwhelm him with their superior numbers. Bishop shrugged to himself - just another day at the office.
As a group of four troopers passed by their comrades, not more than twenty meters away from him, Bishop inched upwards just enough to line up the throw and lobbed the first flashbang. Not missing a beat, he pulled the pin on the second and prepared to throw...

(OOC sorry for the delay I was not sure if we where still posting on this site or not.)
Micro sees the approaching Mages and elementals, and quickly decides that the Mages are the biggest threat. The Watchers are most likely there to report back what is happening but Micro doesn't want to waste the element of surprise on taking out the little messengers , So Micro decides to attack one of the 2 Mages. Ok Little Earth buddy lets try and take out one of the Mages from the fight.
Micro Lunges at on of the mages in astral space hoping that he and his elemental back up will put the mage out of the fight, and hopefully Henri will also give aid to the attack on the Mage and drop the enemys numbers.
(OOC I'm not great at astral combat so If I do something wrong sorry.)
Sorcery 5 (used instead of Unarmed combat)+ 4 Astral pool (the other 4 for defence)= 9 TN ? +2 (sustaining spell, until I'm in trouble then Four Eyes will be visable.) Damage: Charisma (M)=4M
9,3,2,2,4,2,3,1,5 (Dice roller still down atleast when we move back to the other site we will have an in house dice roller again)
Force 2 Elemental Initaive 20+f+1d6 (22+2=24) Not sure what to roll for his Unarmed attack so I'm going with his force of 2 TN ? Damage 2M (Little bee sting on the way)
Rolls 2,1 (Oh great I think he missed)

Chuck moves up to take out the driver and who ever else may be up there. Looking like up close and personal. Also closing any more open hatches on the way. Stealth_4 (1,2,2,7) Edged Weapons_6 +3 Combat Pool(1,7,4,11,2,3,5,5,3) OOC I'll have to keep rolling normal dice or wolf you could do it for me. I don't run foxfire. So I have no dice roller. Also if some thing is happening to me by showing the dice rolled ...... well I can't see the resaults. It's not a big deal to me but I just thought I'd let ya in on it.

Four-Eyes watched discreetly outside; he saw nothing on the astral (for now.) but he saw the troopers making their way jumping from cover to cover in the distance. "Giles, 16 goons commin' for us; Please tell me you got guns and Armour in here..or that you know how to use a SMG..."
He hid back inside, crawling to the door; he got a grenade out, and his thermal vison in; at least now he could see himself. Taking a fake potted plant, he placed it near the entrance door.
"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm setting up a trap incase those goons managed to reach the door, so stand back.." He took some duct tape and taped the 'nade on it, resting it on the door. Then he slowly removed the pin. The trap was set; when they'll open the door, boom.
"All right guys, 'got the door covered here.."
At least he'll managed to buy some time for Milie and Giles to run away..if the plastique don't cut it hehehe
((Wolf, I'll begin to transfer posts..I'll make another room to keep things seperated..by adding a 2 to it, then I'll mod the name back..))

FE had a lot of incoming. Without mana spells there was nothing to I could do to the mages. Unless I wanted to start a impromptu scorch match. No. I used one of stims FE gave me. I could feel the burn as the chemicals worked their into my system. Suddenly I was alert. There was only one thing I could do. I looked for the weakest elemental. I held a hand out and grabbed my wrist with the other.

