Micro - you can meet up with Illiya - you F-E an Meg will all visit soonest - you can post your requests/ info or ask her a few questions anytime - each of you will have some kinda biz with her.
This could also relate to training learning and exploring possibilities...
Meg has a quiet word with her after letting you and F-E each have a talk and exchange ideas and envelopes... Micro may even want to stay for a day or two in the offices. 'browsing back catalogues'
Write up what you are thinking about....

Congrats Bishop on the agressive stance - it is definately your style - means if there is anything left then you could be in deep trouble. I believe the Samaurai called the style that of a 'short winged falcon' in and rip. From my point of view it seemes as if you are both evenly matched - if Harley had prepared her defence you would have had a tough time of it..
Saying that I think that between you both you ought to be able to flatten most opposition. Do either of you augment your attacks with an 'iron fist'? a yawara or knuckledusters - not that you would need to..
I use Akido - preferring to avoid getting hammered - as once you are in their face it is difficult for the opposition to use any firearms with any real accuracy. Problem is getting there.
Meg seems to know quite a lot about martial arts.
(OOC Harley gains three sucesses vs Bishop's five = Bishop wins the overall engagement with two sucesses. H to H strM stun up to a S. I think. Winner takes all in SR so if you can pile it on and swamp the opposition you can continue with the upper hand. You should be able to whittle a troll down as long as he doesnt get that lucky blow in - no offense Chuck! the second defensive move is redundant unless Bishop wants to use up any leftover pool + his skill and keep the successes for next phase This would be continuing the leg kick then rising to prepare for the next wave - if it comes - Bishop could then decide to use that move or begin another - two bites of the cherry
I think that is correct.. The unarmed combat moves provide some interesting special effects. You should think about buying them..

Swimming is under athletics. Wouldn't boating be a knowledge skill?

Like a dog called off from the attack, Bishop withdrew, stepping back several paces. He let Meg have her say, responding to her question as she spoke it.
"I've never felt the need for martial arts training, bone hardening included - if I'm stupid enough to bash my knuckles against hard surfaces, including peoples' skulls, I deserve to get them broken."
He turned to move away, the interview finished. It seemed Meg was impressed by Harley's skill, and she wasn't entirely wrong - the girl did have some moves. But the fact remained that Bishop, who considered his hand to hand skills to be humble at best, had put her on her back in less than ten seconds.
"Skill doesn't count for everything." He said to her, gesturing for her to follow him. "There are no prizes for second place in our line of work. No second chances. If you're going to be our close quarters specialist, you're going to need to start playing for keeps."

Harley frowned but moved to get her gear, grunting a little from having been on her ass. She merely bends to get her gear and follow, remaining quiet.

theres a new tech coming in with Shade - word is he runs drones - can people remind him that drones will be targetted onsite by the bots - running an electronic recognition signal could be copied and used against us.
We will have to sort out accommodation - there ought to be a couple of people onsite at any time, but is everyone looking to remain - or do you have your own soft beds elsewhere?
keeping to a 3 shift standard you would be onsite for 16 hours - 8 active 8 passive - and a further 8 elsewhere. It would be easy to set up a cabin. You may think about staggering shifts if you want a day or so off to follow your own callings - no problem in that - this would not have to be itemised jst a brief note to outline what you are up to.

Micro read through the paper and electronic ads to locate some new pads to bunker down in and filled in his land lord of his move now he was off to see Iliya. Micro pulls up on his blue bike wairing his usual, trench coat and fine clothing and proceeds to see if he can get a conversation with Illiya about a few things.
Once Micro gets into seeing Illiya he gives here the usual hand shake and how are things greeting, then gets down to the reason for his visit. I have a few things I was wanting to know, the first is with my Iniative level I've gotten now. I want to get spells cheaper and with less cost to the energy (KARMA) I have to put into them, mainly the energy so I can save up some of it for an ally. Micro pauses for a bit I'm also looking to get an ally too but I don't think it is time just yet. So if you could give me some info on how to go about these things that would be great. After Micro gets his answer for these questions he will proceed to the last thing he was hoping to find out about. Me and a few mages where hoping to be able to summon up some top of the line Elementals, since you got our report about the bug incident we got our selves into you know they could be of help. The problem is summoning something that big needs lots of space and can attract unwanted eyes in our direction if you have any idea of where we can do it or where we can find out where we can do it a point in the right direction would be great. As Micro waits to hear what Illiya has to say his thoughts start to run down some people that may be able to help. I could check with Shaun at his store see what he has to say about a location for summoning he is more into the gear of magic but he may have someone he can call and get the info. Blair my magical doc friend is more for bruses and such but you never know, Zad may have a location I could use but it will most likely cost a lot since he loves his money and may need to grease the palms of his higher ups. I don't know Henri the store keep enouph to bring him in on this but I should go see him in a bit any way. Last there is that Johnson Zad introduced me to a bit back he might now some where but like Zad it will cost me a side job for him or money. Well we will start of with what Illiya gives me.

Bishop proceeded to lead Harley around the complex, showing her the areas she would need to see and generally taking care of housekeeping. He kept an eye out for the rest of the crew, introducing her to anyone he caught site of but otherwise remaining silent unless addressed.

