The bus truck cars pickups and bike will all eventually arrive back in Seattle at the 'Big Top' in the eastern dockland area, loaded down with an awful lot more what looks like crap than you started out with.
F-E and Shade have dates in the near future to link back in with the military in the NAN lands to the north of Seattle
The entourage squeezes into the compound gates and the day finishes off with unloading the gear.
Each person has to be identified to the autobots.. These bots are loaded with gel so ought not to be lethal - however they will shoot on sight at certain times and at unconfirmed persons - do not bring in any unauthorised compatriots - also do not roam outside at prohibited times
something we need to discuss - can we operate alongside strict security bots ? I can override their programming but what if I am not here?
Thera are a number of calls to deal with as well as potential new personnel.
the students settle into the site where they will probably remain for the next six month, the team review the area and the industrial estate...

Seattle..back to the grind. Four-Eyes had 3 things to do now; Get in touch wiht Illiya for the comebacks of the bug incident (and maybe get her pople to set up shop at the Big top), check out his boys watching over Harnie down at the clinic and make some analisys of the venon sample Lucille smuggled for him.
He was a bit impreseed by Meg's set up: autobots loaded with gel..his kind of toys. "Meg, maybe some of us should get the code to program those bots; maybe not everyone, but some of us..let's say one every shift?"

Bishop pressed the call button and watched at the screen of his pocsec:
"Connection acquired... ringing... ringing.... ringing.... call rejected."
He swore under his breath to himself. Since the media fiasco that had featured him as the star, his contacts and go-to guys had in no uncertain terms washed their hands of him.
The last mission had gotten a little hairy, a little resource intensive. If he didn't find a way to lay his hands on supplies soon all his firepower and training would mean nothing - he wouldn't have any ammunition to fire at the enemy. Like all the balding, ageing and impotent businessmen that could be found at the top of any corporate food chain, Bishop would find himself with a weapon that, as much as he might want to, he was unable to fire.
He dialed the only other number, aside from those of the band of runners he'd just been working with, he had stored in his pocsec. A cheerful woman's voice seemed all too pleased to inform him he was fragged. Though she of course put it in slightly politer terms.
"We're sorry, but the number you are calling is no longer in use. Goodbye!"
Bishop uttered another obscenity under his breath, which may or may not have involved sodomy of the female voice operator.
"I'm afraid I don't have any useful contacts to bring to the table." Bishop said, joining in on the discussion of security. "But anyone you do hire, I can train to a standard procedure that will allow them to work as a team - experts and big guns are all well and good, but if they all work in silos and do their own thing they'll be divided and conquered by any assault team who knows what they're doing."

(OOC Wolflet say.. if you want to explore contacts or some R&R or R&D then please do as it will develop your character and add to the game colour. Also demonstrates to others where those interesting items came from... there is consideration of summoning large spirits and of looking into training.
Can you use the train an Shop for gamepoints and how to run/explore stuff - the theory side of things
Any character development ought to be conducted in the current thread - so anyone pumpin iron or researching spirits should post in this current thread as it is what you are doing
the next two months ingame ought to be able to incorporate a couple of big things that you want to do - so you can take some time out to explore some large investment in time and/or yen - a good time to fork out for some cyberware as you can float in that vat.
You have all been on the trail near enough non-stop for months and Seattle ought to be able to ease some of your wants - you have a reasonable idea of some general things other people want too so you may think about collaboration. You may even get a bundle upfront if the investment seems worth it!
There has already been a hit on the site demonstrating the usefulness of the automated security however you know that this can be got around and is there to slow any attack teams down ... what then?
This next series of incidents will take your views on current security into account in order to make the site 'safe' - This will include you testing the present arrangements.
How to protect the individuals checking incoming deliveries deal with overinterested outside agencies

"Meg, I'll go meet Illiya for the thing at the mine, then get in touch with my boys concenrning that Harnie Mage we got; we might get some creds for that story. I'll try to buxzz around for some new blood too."
Four-Eyes move in an empty room, and gets out his cell phone, calling both Illiya at first, then Red, his buddy....he should buy the boys some hookers and beers an extra for the watch out duty they did

Chuck gets comfy with the city life again........ well a new. For running with a go gang you never stay in one place. Now he starts thinking how to make himself into a sec. guard ........ Hmmmm
Chuck give Meg a call. Listen Meg this is Chuck I know I'm suppose to go through the right channels to contact you and all but... Well I picked up a couple items that might me magical in nature, well scooped them off one of the Raider goon spellworms. If it wouldn't be too much trouble I'd like you to check them out to see if they are worth anything. I'd like to get me some of that cyber stuff sos's I'd be a bit better at the site sec thing. Chuck seems uncomfortable in the way he's asking. Man the asking drek sucks , away easier just to take. The gang deal was simpler