You all know that you are fragmenting - each FAF has launched and is currently streaking its way towards the target .. fire and forget.. shadowrunners instead of a cohesive unit..
The cohesives made their way in formation towards the hydro station, another unit patrolled the gate checkpoint - while a third gave astral overwatch
the three hits came in near simoultaneously - shock from the ground squad calling in as they ranin to a surprise ambush and heavy fire calling fruitlessly to their command vehicle then switching channells to the 2IC grav. By that time Group sargeant had been able to get a brief message through, his unit commander was down green section was pinned - he was the small group leader watching the others gettin ripped apart Hit the fraggin dir.... Grakk ..kk..kk the next grenade blew two of them backwards then the steady controlled bursts ripped into the dumb schmucks standin and tryin to rub the flash outa their eyes.. look for the muzzle flash hone in on the attackers.. spray the side of the road with a full mag kneel reload then spray again... the short bursts replied
Shade felt the squeeze - around him all went silent as the concentrated effort resulted in Mine! and the power surged like the nearby tide - rushing through him - too much to comfortably handle.. still concious.. and now in the driving seat... The chems flowed through his bloodstream too, banishing fatigue gulping in cold air into rejuvenated lungs - borrowed time - he worked like a man posessed - Hah! the irony struck him.
He let another burst off towards the light buildings - he thought he saw something move - one of the navy scuds still with enough dumb ignorance left to fire back - fragggin small arms .. he thumbed the AT warhead safety just in case there were a few of them holed up in there, couple more bursts eh - shall I loose another tube Leuit? His grav bobbled to one side as if heavy cargo was being shifted - Leuit.. ? there was a smell, swamp-stink kinda like wet dog the heavy butt that struck him jolted his head forward into the HMG hand controls - thankfully knocking him out otherwise he would have realised his stomach had been ruptured
Micro barrelled into the closest astral swarm - the elementals were too fast and intercepted before he could reach the mage.. the little elemental took the brunt of the first air elemental and was ripped apart, the remnants fading quickly back to the planes. Micro used the slight advantage to tear a great chunk from that same one, ripping a solid tear in the air. The second elemental veered into the assault winding back the thin talons whipping towards him in zigzags.. it froze absolutely stock-still Micro expected astonishment on the elemental's visage - but the planar creature bore no emotion.. no time to wonder.. Micro waded in a second time against the damaged one - ribbons streaming from the rents that he had gouged..
The aura of the astral mage streaked red in rage as she turned towards Micro, the watcher remaining body-close to her... two-to-one - damn In front, the second mage and his wing of summonings slewed from side to side - his limpet watcher was only just now screaming and pointing back towards Micro.. the mage and her watcher and the stilled elemental.. as Micro was able to rip the last of the essence from the still writhing air elemental
three to one and they have another wing coming in as backup.. Micro wondered for an instant... why him..?
F-E watched the front four running flat out up the exposed road towards the control room.. behind them he counted another dozen - lit by the flash-bang delivered into their midst - the second erupted inside the rear group and the firing started from the remaining black clad troopers - couple of hundred rounds in a few seconds - then a nearly audiable click as new mags locked into place and sprayed again F-E could hardly make out what they were firing at - hah - he now had his own four worries
Meg herded the juves quietly along the track - again - looking over her shoulder she saw the campsite near empty but the thin streams of mana lit up the astral like the nearby grenade detonations and mussle flashes lit the physical.. Scared faces turned towards her full of questions..
the answers were all now engaged

The battle has begun...and 4 of the goons were closing in...hopefully Bishop will manage..
"Giles, stay low..on my signal, put that wire in the outlet..."
Four-Eyes watched from the window..yes, they'll be salsa for everyone....they were closing in fast; almost there. "Giles, now!"
After the blast ((hope that'll work out fine..)) He got a grenade out and threw it at whoever of the 4 managed tog et out of the blast alive.

Henri takes advantage of the distraction provided by Micro's attack and launches one of his own. He notices the mage's aura turn red with rage as she turned to face Micro and is unable to keep a grim smile from his face. While her attention is focussed on Micro, Henri makes his move and attacks, attempting to bypass the watcher before either enemy is aware of his presence.
Hopefully, Micro would appreciate the assist and not have any ridiculous notions about fair play or striking a woman.

I grind as I could feel the elemental now obey my every command. For a moment I knew I had to guard micro with it. A instant before giving the command I could see another aura zipping tords the mage. The aura looked familiar. I didn't take the time to ID it, it was heading for the mage on micro and i could see it's desire to attack. I looked to the other mage coming in with elementals on him.
Disrupt him! It looked to the new target flying in.Yes master. Hoping lightning would strike twice I went for one of his elementals next.

As Micro finishes dealing with the surprise interruption of his attack on the mage by the Elemental he notices he is out numbered. Great just what my day needed, If I stay at the mining camp I get in trouble if I leave there is more trouble. Well I did what to get some experience Micro thinks then just then Henri comes streaking into the fight. Oh thank God. Micro thinks as he races behind Henri to help him fight his second Mage Girl since he first joined up with Four Eyes on this bus trip into endless trouble.
I'm not totally out numbered and I will keep Four Eyes spell going for a bit longer but If we get into much more trouble here I may have to drop the spell. I just hope he is not stuck with his head out If I have to.