At 6, Four-Eyes and Red were ready; He had his smartgoggles on with his Uzi sling over his shoulder, Red and the same, but he was packing his AK. A short trip 'round Puyallup, cutting by Hell's kitchen, and they were at one of the Black Rain's hangout, some decaying building that passed for a bar in the neighborhood.
A nice, too nice for Carbonado, 4 door 4x4 truck was parked outside. A human was sitting in the back.
"All right bro, don't fuck this up for me..you do the talking, I just stand there looking tough" The Ork was tenced..no, exited; meeting a rising star like Cold Fury was something Red was actually looking forward to.
"Yeah yeah, not the first time I did that..here, take this, it's a commlink, so we'll keep in touch while I drive them in. you follow in my car."
"Ok"
Inside, there was an Ork with a faint blue-tinted skin and protuberant eyes which characterized this ork as half-japanese. This was Billy Mura, Leader of the Black Rain. With him was sleek looking Ork with a flashy green mohawk and a leather jacket with the Dark Tide band logo, a closed green fist. Off the side a little was a short asian woman, dressed with camping clothing that, (un)fortunately, left little to the imagination.
"Holy shit man ha ha! You're Cold Fury!" "That's right..that's right...So you are taking us outta Carba and into Cascade turf? "I am. Name's Delacroix. He's Red." "Good, you two will do. "Good, you two will do. What do you say Nightshade?" The Asian woman looked at Four-Eyes and Red, giving them a once over. "I have no objections." "Cool..So we get paid now or after?" "Half up front." "Deal." Cold Fury looked expectantly at Nightshade, before the woman took out a credstick. Four-Eyes checked it before passing it to Red for safe keeping. " 'Heard I'm to take you in the Cascades on the '90. Still good?" "You can get us past any checkpoints? We are packing." The asian woman grinned "I believe there are as well, Tusks-san." "Ol' Billy here said you didn't want to pass checkpoints. I didn't plan for that." "Sounds solid. Let's get this show on the road." "Right then. Red will follow us in my car. I'll drive your truck."
Red went the Americar, while Four-Eyes went in with the runners to the truck. " 'This my man Errrant. he's the Magic guy." The Mage just nodded, he was visibly lost in thoughts. Four-Eyes just nodded back. -----------------------------------------------------
45 minutes later, they left Seattle's border by some dirt road, the change was sudden. One second it's the barren wasteland of Puyallup, the next it's trees. Good thing since the trio spend time loaded guns (like cold fury's chromed up Guardian) and putting camo suits. "So, whatcha gonna do there? Don't think you're packin' or wearin' armour for a show.." "Just a little collection. But you never know when things can get ugly. Who is your boy in the Cascade Orks that we are hooking up with?" "What boy?" "Billy said you guys know some people in the Cascade Orks. "They might be of some help to us." "Nah man, you heard it wrong. He was talkin' to Red. I'm the guy that knows 'bout the Cascades. 'Been there a few times..good folks." "So they won't give us any trouble? I don't want to spill any fellow Ork blood. Too much of that goes on back in Seattle." "Well, you might spark up interest 'Been governing themselves..but they don't mind some small arms shootin'..'cept if you start causing trouble or walkin' 'round with an AR or somethin' you should be fine. 'Breethers might get noticed, but if they don't stir shit up, you should be fine." "Good, then this should work smoothly." "So collectin' what by the way?" "Just some sort of sample in the woods. Something to do with that Wendigo." "It is probably best we didn't say any more about it..." Four-Eyes bit his lips. how the hell did they know about that? The times were covering their angels when they got the story printed...maybe corp interest? Might as well play innocent. "Wait..what? What Wendigo?" "The one that got iced some time back. Nothing to worry about." "Wendigo that got done? Heh..'Must be with the army now if that's true. Good luck gettin' through them.." Nightshade's eyebrows pick up. "With the army?" "Yeah, got 'chopers, bunch of guns and from what I heard, most of those guys are Desert War vets..not a crowd to piss off or go against." Errant the Mage seemed to snap out of his thoughts and finally spoke for the first time. "You know the site where it was iced? Might safe us some time if we can check that out." "Can't help you there chum..ain't know nothin' 'bout a Wendigo.."
Then silent fell in the truck. Possibly the realization they were over their heads, listened to a story from the Johnson only to find out he was full of bullshit. It went like this for a while, maybe 30-40 minutes of just having the sound of the engine and the branches scrapping off the paint. Then the I-90, on the other side of the border was in view. Only 10 minutes to the diner.
"I knew we should have asked for more Nuyen." "Dunno..how much are you gettin' for that collection anyways?" "Not enough, never enough really." "Yeah it's true..still money ain't everythin''; hell, geeked some killer first time I was in here, got only 50 Nuyen deputy pay for it as a reward..what a rip!" "Believe me Delacroix-san, I know the feeling." "Yeah but I got to meet new people, got some other jobs, ride 'round the place, so it's all good to me."
Four-eyes parked the truck in the diner's lot. A few big rigs loaded with goods and a LoneStar highway patrol car were parked. "Here ya' go..you're in the Cascades now." "So I'll give you a call for our return trip. The other half of the paycheck for the other half of the trip." ".........Wait a minute man..ain't nothing said about having to drive you back." "When I spoke to Billy, I know I told him it was a two way deal. Red should know." "Fuck..gimme a minute here..." He walked to the Americar, and signaled Red to lower the window "Hey man what the fuck? You never said anything about having to drive them back IN Seattle." "Well..yeah I mean..it's only normal you take'em in you gotta take'em back.." "..Yeah Like I got time to be on call waiting for a call to drive up here again...I don't wanna do that damn trip 4 times." "Shit c'mon man..it ain't that fuckin' hard to do, I ain't askin' for the impossible.." "All right all right all right....listen, I'll stick with those guys here, I don't really want them snooping around shit they're ain't meant to know..you call this number and ask for Meg. Tell her Four-Eyes got some biz elsewhere, and he'll be away for a day or two to get gear..yeah that's good, tell'her I'm away getting gear 'Bishop' asked for...and tell'her to wait for me to meet Illiya..she'll understand" "Ok man..and..well, sorry 'bout that shit.." "Yeah forget about it, already done..and speak ONLY to Meg, ok? she's some British lady, human, good looks, she's easy to spot." "Oh wow, you working for a good looking bitch..how fuckin' rare's that.." "Shut up and do it..I'll call you to pick me up at the Rain's bar when we'll be done."
He tapped on the hood and Red spinned around disappearing in the distance. "Great, dumb Trog didn't talked to me 'bout this..so 'guess I'll stick with you guys for the time being...don't feel like doin' the trip 4 times." "Delacroix-san, I feel bad for the misunderstanding, allow us to buy you dinner as at least a partial re-payment." "Meh..sure why not...'hope you got cred for real food."
((I'm away..so can't see Harley and Wrench now..))

