Unless you all decide otherwise.. Shade has proposed an option - I presume we would never see anything of this gear again. it is good that people stick their necks out for a cause -
it would be useful to know a little about the group you would entrust this hellhole to though.. it does not sound as if it is affilliated to any corp - and my own affiliations mean that I need to know that this vile equipment will go into what I believe would be safe hands
I belong to a circle who have a dedication into removing these kinda parasites - but they may not be big enough to investigate this, and apply anything useful..
so we are getting a few options - it is your choice how to do this

When Shade mentions what he thinks the transmitters are for Mist's eyes light up. Oh cool lets take a look at that. Mist flies over to the transmitters and starts studying them and taking them apart. This stuff could be used to set up a trap or an ambush if he is right a way to draw these things in for the kill just have to find out how to get some control over the distance since then we will be able to control how many show up... a bit of control but not a lot... Mist keeps working away as the group tries to figure out what to do.
I'd like to know more about these things I'm more game for the set up cameras track who comes our selves thing is we are going to want to not run the data back to Meg's since it will draw down the heat. We could use a safe house or a mobile van to run the data too. Then we have some cushion from attacks.
(OOC so what do you mean by reducing your thread to not at all once a month or what??? I know your cutting back but any idea how much yet??)</div>

Mist is for drawing any allies into ambush - that would mean us keeping hold of everything and not letting another organisation take it all off our hands.
so we are getting a good idea of what you all would prefer - we all need to settle on one choice for this
maybe you could think of some of the advantages or drawbacks.. could we take it on - is there the yen or the manpower - the security or the willingness?
(OOC - I am looking to reducing this from my input to me dipping in once in a while (once every couple of weeks?)- I dont think I will be able to run things like I have in the past - but that shouldnt stop you from writing up scenes or incidents for yourselves. )

After a few seconds consideration, Blackout decided not to go against the flow. He was a company man now, not a shadowrunner, and it required a bit more... legal discretion. "Alright, if they're interested in it that works for me, otherwise we trash the place. Let's not waste any more time." Blackout decided to leave the emplaced guns as they were, he would be better off saving his income to get some better-quality gear to set up.
(if this game is going to be slowing down, I know some other online games you guys could join if you're interested, one cyberpunk game and a few world of darkness games, PM me if you want more details)

Bishop snapped away with his camera, varying his shots from wide panning shots to close-ups that would capture any significant details. With enough photographs he would be able to completely rebuild the scene and examine it at his leisure when time and circumstances allow. He leafed through all of the papers, snapping shots of each sheet for viewing later. "We can run this all through an OCR algorithm later to digitize it all if necessary. With enough time I'll be able to provide translations." He found one page of particular interest and lifted it from the table, his lips moving as he read the contents to himself in German whilst the others discussed matters amongst themselves. "I would be very careful setting explosive charges." He said, switching back to English "If we really are making powerful enemies then a good forensics team will identify the chemical signature of any explosives and trace them to the seller." "Still, this place needs to be vaporized. We're fighting a stronger enemy with bigger friends and more resources - we don't have the resources to hold it down whilst we examine everything and we don't have the luxury of trusting outside help. We should learn what we can about how to track down the next - we don't need to understand their motives, we just need to know how to find and kill them." OOC:
Bishop will take Paracritters/vampire: 1/5
Applying the knowledge: [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Ro6 [dice=6] + using German to make sense of some of the documents: [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] + points for photography if applicable: [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Ro6 [dice=6]
Strange rule of 1s role that I don't really get... not sure how many dice to use

"Bishop's right, if they want us after this they'll figure out a way to find us. However if we do decide to give it to the order, I can get a copy of their results in full and they will help protect us." Shade was still sorting and saw Bishop move towards another of a dozen piles he had laid out and sorted. "Not that one, that's a dump pile and so are the other two next to it." He pointed to another pile on the floor under a table. "That one's complete and contains 103 pages." He turned back to his sorting. "I know where all the papers that go to what are but it's a matter of getting it done plus the papers could serve as material links if needed."
Shade decided he needed some helping hands, four in fact. He took a moment to work up two magic fingers spells and used them to help sort.
Shade kept sorting like a machine and two pairs of disembodied glowing hands flew around him picking up papers and dropping them in piles, including the dump piles. Sometimes a paper leaves the dump piles and joins it's friends in mostly finished stacks. Bishop was moving all over place slowing Shade down. He starts moving and dropping piles in places out of his way. He dropped completed paper piles away from the work area so he didn't have to worry about dodging the Brit. "I sent my watchers down the other tunnels to find the surface, if they haven't found it by now it must be a good long way." <tht>I hope this new class of watcher is smart enough to know when to double back, otherwise we'll be searching them ourselves.
The oddest part of the whole experience was that Shade wasn't actually touching the papers. Even before the hands, papers were simply flying from across the room into floating piles next to him. <tht>I'm starting to like being part air spirit. He estimated he still had a little over half a hour left.
OC: Wombat your specialization can only be twice your base skill, with the exception of 1/3.

