Bishop replied to Four-Eyes subvocally to ensure his next words weren't heard by Harley.
"Ok so far. Confident and cocky - we'll see if the skills are there to back it up or if she's just another crow."

"Meg you got another envelope for this arrival?" Once i collected anything that needed collecting I hopped in my sky blue jack rabbit and headed for the gate. Unlike bishop i didn't have a back seat. Compact cars were just that. Compact. Once at the entrance I hopped out and looked for the new guy.
In response to FE's decree about firearms. <c>"Guns are for mundanes. I have no desire to learn anything about them other then specs and ammo types. The knowledge of firearms interests me but not their use."

Shade had a point, but it was for something else. "Shade, it's only for safety reasons. One day or another, if you ever have to use a gun, at least you will be a little more in confidence than if you're limited to 'point there, pull trigger' knowledge. I won't force you to carry a piece, but I would like for you to at least shoots wiht one an after noon or something, at least to get the hnag of how it works and kicks and such."

Meg tells Harley - and anyone else nearby..
The industrial area is easily accessed by someone who wants to get in but keeps out pesky opportunists and means it is a lot more difficult for someone to operate in the area - scoping the place out is tougher, surveillance is made difficult. Hiding in the crowd or blending in just wont work - there has to be a degree of sophistication.
Thats what any security is for - to make it difficult for your place to get hit. Problem is that it costs. if I had the yen I could set up on an island somewhere but that would have its downside too.
There is nothing of real worth to steal from here - but interrupting the process would make my life difficult - thats why I have a deal with Aztech - if someone wants to stop this place then they will have to think twice.
However one or two snatch squads taking the students for ransome - or organised crime wanting an outlet for shady goods - protection money an that sort of racket is what I think we will be up against.
I expect over the next weeks there will be a number of smaller agencies trying to muscle in on this site to promote their way of thinking on us. There may well be a few heads to knock together until they are thinking straight.. it may even be that we choose one group an invite them into an alliance which keeps the rest off our back.. dunno yet!
I have a brief report of an attack on the site last week - a ram-raid on the gates and a bundle of sammies dived out. The estate cops picked up the bruised unconcious bodies afterwards. Someone somewhere has lost a team - no doubt there will be further less agresssive attempts.
Which is where you guys come in. I would like you to improve the physical security. Magical security is pretty good - no astral bods are going to find it easy to get inside the building But more important I would like the message known that we are not a tasty treat to be gobbled up by anyone.. now that is going to be tough... which is where your knowledge and talents come in.
Noone knows the shady areas an organisations in town better than you all - you are adaptable resourceful and can get to places that corporate strike teams would find difficult.
Make or break by the end of this year - we will have a blueprint for success - or pushing up dasies. So to tip the balance a little - what sort of gear do you think you will need?

Tranquility walked with Bishop, mostly quiet and trying to ignore his scent as they walked. Sometimes it was hard to focus with all the sensory overload but for now, she was managing. She was mostly grateful that the meeting have been in the evening...two fold reasons. Her appearance and her condition which were one in the same but at the same time, wholly different as well.
She shifted her sack that hung along her back, the flap moving to show the quiver and a broken down bow. She definitely was not one of the Amerindian types who had to have an oaken bow blessed under pure water streams or the like, but she didn't seem keen on guns at all. But most hand to hand types could be regarded that way as well.

Dressed in expensive clothes and a jacket, the dwarf was well groomed with a short beard lining his jaw. IDark glasses covered his eyes as walked confidently in after knocking and clearing his throat. He might be rather physically fit but he missed his machines. But he loved the rush, the adrenaline. Ever since he'd been banned, running was the next best thing.
Looking around, he took everyone in. "Apologies for being late. I'm looking for Meg. I was told a rigger was needed for...whatever."
ooc: sorry Wolf; took time to make the char; wasn't sure where this was taking place. Adjust as needed.

Micro laughs inside when Four Eyes gets upset at the news of the elven go go gang. Well I only know a guy in the gang not all of them last I heard they where in the Puyallup area, don't worry if I ever have to deal with them I'll leave you out of it.
When Meg commented on trying to summon a Fire elemental in an apartment being a bad idea, Micro shook his head at how dumb he was at not realizing that first. Ya your right my land lord will be peved big time if I start any fire outside of the fire place. I do have a small hole in the ground in a bad part of town that could be used for the fire elementals but I don't think a big one is a good idea still, but if we need to we could get the fire going outside but some of the locals in the area will be able to see what is happening. Micro pauses to think for a second then continues. We could set up the earth, air and water circles at my apartment, leave space for those rare big elementals. As for the Fire elementals your right we will have to find another spot for them, the only other help I can give is that hole in the ground but all circles there have to be of the none perminate type since how bad the neighbor hood is. Micro mentaly crosses his fingers before he asks his next question. If you could help with 1/4 of the rent I can keep the apartment and set up most of the summoning there, other wise I'll be down grading my living arangements and when I find the place I'll let you know what space is there for summoning. Micro waits to hear Megs response.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Micro hears that Four Eyes needs to speak with Illiya he asks if he can join Four Eyes when he goes to see her. I have a tight budget right now and want to get the most bang for my buck, I know there are things I can do now that I have more magic flowing in my vains I want to talk with Illiya to find out what help they can provide on my quest for getting more out of my power. Also I want to hear what she has to say about this idea that has been clawing at my thoughts of trying to get an ally spirit to help me out. Micro think this to himself as he waits for Four Eyes and him to go see Illiya, Micro will fallow on his bike, but before they leave he give Meg his two cents on ideas for security.
Well Meg what I was think would help for security is right now I can see ground based drone, IF I where you I'd get atleast 1 or 2 flying drones in the air, they should be able to spot more things then ground based drones and teamed with watcher that are ordered to spot magically invisible units your abillity to see any hostals will be greatly increased. Micro thinks of how when Thunder was with the group how having airborne drones helped the team out that they will be able to help here too.
Micro then does a quick run down on things to do. 1st talk to Illiya about how to get more bag for his buck. (spells cheaper) 2nd talk to Shaun and get a spell formula. 3rd learn the spell with Illiya's help. 3rd get working on setting up the summoning circles or look for a cheaper place to live then set up circles
(OOC Welcome aboard Trang, and cyroa. Cyroa I hope I helped out enough with the Messages I sent let me know if you ever need any more info thrown your way, my gear message was a long one, good to see you found a group easyly too.)