I was fully planing to stay on site and even the same shift but I swung by the house to get fresh cloths, re-stock my cooler and i had replace my lawn chair since the old one got washed down stream never to be seen again. I stopped by Taz's and smoothed things out with him. I had to arrange a time with FE that I could be off site but ended up coming back sooner then I thought I would. I even treated team members to a few beers from my cooler when they were off duty. Not that fake crap you get in dives ether. I'm talking good beer. Glass bottles, yup classy stuff. It felt good to be back in the civlised world.... if a city spewing pollution is civil.

There is a lot of activity as you arrive back in the sprawl - you kick back for a day to clean up in a power pool - get some synthi-caf down your neck (yek tastes like dishwater - how did I ever drink the stuff) and order a burger an fries with real flavour.. (oh dear it feels like it's going straight through you.. not like the solid food youve been chewing down for the last six weeks..)
so some things have changed - you all put out a few calls to your freinds neighbours and the guys you owe yen to... then think about what youre going to do with the rest of your cash ... hire out a club for a week and blow the lot? nahh..
Sitting and exchanging ideas the mages seem decided that investment in a few elementals would be a good idea - Chuck browses the cyber catalogues and everyone has a dip into what 'Guns-R-Us' has on offer
Theres also those people to go see and conduct a little biz with - thats what the big city is good for - lots of choices at your fingertips.. now you need to check your spends, assess whether your psyche (and your credstik) can take boosted reflexes - organise a circle or two in a quiet place and exchange various items with shady people
Thats just the physical side of things - there is a lot you guys have picked up recently which you can nail down - some combat skills have beed extensively worked on, a few hints and tips gathered in and all it will take is a little practice to confirm that you are bigger better faster stronger.. or just plain broke..
a few of you have mentioned a bundle of expensive items and have wondered if maybe there is any chance of well a kind of - as it is for the cause well - dammit - any chance of a subsidy on some of the cost?
Well that depends on what can be regarded as company expenses.. in a couple of weeks we will be knee deep in home-made magical supplies - if you discount the cost of a six week protected field trip yes it is virtually free -
I am sure that between you you ought to be able to come up with connections who are willing to supply services, components or materials... at a reduced rate which the college accountants who will be on my back would not believe!
Meg indicates that you ought to pool your current contacts look at your resources - come up with a tight plan and a good argument for expenses.. that word has a certain ring to it.. mmm company freebies.. well she hasnt said no..
You have all been introduced to the point defence security bots prior to entering - big crete-covered dustbins - kinda scary. they take a bioscan (not a biosample) of each of you so they can register that it is you from afar. You are now registered as employees and exempt from getting blasted.
It isnt long before the car drives back in through the open gate with the extra passenger.. The main gates are closed an maglocked
One of the things I need some advice on here - I dont expect this site to be visited much so these bots are fine for recognising us and firing on unauthorised persons - could they be overridden? their purpose is to slow down an attack. Sometime in the near future I want you to get past them.. then we can beef them up... Any ideas?
Hello you must be Harley, for access to the site I must introduce you to the security bot.. Security bot this is a guest.. Harley you now have eight hours acccess where you will be recognised -
Come in and I will show you around - excuse the clutter we've just got back from a field trip.. So tell me - three things you excell at and two things you hate -
(OOC Wolflet say - have a look at your shopping lists - anything street legal is easy to get hold of - standard stuff you may have used up is replaced with no real cost If you already have a few illegals then they can be replenished AP ammo and such mil spec gear is tougher to get hold of (and illegal) and needs you to go through your contacts again big cost things could attract attention so you ought to write that sort of thing up (summoning multiple elementals should cost a packet in the materials needed to attract their attention - and the security to be onhand if it goes wrong - and the place to be safe from interruption = planning + yen)
Over the next few posts get yourselves organised in kitting yourselves out - the timeline does not have to be important here - so you could complete quite a few things - put out feelers for items an services complete training etc (major surgery may take a little more time..)
think of it as 'sorting out all the stuff you have been thinking about' so visit those connections check out prices and discounts - pass info around
and say hello to Harley. There may be other new faces - and a couple of others have prior engagements but may well be back