"I'm total fine with vaporizing the place but we should still keep tabs on the place since some one is going to come looking for this place. Only down size is that the eyes we have here will be trace able. Oh ya that reminds me. Mist turns on his astral sight and starts to clean any trace of Shade's Meg's and his own aura from the spells they casted here. </div>

(OOC the roll is to see how much research you gain from the photos/ samples you gather - so Bishop gleans absolutely rucks of intel from the paracritter Kn - linking what the theory tells him to what he has seen in action all seems to fit nicely = 5 successes out of 5.. supported with German 3 successes as it is a support skill gains you another success. After you analyse the photos you are able to piece together even more with a further 3 successes making nine successes in total and a single 1
this research score is how much information you can piece together and use to follow up further trails - it could be a reflection of just how foccussed Bishop is in this kind of work that he can gather so much from the data he collected. How to use it..? well you could take each piece as a single lead and follow it up the trail to a single useful conclusion - maybe a supplier or a fence or nail down a contact or an item. You could pile em all together and lead to a whole nest of the thingies or even a vault-full of looted treasures
the 1 is an indication of the synergy you have created - you have read between the lines and gathered a truth which would not be obvious from all of the little bits of data you look through - rather it would be along the lines of... when you project the photos on your wall you rearrange them in different categories to try to make sense of it... something about the way the notebook pages begin to mesh with the handwritten notes which in turn refer to the power conversions required to provide the correct harmonics...
For Bishop there is some specific information which he sees which gives him a unique insight into what a vampire is... anyone else looking at this data will gain a lot of hard-nose facts but not be able to make that leap of faith. You can translate this knowledge into something real and useful which noone else has been able to see before - it could be a fact about vampyre and how to kill them easier or about their way of thinking or some esoteric understanding you have made the link to - This is where you as players can apply your research.. you now have a 'pool' of leads clues and connections that you have gathered through your research.
You also all have an insight into the enemy from rolling those 1s. Think of this as Cthulu insanity.. you have been able to think outside the box because you have been in so deep. Will this have a long term effect upon you? Up to you. You can use the insight any way you choose - you know they will react in a certain manner and can use this to your advantage.. again what sort of advantage is up to you. In the 'Blade' films he uses a variety of tools and knows that the familiars all have tattoos and there is a definate higherarchy.. all intel gained through his own struggles. all very combat oriented - you may decide to apply it to where they come from or how.. feeding needs or allergies - dogs and cats yowl at them maybe...
Meg has done the same with 2 x roll of 1s while Freddy yattled on about electronics she realised that the key to her insight has been power - which she then confirms.. angels, demons and devils have all been recorded as being called using power - something has been required to bridge a gap - in all of the pictures there have been these signs of power useage - a halo, lightning , storms in the background, earthquake, ritual magic circles, mass ceremonies, blood sacrifice of human energies all of these have been either representations of power applied in a certain ritual manner to bridge a gap
to where? Meg suspects that the ceremonies of Howling Cyote to free his people and break the USA were plenty big enough to cause a weakening which allowed things to pass across - maybe there were rents which needed a light to guide something across - power to either widen a gap or to tempt things through.. She now suspects that it is the mind set of the caller that brings across the type of creature.. and the bigger the directed ceremony the bigger the cracks.
So one of her insights is that there is a link between the 'want' of the caller the power involved and the creature which comes across. Maybe she will research into tech magic circles or applying the Seattle grid into summoning sky spirits..
her second insight is that the Zibree are like traditional demons called across to empower the caller - the vampire virus perpares the body and the ritual they go through calls the Zibree spirit into the prepared shell - the Zibree vampire spirit occupies the callers body or another prepared husk and makes adjustments to it hence the transformation differences... bat wolf humanoid and even enormous amoeboid would be true forms - most believing in the bat-myth from South America so transforming into bat creatures.. but other sub-cults may believe in different manifestations of their 'gods'
Can she use this - in a practical manner probably not but she could use the knowledge to be ready for the beast which it changes into - purified liquids could be more effective against some while silver blades better against others....