The sky blue jack rabbit parks by the gate and a man steps out. He's also well groomed. His fedora , long coat and boots are all black. The boots appear steel toed. He wears blue jeans and white under shirt but the hilt sticking out from under his coat gets your eye. "I'm Shade, nice to meet you." He seems polite enough... almost like he were trained. "I'll be taking you to met Meg but first I'd like to ask you a few questions. An impromptu interview if you will."
-------Back to first person view-----------------
I went with standard questions. Pausing between each one to let the man answer. "What do you think this job will entail?" "What kind of gear are you using?" "What do you want out of this job?" "What skills do you bring to the table?" "-and the all important question. Some reefer to it as selling yourself.... Why should we hire you, specifically?"
((I've been to a lot of job interviews, can you tell? lol!))

He smirked at Micro's comment "Yeah, I know where those losers ahnf out. Bastards are in Tarislar, using other elves and the Ancients's protection. Bunch of losers.."
=======================================
Four-Eyes completed his little tour, and joined back with the others.
Micro seemed intrested in going wihyt him to meet Illiya. "I see no problem wiht that Micro. 'Was on the phone wiht her a few minutes ago; she's waiting for us at the Fortean Times Office; Meg, you wish to meet her as well, maybe get some aggrement singed for joint cooperation or something?"
'Might need a chem lab to analyse that toxin...'Hope Gunther still got his set up and he didn't panwed it for something..
"Then after that, got some stuff to look for, get back, and people to meet"
If no one else wishes to go meet Illiya, he'll leave with Micro (maybe Meg) to meet with that Russian Elf.

The dwarf eyed the newcomer and nodded slightly. “Hello there. Nice to meet you as well. Ah yes, the names. Then call me Wrench.” He raised one eyebrow briefly. “You can ask but that doesn’t mean I’m going to answer. I wasn’t told to speak you after all. And until I do speak to Meg, nothing is certain. No offense meant.”
He shrugged his shoulders slightly and kept his answers brief. “I was told this was some kind of medium duration personnel security. Looking for independents and not a security firm.“
He gave a slight smile. “My gear? Just that, mine. Standing out here is hardly the time or place to whip out the toys and discuss certain things. And unless you’re in the game, it might not mean much beside generalities.”
Chuckling, he gave a short and simple response. “Nuyen.”
Wrench raised an eyebrow. “I’m a professional driver, pilot and gunner. A rigger. When we have more time, and I’m not late for the job, I’ll happily brag and regale you with tales of my exploits while I lie shamefully and possibly add some truth in just for flavor.”
Shaking his head, he grinned. “Well, I figure 5 years worth of championship trophies count for something. Null sheen. I got the skills.”
He raised his hand and held his palm out. “Hold up. Chummer, I’m not really trying to be a drekhead and mess with ya. Maybe later though,” he added with a grin. “But I’m obviously running late. My fixer told me I was expected. If this is a security gig, then I’d like to get some drones in the air asap and start working with the rest of the personnel to do basic setup. I’d love to shoot the breeze and do the get-to-know-you thing, honestly I do, but that can wait until I’ve actually met Meg and gotten started. Which won’t happen until after I’ve been told what’s going on. So if you are some of the already hired personnel, let’s go meet Meg and you can tell me what’s going on, details and theories, on the way.”

"This will do nicely." Bishop said, leading Harley into a small car park on the complex.
“Excuse me!”
A man called out to the two, waving to them and heading over. He appeared middle aged, probably in his early thirties – his short dark hair and the well trimmed beard were beginning to show the first signs of greying. He had a backpack over one shoulder and was wearing a loose-fitting shirt and pale slacks.
Behind him a classically good-looking elven woman gripped his hand tightly with one hand whilst she brushed hair from her face with another.
“I’m sorry to bother you both,” He said, cheerful eyes peering out above the beard. “But would you mind taking a picture of my fiancé and I? It’s our anniversary weekend.”
He held out a pocsec towards Church and Grey, an expectant look on his face. Church threw a wry glance sideways to Grey, who just shrugged.
“Of course,” Church said, turning back to the couple and reaching for the pocsec. “No bother at all.”
His hand closed over nothing, and he looked up with a confused expression to see that there was no happy couple, and it was not Grey standing beside him, but Harley.
With a sniff and a short cough to clear his throat, Bishop reached across his body and slid the Predator heavy pistol from its holster. With a smooth motion he ejected the clip and pulled back the slide, making sure that there was no round in the barrel.
"The boss likes all of the team to have some rudimentary understanding of firearms. I take it you have fired a gun before?"

"Alright, if that's the way you feel but your van stays out here until Meg authorizes it. Which means you'll be riding with me." I pointed to my car. "Hop in." I headed for my car and would take him inside to meet Meg. "-and there's no point in arguing about it. You and your gear have to be issued pass's."