They stripped out the lodge together, loading the gear up into a rental truck. A few home belongings and a farewell to Glacier - Meg would keep in touch.. Freddy was still nervous about their safety - arriving in the back yard amidst acloud of hiding vapour...
they were able to strip out the logde electronics quite quickly - it was their meaning when assembled that made the difference - Meg wanted to spread the articles and screens around the warehouse - like a gallery display, it was her workshop after all.
load up the waggon then take off into town. There were a few different routes to take in order to shake any tails they might have picked up - through the park to lose any city spirits and to identify any tails, a thorough inspection of the truck - with a mild shock to the nav system to knock out the route memory easy stuff if you knew what could trace you down - a swift burn at speed to lose a physical tail on the 90 then back down to the industrial zone to unload.
The warehouse was coming along a treat - tarps were up keeping the acid rains off the seedlings - and doubling to keep out unwanted visitors by preventing entry without them cutting a hole...
A neat barrier of lines of plants all in high racks - plas shells used for waggon containers were cheap and ideal as fencing. 30 ft long ten wide an high, high impact plas lattice.. great for climbing over and being easily spotted. These container innards surrounded the warehouse, with four racks of seedling beds arranged two on either side of the 'walls' .
the front entrance overlapped meaning visitors had to wind their way in through the nursery - no quick way in. Also meant a whole section would have to be hoist to get any heavy equipment in - but Meg diddnt need anything that couldnt be handballed in anyway.
Bishop looks at the netting suspended from awning roof to the top of the maze of plant racks - there were sunray lighting trees keeping the plants bathed in sunshine and out of the acid rain. From down the road the place had a glow around it..
Nice, solid physical objects to constrict obscure and channell and permanent lighting too. One of the bots moved - they were on slow-walkers not permanent fixtures.. There were a few other things he noticed too

Some snippetts of info from the past about the site..
Benny had noted that there were some fine magic circle holo units available - with an education discount, programmed and programmable for various sizes and type of circle creation.. a perfect circle every time for spell and summoning.. though Meg wondered if it would be needed as her job was to teach alchemy not summon salamanders.. something for the future..? The mages reach the 'big top' and negociate the racks of plants outside - Miro notes that the bug zappers are connected to the netting that separatess the corridors of plants.. some kind of electrified netting to stop intruders climbing over the walls of the heavy goods containers.. forcing them along the corridors instead, that would imply that there should be something waiting at some point. the setup seemed to be designed to channel and slow any intruder, but he couldnt make out where the bottleneck checkpoint or defensive point was.. purely passive defenses...useless without something to guard it.
through the nice-looking security doors, two sets, only one open at a time, a kinda airlock - obvious cams in here then through to the inside of the industrial shed. Big open space a few kilns , offices on one side wall - people seemed small inside here
The thing that caught the eye, well the astral eye for those awakened was the lodge.. it covered wall to wall to ceiling, the complete interior beyond the front office Geeze - 30metres by 60metres by 20metres high that is a big lodge.. and over your 'magic' capability too - so not just there for fun, must be at least force 7..
F-E remembers chatting to Freddy back at the opening evening...
Hi Four-Eyes, Henri good to see you both.. What do you think of Meg's ventutre then..? This is all off her own bat.. she decided that a life in the shadows was too much, she doesnt like blasting people - things an spirits yes, but not people....
She is doing what she does best - see the three professors, they are old school college if Meg can sway them she can influence anyone. They were most impresed by her phenomenal speed in creation of the weapon focus she chose for her alchemical final piece - you may have noticed her wrist snakes Henri, brand new.
Gottall over there has entered into a long term deal with her too - Aztechnology may not be everyone's cup of tea but they supply most of the gear we mages need
There was some wind of yak or triad interest too - You probably came through Chinatown to get here - just because it is on their doorstep they think they own it.. another slice..
I got some defence systems arriving soon - stuff I woldnt like to have to try to pass, so beyond blowing this place sky high - it should be secure - Would have been good to have this all set up on a university site - but then Meg would have lost her independance.. you know she has brought back apprenticeship laws for these guys - with the college footing the bills. Therll be more places like this in the next few years.. So she's got to make a big impression to stay ahead.
Theres just too many people who would like a slice of her - I doubt if it would be to scupper the business - but that could be on the cards, a lot of people may see a dozen new alchemists every year as a threat or an opportunity to make money.. even without the corps trying to muscle in and provide sponsorship protection.. I suppose that's why she went with Aztech, dealing with the devil you know...
The other Brit over there, some trade atachee - the Brits do like the free city of Seattle - I havnt been back to Great Britain since the Lord Protector took up power - I suppose most of the diplomats are Black Ops controllers lookin for a chance to put the Great back into Britain. Seems that everyone you work for has a hidden agenda
Speakin of work how's it going..?