(OOC looks like this 'kiss of death' has now stopped you all from trying something out for yourselves.. PBPM doesnt have to be run by one person - you have all created your own playground, I asked you to image slides swings and kids skinning their knees an you have done.. they are all there to play on.
Well Meg soon goes on to qualify twelve budding alchemists who all go their separate ways - corporate sponsorship snaps them all up (maybe Fade dissappears..) through her fast-track graduate programme. The students create for themselves a power focus each and in return they create a second one for their master - her. these, along with the created orichalcum and the payment from the British college of arts net her around six mill yen. She also holds their contracts through Sadder-Krupp for one year and one day which the AAA corp can buy out and they do. Ensuring that the C rated company Commute shares rocket upon realisation that they have made vile amounts of profit. As the governing shareholders Meg and Freddy become overnight bubble millionaires - bubble because investors have seen exactly the same scams crash an burn hundreds of times before... the other 49% stockholders Freddy's ma and Pa sell their holdings while the going is good. Politics begins to rear its ugly head - Aztech put a squeeze on the British universities in order to slow the uptake of graduates - this backfires as Benny has been providing first hand observation of the tutoring methods and recons he can run similar himself with UK support.. pulling the plug from beneath Meg's feet. The well-intentioned gesture stumbles and falls - no sponsors as anyone interested trys it for themselves.. supply economics in a cuthroat corp world.
Gottal the Aztech exec gloatingly requests the 12 units of orichalcorun and is duly paid two as per the bargain for 50% discount on supplies for the next six years.. of course if the Dragon requires more of the soothing ichor then the Dragon will either pay through the nose or force the slave pits to create further ill-manufactured batches..
Meg an Freddy have a lot to rebuild - and considering they have reaped the bubble selling stocks before the burst... Meg was considering the exiled gifted as more long term erm co-workers. Resurrecting the Artisan guild appeals to her - top yen for top products neh?
Of course the vast quantities of yen will have to be sunk into good causes.. as a patron there are things that yen can open a lot faster than a shaped charge... and things to consign to the depths that only teams of trusted compatriots can make happen

hopefully this gives you something to work with - I suggest you use this as a springboard to move onto your own projects.. write up your character's next moves - maybe someone else will join in with you..
use the resources around you as well - I purposefully closed down Meg's 'easy access' to cash and Alchemy otherwise it would become a vehicle for her to generate a few mill every year along with huge quantities of magical accessories.
The big organisations see that it can be done and try to force magic tuition in a sausage-machine corporate manner failing dismally.. it requires a diferent sort of dedication and they soon fall back into 3 year Alchemy courses. Meg is not contacted to help out as they would lose too much face - her 'experiment' is written up with a lot of political pressure on Meg - it is seen as a good example of a dedicated team of motivated practitioners devoting 24/7 to high flying A grade students who require fine-tuning. Yes it works however the economics are too high. Reccomendations are for corporates to set up their own long term academies 20 year contracts which ought to be cost-effective.
The experiment for Meg demonstrated that an Alchemist has to dedicate virtually all the waking hours to the journeyman and would be looking at burnout after a few years. She does gain access to a four year tour of lectures around the globe and a juicy consultancy fee for remaining within the percieved academic interests of the magical community. Some may say she sold out to corp interests but looking at the punishing schedule you all went through - maybe something less ambitious would be the answer.
Meg and Freddy keep up the Commute site - at a greatly reduced capacity. The Snake-Oil shop on the waterfront is a means to pull in untrained mages who recognise the macically active objects amongst the tat in the window.. Without the pressure of intense tuition they can turn their attention to other projects
So what can you do with a lot af yen and a knowledge that there are vile things out there.. and the will to trace them down..

(I'm sorry, but you're talking about ending the game, it's hard for me to get into the post-encounter wrap-up especially considering my character hasn't got the history and ongoing projects that everyone else has if any of you have anything you specifically want blackout to be part of let me know, but otherwise I think I'm done here)

OOC - Apologies, I'm moving tomorrow. I planned on making a post before then, but I'll have to see how the packing goes at this point and if my creative juices are up to the task.
I have to confess that I'm not quite sure what the parameters are at this point - I'm used to very GM-driven games as opposed to player-driven and whilst I have plenty of plans for what Bishop should do with his future (including being a Johnson on his own run) he unfortunately lacks the resources to pull it off at this point. A few more high-paying runs will therefore likely be in order.
I would GM Bishop's own run if only A) I had the time around my shift pattern, B) I had internet from this point and C) The character had the IC resources to make it happen. Unfortunately at the moment none of these issues can be said to be true

Mist spends time talking with Micro with the job coming to an end with Meg the two decide to work together. So you say that this Tower club you regularly visit also has a job the two of use can do. Micro asks Mist in the enchanting room at Megs complex. Ya I have even been admitted into there Magic group they are wanting us to travel the world looking to find out everything we can about Magic they say they will sport some of the expense we have and your welcome to join me on my quest to find out more about the workings of magic. Mist tells Micro, the two go into detail about what the work would need them to do and some items they would have to collect first before they start work.
(OOC I guess I'll from time to time post here on what the two are doing since I am not really a GM I'll have Micro become an NPC and roll 2 d 6 after a break makes it in to the story and give him that much Karma and leave Mist as a player character that never gets any better until a real game pops up here again. I am in another game on the site that Mr Johnson just posted on this site so I'll write a story for these two and see what happens. Not really a new game but if you want your character to join the story at any time go for it.)