Back in the city, Henri smuggles his recently liberated SMG into his apartment in a gym bag. After checking that it is emptied and made safe he stashes it behind a chest of drawers until he can get hold of a few accessories for it. With that done, he heated up a 'kaf and powered up his telecom to check the hockey scores.
Shrinking the sports channel into one corner of the screen, Henri proceeds to complete the necessary forms needed to feed the 10,000 nuyen through his bogus business onto his fake credstick. A few hours later the money is nicely laundered and ready to be blown on his next big purchase.
On his way to a local magic store to make one of his rare legal purchase, Henri indulges his paranoia and runs a surveillance detection route.
Perception:[dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] ROS:[dice=6] Once he's satisfied that he isn't being followed, he enters the store. A brief look around confirms what Henri suspected...he was going to have to place a special order. He approached the counter feeling slightly nervous, as he always did when he was about to make use of his fake credstick. It struck him as strange that he'd never gotten used to that.
The clerk doesn't look up until Henri shoves a list across the counter. "Can you get these?" He asks, not wanting to beat around the bush. After a moment of perusing the list and something on the screen in front of her, the clerk replies "Yeah, but it'll cost you around ten thou' and a three day wait...oh."The clerk gives a nervous chuckle,"And we'd need a twenty percent deposit too." Henri felt uncomfortable with what he was about to suggest, but real people did it and if he was going to continue blending in he'd have to do it too. "For ten thousand and a three day wait, I hope you deliver." He hands over the fake credstick to pay the deposit. The clerk, all fawning politeness at this point answers "Of course sir, if I could just take your address while the payment processes..."
OOC: Thought I'd leave it there for now in case Wolf decides to be evil & have something go pear shaped. e.g. Henri not spotting a tail or the fake ID setting off all kinds of bells & whistles. BTW it's rating 5 for the purposes of any rolls you might or might not wanna make. [rand=413907206737422208377978087430271787681840209582715506144144068146]

I managed to catch Meg on her way out. Wasn't my job to babysit the new guy. With them introduced I was on my way but not before requesting a patch of earth for my lonesome. "I couldn't possibly sleep in a dormitory with a bunch of snoring kids. It's not really needed. I do have a place, this would just keep me onsite more often."
---some time later----
I had a a lot of power. I could learn some spells... I wanted bigger spirits.. I decided a spirit foci would be best. That's a large investment. Meg's willing to help cover cost. I have a idea for a nice pattern. I don't have to worrie too much about it being legal. I'll make a robe so i can fold it up and put it in a box. Unless your looking for it, the odds of it being found are very small.[/i] I meant a large investment for us. We can reduce the power needed by buying telsma from Meg. IE She's chipping in.
I logged into my account on Taz's site and looked for a nice thick cloth hooded robe and ordered it for pick up. I went over my design cleaning it up a little. I drew it on a 3D model the best i could. I couldn't draw for crap and there were lots of thin lines. It looked like a arcane circuit board. Lines of copper and inside small circles were silver arcane symbols. I realized I could be at this all night but I could estimate how much I needed from this unfinished model. I sent Meg a price quote for copper and silver flake, mixed with crystal dust.
I'd have to finish it tomorrow.