Up to his waist in mud and bog water, Bishop sunk lower, keeping his head down and his rifle up - he'd be needing a working rifle in a few moments.
The troopers sprayed the roadside with all they had, emptying their mags in a frenzy of ineffective fire. One mag down. In his days working for the Lord Protector the standard issue tac vests held six mags. That would often be four primary and two secondary mags. These were americans, however, and expending ammunition was what they did best. Five mags then - one down - four to go.
There was an assortment of loud clicks as some of the troopers' weapons came up empty and empty mags were ejected in favour of fresh new ones.
Bishop calmly straightened, shouldered his rifle and squeezed off a three round burst before lowering his weight and moving slowly along the side of the road, moving to a new firing position.

They reloaded quickly - the sargeant's eyes were still clearing from the flash - enough to see Jerry take one to the chest and a second to the thigh that sent him spinning past - frag snipers too - another good man down. He quickly counted.. in the immediate area eight were down and ether groggy or had taken the full force - claymores or mines, probably activated by remote to let the first group through.. demonstrated thought and planning, equipped andready for them.. was that spirit rubbish at the camp all part of it..? Someone in the know had to have sold them out.. or decided to make a dent in the share of the pay.. Crap - that meant if they stayed they were dead meat.. what next.. the gravs.. they would be left behind.. He clicked through the comms for his own team We're gettin ripped off here boys - evac to the gravs grab who you can.. hotsmoke coming in
he dropped two smoke canisters - spitting spark and smoke covering their retreat - the three troopers left - each hauling another.. scraping and stumbling their way back to the gravs - a long way back.. Behind the retreating group another two full mags ripped into the surrounding cover
She was about to order the elemental to rip into the mage when it was removed from her control then the mage turned onto her and her accompanying watcher gettim ! the watcher understood the attack order and turned onto the mage - only to be intercepted by the elemental - Kill it - kill it ! poor dogbrain watcher, first the mage now the elemental.. by the time the order had sunk in there was very little of it left - scragged by the elemental and by the time she had finished shouting orders another mage was in her face... not a good time to be around - flee to the safety of her oppo coming in...
two mages and her own elemental up against them - she couldnt do much apart from keep distance until she linked up with the other group.. though what she took in over the next few seconds just kept her going.. heading back to her meat..
Her ex-elemental slammed into the mage - his watcher had orders to protect, but was a lot slower than the elemental.. the two air elementals of his own had no orders to engage yet - the claws slit from his forhead down his torso then up into his bowels he, the watcher and the two accompanying creatures of air all slid from her view leaving her on her lonesome.. At least the controlled air elemental went as well.. Now she only had two mages on her tail
sorry Shade nothing left to control..

Chuck links into the comms noticing the recent stuuter of smallarms fire from further back down the road.. He peers over the slumped drivers shoulder through the heavy glass window slit out into the compound... the other gravs have surrounded the shoreline bunker - their rear doors are open facing it with their noses and turretts trained on the thin inland structures - taking a burst every so often at a movement. There are bound to be navy hunkered down in there praying that noone close decides to be a hero and bring down more heavy fire
It looks like the main target is the shoreline bunker- a hardened area probably for ship /sub repairs or protection
to the sides of his own grav six troopers in total taking potshots.
the grav engines are still turning over keeping the vehicle afloat - a squawk comes across the grav comms Comms blackout should be restored soon - we need that cover for the next twenty minutes - any report on progress there? thats a no but getting report of resistance should understand soonest out
the four reach the top of the ramp in the darkness - behind them the smallarms has started but they got a job to do up here. Two cover while the front two reach either side of the door quietly. The first grips the handle and slowly turns it - ready to burst in H&K at the ready
This is packleader we have sat-exposure and confirm hostiles we have a confirm on ATG deployment - commence weapon check

((Huh..great 'guess my thing didn't work then..good thing I trapped the door I suppose..))
Four-Eyes heard some clicking sound; the door handle moved..Damn..they were here.
Giles was hiding low near some desk, while Milie was in the other room working the controls. Damn damn invisibility spell sucked; sure nice to have to go unoticed, not much for an attack...no sport.
He placed himself behind a file cabinet, getting out his flare launcher. Now to wait for them to enter..that flare will blind them for sure....then the grenade will do his thing.
