OOC:
Did you know that sound based motion racking (ultrasound) is useless against sheets? That's right! The soft sheet absorbs the incoming sound and no you may not ask how I know this.

*looks up and grumbbles under his breath as he beigns to look for a way to get up to the crazy man's area.. he still holds the pistol though incase he needs to use it as more than a club.... shooting them woudl have been so much easier on hindsight...*

((use the tape/primer as a temp measure then the mages can take extra time to set up the bucket as a more permanent measure?))

OOC: Don't think Henri's gonna be able to help much with this. He doesn't know any TK manipulations. Maybe something else for his to do list there?

OOC: Why do you think I bought the last set of spells I did? Sometimes stealth and imp invis aren't enough.

Henri thinks through some of the stuff he has done earlier - fooling the cams outside and inside with a trid phantasm worked well before... that would be good enough to fool the IR on the cam - this would need a roll to see how effective it is in overcoming a cheap standard piece of kit like the IR cam.. TN3.. you need to then have someone deliver the tape or spray onto the IR cam and the Ultrasound in order to 'gag' them Once that is in place - fixing the bucket will be easy Silverwing is too 'flappy' or not stealthy enough (OOC - these modern ultrasound detectors are pressure-wave detectors and will detect runners dressed as ghosts no easy way past them except to go slow and careful - sneak incerases your potential speed.. though would a physical illusion of a bucket fool the thing..? it depends on how good it's rating is.. knowing the Star it will be 3-4 otherwise runners would be sneaking in and thieving the really good ones which are worth a bomb!) you could use a mana spell - which is not viewable through machines.. to light the place up for people - and reduce the TN you are still left with blinding the thing.. Bishop would just love to blow it off the ceiling - but knows it has to remain intact You may have to work in this place for a couple of days - on and off - investigating the tunnells

No - my mind is made up - the students have another week and are now used to fine-tuning their work. I can take some time out. The team is getting to the Carfax underground which needs a real good look and I intend to be there. You're not available but your spells are... so what I'm askin is for you to cast it on me as powerful as you can witout it physically affecting you I can then carry it into the underground - you recon this will go out to a range of a whole block 50 - 60 metre an should pick up all but the very powerful ? no - I know it wont pick up spirits but it should pick up dual creatures includin ghoul an vampyre. OK Fred - lay some 'fluence on me once the team crack into the main tunnels
She collected some of her old gear - to get changed later on. too many eyes were onsite. too many questions might be raised.

OCC Seems like the only way to deal with the motion detector is to put a bucket on it unless a trid wall would block the motion sensor, but you wouldn't want to bring it up too fast you would want to easy it over the sensor. Since it is Henri's spell he would know if it works on motion sensors like the ultra sound or not. But either way we will want a bucket there so he can drop the spells. So I guess I'll give you the roll.)
SV Well my light spell is low powered it can only drop the darkness a little bit (2 points) so I think my astral sight will have to do.
(OOC I'll wait for any more input but next time (tomorrow) if there is no other options I'll cast the spell and see what happens)

You could disengage the motor underneath and stop the sweep - interfering with the phisical motion would be as tricky as putting a bucket slowly over the top of it... and it would still be scanning in one direction. a rough twist would alert it just as much ad a badly manouvered bucket!

((as long as it's kept pretty slow, blackout should be able to keep the signal jammed so anyway, I think everything to say on the matter has been said, a temporary mask of primer then tape the bucket in place seems to be a viable plan, so if everyone's ok with that (bishop?) I say you might as well go ahead micro))

Micro takes a big breath Ok here goes. Micro gets his spell set in his mind to see if he can do it, no pressure or anything time to see what happens.
Gremlins (that is right if I mess up this with a roll of 2 ones where in deep drak) [dice=6][dice=6]
Spell (Levitate F1 (will do) Casting: TN 6, Sorcery 7+ Spell Pool 6 = 13 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]
Drain 3Mstun Will 6 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] (OOC no Drain but no succeses use 1 karma pool to reroll failures) [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] (OOC I don't want to use the last 4 karma pool work #@# it)
Ya 1 success ;D[rand=8980727843748684757952974303501260920917178525312449197191812521]

Micro must have been practicing - the bucket slowly - oh so slowly - raises itself then travels towards the pod.. the waiting is excruciating all of you want to scream 'get a bloody move-on!' but Micro is wrapped in his efforts oblivious to your mental urgings..
the bucket bwobbles it's way towards the pod - there are four light metal-on-plas bumping noises - sweat drips - but with a final concentrated push - the bucket covers the camera pod and Micro croaks It's covered.. With a huge sigh three other sets of lungs gasp in fresh air after holding it in for so long.. Bishop Henri and Blackout spill into the room using their pencil lights and within a short time the bucket has been propped up with a pole and sealant applied around the rim to secure it to the ceiling Gawd that was an effort.. sighs Micro..
(OOC Micro was able to beat the Ultrasound with loads of successes but the actual getting the TN number eluded him until that extra effort was made.. nice one!)
messages are relayed - the underground carpark is lit and secured
You begin the search for an immediate access route. the place is covered in fresh crete - it has been roughly piped in and sprayed around filling any vents routes and holes which have evidence of digging/ clawing - everything at low level has been plugged.
There ar half a dozen high vents which have been left accessible one of them is yours.
there is an access hatch in the ceiling too - with a careful look the plates have been welded rather than creted over - they could be blown to allow heavy troopers to drop down.. well at the very least you can use the crallway to bring in any portable gear you would want to use.
you affix a light rope ladder to the vent and begin bringing down the heavy thermite and other odds and sods you have.
looking at the crete splashes - thet cover up a lot of recent burning - there are smoke marks higher up the walls and on the ceiling - fresh carbon soot - the place has been flamered. there are imprints of LMG casings under the crete slop. a lot of heavy weopanry fire was used in here.
your object is to secure then set up the thermite to burn through the crete barrier where you know the tunnelling had been opened up alongside the heavy water-piping.
(OOC - anyone had much dealing with ghouls - or any knowledge of/ on them? the mages would have a rudimentary knowledge - but anyone studied or encountered anything more than third hand academic reports?)