Harley glanced to Bishop on the car ride over, now that she was at the site she starts to remove some of her usual disguise. The shades come off first, showing the obvious cat-like irises as they reflect briefly against the car's window. Then the hood of her longcoat slid down, the elven like tipped ears smoothed back against her short hair. The striping patterns are much more obvious and definitely not tattoo work now.
"...I honestly don't know too much. I was told I'm here for a security run and to act as a consultant of sorts.. I figure, null sweat, it pays and covers my bills. The contract didn't offer much but I wasn't expecting anything big. And if you have to, just call me Tranq or Harley...whatever."
The eyes flicked towards Bishop once more, retracting slightly for a moment before she continued speaking.
"As far as my capabilities....I'm an adept. I'm mostly oriented towards hand to hand. I have some other capabilities into acrobatics. Also....I don't use guns unless I have to..."
Harley remained quiet until after the security bot detail, following Shade and Bishop as she continued.
"Now...its not exactly my area of expertise...but I could spot some holes from the front gate. Simple rent a cop shit. Granted, it would take someone like me to pull what I had in mind but I'm sure a regular mage could get in with certain spells to cloak their presence. A sam' could just vault over the gate with a good set of hydraulics. As for my method...I could have climbed the gate like it was jogging and vaulted onto one of the guard shack roofs and then wait for a delivery...shift position onto the vehicle and just ride in. The patrols are too long in between as well. They also aren't nearly jumpy enough around suspicious individuals...like me."
She gave a slight fanged grin at that as she rolled her neck, a series of vertabrae popping from neck to spine and beyond as she continued talking.
"Unless you're going for the appearance of 'cake walk'. Then its in the bag and I hope you have bigger surprises then a drone bot.....just sayin'."

Well I was thinking, which seems to be happening too much these last few days. Meg wants us to set up a security deal for the big top right. Well here's what I think. We should get light security armor to work on site here with. The gun pods can scan from a distance but.... how's every ones eyes? Also a battle teck system, I think it's called. Ya know them mil guys alway knew where one an other was an all. Get us a good rigger to run the security system from the inside, that way we'd know sooner if some one was trying to hack/break into the place. Also I'd like to have some extra cred freed up F-E for some cyberware. I'm looking to get Bone Lacing-3, Dermal Armor-3, smartlink and boosted reflexes-1. Now all I've got is the pay coming in from this last run. And what ever we can get for these 2 magic doo Hickeys I picked up from a Spellworm in the GRAV I stoled then got trashed. Not if en I'm guessing right with these doo Hickeys and my cred I can get the reflexes and the smartlink. Now the other stuff is so's I can pick up my LMG and walk it to the guys going to break in. I'll be the target with the fire power and my size I'd like to up my chances of living my life.((ooc Sry for the big ass run on paragraph. But it's 4 am and I'm drunkish ))

CHuck mentions need for a rigger - as fate would have it there is another call for a pickup from the main gate..
though cost is a real problem for some of the security gear he mentions - it is that cost thing again.. anyone got any ideas on costs or raising a bundle of cash ? Some of those wanted items will start to rack up the cost..
by the way - summoning elementals over F3 is illegal unless you are a corp then it can only be used onsite.. within your boundaries - same as defensive gear- innocent bystanders hit by riccochets can claim -big time! (gel is useful sometimes!)
anyone stepping forward with a hidden hoard of cash? a few eyes turn towards Meg...

"Not to poke holes in your ideas chuck but I had a friend who got boosted reflexes. What he didn't know was they couldn't ever be removed. Your stuck with them. As for your magical doo-hickys I got a friend who would be interested." I lit a smoke. "I'll take care of the next pick up unless you want to drive again bishop." She was right about the mage with the right spells. I'd been telling them that for months.

"All yours." Bishop replied to Shade before turning to Harley.
"Tranq. I'm going to take you somewhere more discrete so that I can conduct a practical interview. A few members of the team may decide to sit in. Would you like to come with me?"
As they started moving (assuming they did and Tranq had no objections) Bishop opened a channel to the team.
"I'm taking a prospective for a test drive of her skills. Anyone want to sit in?"
