the door flies open - first guy dives in to the right second across to the right. the clunk of the plantpot is followed by the miniflare from behind the cabinet into the doorway lighting up the two troopers as the gremade goes off between them.. Gawd! F-E's ears take a hammering from the concussion inside the crete control room - most of the blast is cushioned by the troopers as they tumble through the air..
outside.. the next two enter in a similar manner - well they would have but they are deterred by the explosion and take a few seconds to shake off the shock - F-E realises they are not happy bunnies as safeties click off in the silence
Bishop has three still active but they look to be pulling out - not high-tailing it - retiring.. still under control.. soon the three they grabbed will be in better shape. The remaining ones will soon be covered by the rolling thermo-smoke as the cannisters gush. They were stopped in their tracks.. will they break and run?
Micro an Henri can easily follow the mage-ess... she is now outnumbered and has just had her astral support ripped from her along with her compatriot she aint sticking around - heading back to the naval site

That damn grenade rang out solid, not to mention had made a nice job on the first 2 goons.
The following 2 seems to be meaning business, guns ready and loaded, they'll be looking for blood. Keeping low, Four-eyes advenced to the left of the door; if thoe guys decided to enter as thier pal, he'll be clsoe by to welcome them.. That flare, he hoped would mask his thermal signature, a nice help form that still-untested improved invisibility spell...
Taking his Deputy in his left hand and getting out his dikote machette with his right, he readied himself to flank thoese bastards.

Micro sees the Mage start to high tail it out of there. Well I could run after her but there is no way I want to run into a trap. At least with this retreat Four Eyes wont be getting attacked from astral and have no way to defend. Micro decides to give a looks see to try and spot anything that would be a trap if he does decide to fallow.

Four-Eyes has four approaching the control block - as you watch from astral there is a release of physical energy as the first two attempt to dive through the door but get blasted and badly injured from their astral sig.. leaves two for him..
Bishop is harder to spot but the carnage on the road is easy.. the hot smoke does provide cover as it is a big cloud of hot particles.. however the figures in the smoke are in various states of damage with half a dozen of them staggering back towards the naval site If you wanted to spend time searching for Bishop you could...

Chuck looks around the cabin - heaving the slumped body from off the banks of controls.. which will allow manual drive and nav capability as well as a couple of jackpoints.. there are usually various buttons an switches that can be used to do dangerous stuff - tempting...
More chatter comes across the grav internal comms Jeeze ! mage down.. medic ! grav four pronto - looks like his chest is ohmigod..
Outside in astral Henri and Micro consider following the mage-ess -- she should get back to her meat slightly ahead of you two - wherever her meat is located... as for traps, there is a lot of space inbetween you and the naval site so any ambush would happen when you are close in...
There are plenty of signatures down in there - troopers firing into buildings and cover while naval personnel (they have to be..) are hunkering down and putting a burst out now and then, well surpressed..
the gravs surround the shoreline bunkers which are now open smoke and fumes pouring out of the wrecked plassteel doors - whatever they came for is in there - the gravs could move into the barracks area and wipe out the remaining matlows but are more intent in remaining in position just keeping them all pinned down.
Shade breathes another deep one through the corners of his mouth - just because youve got elementals with you doesnt mean you are protected Hah! - the watcher although quite tough was just so slow compared with an air elemental - even the mage reacted poorly.. probably expecting the show of strength to be enough to deter any attack. Food for thought if they used or needed spirit protection
F-E hits the first cutting into the side of his thigh - the thin bars in the suit taking the sting from the blow.. and bringing the blade around to his shoulder as he attempts to twist out of the way, badly ... he continues twisting towards the ground shouting choice curses. If he is able to do anything it will be with a lot of pain ...
The attack negates the invisibiity (which Micro notices too) F-E is quite pleased with this as he knows exactly where the pistol grips are.. trooper two turns an sprays, his H&K phutting through the fat silencer
Down in the swamp Bishop has a couple of choices chase down or stay put.. there is a satisfaction of sorts in getting the job done but it seemed like it was all too easy - couple of well placed grenades followed by a few bursts all well controlled, numbers counted... On the upside, the flasbangs would wear off pretty soon and by the time the hotsmoke dispersed, most of them would be fully back on their feet.. three he had dropped and four he knew had taken a full blast leaving five reasonably able..
twenty metres down the road from him were three troopers carry-dragging three companions - reasonably easy targets though one of them had the nouse to drop covering smoke, there should be another cannister soon if the guy knew anything....

Four-Eyes drops the first guy in a heap - to be greeted by the last man standing who releases a short burst at him. attempting to fade into the darkness and escape the spitting lead is barely successful - but that's all you need as the 10S rips holes in your coat - could be the poor light that put him off.. you reply with two heavy shells .. and he too twists out of the way (damn that poor lighting) You are quicker than him by a long chalk you still have two phases left - He can see you are faster and will blow him away eventually - so he rolls forward swinging up his SMG towards you - more of an attempt to get in close than a real attack
just to help you out, two single shots ring out from inside the control room one sizzles between you both and the other clips one of you.. well it is dark! If you were wearing a helmet it would have bounced with a satisfying zzinnggg off the polymer but you dont so it zips so close to your ear that you can hear it spinning past.

Chuck SVs to the group.Coming in hot. I've seemed to have picked up a GRAV. I'm locked in and driven like I got a devil rat up my hoop. This is kinda cool. Never drove one of these before. Chuck heads back towards the control room where F-E went.Any one have gunnery? I got the toys now omeas. Chuck puts it to the floor boards trying to run over anyone who came in these GRAVS.
OOC May be awhile befroe I can reply again. I seem to be having a hard time getting to posting board. I can get to the home page but the it keeps looping me back to it over and over again.

The guy managed to dodge the shots, he got lucky..Yet again, so did Four-Eyes; the darkness did serve it's purpose, unfortunately for both of them.
The Goons charged a little, and as Four-Eyes moved back, someone decided to fire twice blindly in the dark, like it came from the control room; Damn Milie..
Dropping his machette, he moved to the side, trying to get away from Milie's line of fire, and took out his pocket flashlight..shooting the light beam on the goon, he fired with his Deputy.

Micro decides not to make a dash after the running mage. Unless on of my teammates wants me for back up I'm heading back to my body to know what is going on there.
Micro zips over to Henri. I'm returning to my body I'll be back unless you guys need me right now. Unless Henri wants Micro to stay he flies back to his meat shell and give a quick look from astral to see if his body or the students they are protecting are in any form of trouble. When done he pops into his body and asks Meg for the 411 on what is happening.

The controls are squaddie-proof made to be robust and easy to use. The grav is already powered up and humming – it is just like pulling the driver out at the lights and roaring off into the barrens chop shop.. only this was a little bigger and tougher and heavily armed.. grav six maintain position – we have unknown hostiles in the hydro area and are awaiting confirmation of support needs - that is an affirmative grav six – please support hydro operation
and the go-ahead too ! Chuck was well pleased and informed the rest of the group – a nasty surprise for the troopers..
Max intervened.. Chuck there is air support coming in, I recon ninety seconds – your grav may well be a target - unless you got heavy ECM acive in there I suggest get the hell out of the thing..

Henri nods his assent to Micro, "Shade should be able to cover F-E by himself now." With that, Henri returns to his own body and is a little put out to find that both Chuck and Bishop have left it unprotected. "Fraggers." he mutters as he belly crawls toward the site of Bishop's ambush, attempting to spot Bishop and stay out of the enemy's line of sight as he goes.
