Wrench can lock onto the chip signal from the car - otherwise he would have to pilot the dron himself - problem could be going into tunnells and low spaces - drones usually have an ;air' perameter so dont do a low sneak - usually because it is easy to snag a flydrone in a tight space like a multistory carpark
The drone continues to follow at a respectable distance.. with its limited dogbrain it will lose the car amidst the walkways zooms and pedovers - Wrench will check in every two minutes and guide the drone when it buzzes in drone#ceta loss of direction request further information waiting request... it takes that short changeover to relog int the drone then..
Bastard! the fraggers have gone one of three ways.. the Suvs will go through three tight changes along this lines - You really want to follow your hunch at each option Wrench?
up to you..
post your reasons why - if you wish to continue the trail..
'course you may well have orders to follow in 'command chair' mode .. in that case .. you can pre-empt their moves..
(OOC bonus goodies for good writeups too!)

two cars , a truck followed by three bikes (which Micro can ID from astral.. blimey! from the shape and spce it takes along with the corner handling.. ) take the street in front of the diner
Theres not much here - a low area - so not a lot of traffic ... erm which means a vehicle once a turn -every three seconds.. it is a junction after all.

fortythree faggin minutes
whhoooop the fuckers are out!.. well that is what the laywer/middleman indicates..
It takes the Star over an hour to release the three. any one been in pokey? this is reasonably fast..
The contract for release is conducted thank you.. we now have the members in liberty. I am now authorised to provide you with the remainder of the contract. it is carried by our other vehicle - will you admit it - or do you wish a different location for the final payment?

You have all covered items for a security meet - you can each take either a 'security kn' or a form of physical securityn (active).
it means you have practiced and covered a meet under gametime - you are now practiced security personell
two fraggin weeks of preparation and nothin untoward happened? no - it all went acording to plan
each of you were ther to cover different aspects: Wrench was able to follow* the reinforcements Chuck slammed the door in Bishop covered the transport mages investigated blitzed back and reported F-E accepted the deal
everyone grabs 2 karma for this.. seems like it is just run of the mill meet - sorry folks so far most encounters have been very un - Seattle allolcation to a security/kn role please
now that you know you are going to be based in Seattle for the next few months - you will no doubt want to meet and get others to meet yourselves in order to sort out your own plans for the future...

F-E checks the credstix all are fine - though he feels churlish in checking them all - safe rather than sorry...
the wait between the cash the fonecall then the release has the laywer moving hardly at all. F-E opens up small talk - the guy is here for cred only and ignores with a smile or two
the guy nods - mid nothing between the two of you -
there will be another trans arriving within the next ten minutes. my connection would like to speak to you if this is acceptable. please acknowledge your acceptance to this as I am requested to remain
(OOC you guys all know what you are doing - you have visualised a place - If you want the opposition to turn up in an open carpark or contact a terminal in a ship or on a rollercoaster - fine! most of the time you will require what you want from the area and how you would escape if it all goes titsup. You are now describing how others would approach you - if there were problems!
Another bigger vehicle slides slowly down the slipway - an old 2040 Range Rover - Micro whistles 'nice wheels!'
looks like the second payment is coming in
the small suit says to F-E I have been informed that the next part of the arrangement is arriving. Thank you for your time. I shall take my leave.
he rises and begins to exit - if you wish to hold him prior to the next arrival you can - by a negociation though F-E does have th patter.....

the square people carrier drives slowly down the sliproad then parks behind - to the left of the SUV - the front door opens revealing the driver to the mages and a further three in the rear.
the weasily laywer collects his meagre gear and exits.. climbing into the car .. seems to you that they have part paid - the goods have been released - and only now you are about to recieve your full payment...
We have an understanding that I have delivered the contratual part of our arrangement. Another will be continuing negociations
The laywer listens to his earpiece - stands then after collecting his meagre possessions and the goon he leaves as the Eastern gent arrives in the range rover.
one man gets out crosses the road - the laywer quickly bows to him
Hello you can call me JB I have the remainder of the transaction he flips the small briefcase onto the table and oputs his hand on top of it...
We have mislaid much through this transaction - trust - efficiency and results. I need to make amends
I have the conclusion of cred for the arrangement.
You have fulfilled your side of this arrangement and I apologise for the inconvinience caused
He slides the case across to you then looks you in the eyes
My cousin - she has the influence of magics - has been unnaproachable for over a month - we attempted to requisition materials from Commute as it had been recently created - something magical that I could exchange

Keeping mostly over the cars on the street below meant there were a lot of people. If someone was gonna do a drive by I wouldn't know since I couldn't see their auras. I could see the people on the sidewalk going about their days. Most were unhappy or pissed. As I floated up and down the block I kept waiting for someone to pop out of a alleyway. Some had fresh sig's others not so much. I made a quick check of each one when i started. I was really keeping a eye out for aggression. Auras mixed like soup on the sidewalk and alleys were basically trails in the wildness by comparison. Most people were typically aggressive when their in bad moods but I also knew to look for that special hint of intent.
I knew where commute was and I knew several land marks to look for if I had to run.

(spot on Shade! with the description of what you can see from astral.. bugger all, or a soup...)
Shade Micro an Henri have a good idea of where they are in this known area as all have had time to check the immediate area out
(OOC if you wanted a real in-depth astral view you ought to be pretty close - the further away the less you will get...so an onsite astral viewing will reveal most. astras projections will be fine in their immediate area but not much else further away... foggy astral garbage....
keping a check on the meat body clock.. quite a few mages have an appropriate timer close by to give them an idea of how long they have been in the astral

Four-Eyes began checking up on the second patch of the payment, getting his detect magic up. "I see, so it was more a...'family reason' than a corporate raid. And Your cousin as you say, is she being help..hostage, or perhaps stuck in Astral form?"
"While we did start a little on the wrong foot, there is no reason as to why we should not have good relations. One hand washes the others and so on.."

JB continues while F-E checks the stix
Would your organisation be open to selling preparations of magic? I have little understanding of it and to be frank have little time for those who proffess to follow an invisible path. For all of the time spent in her studies my cousin has little to show - apart from running herself into the ground. I am used to following a more observable way - immediate and tangible results. Provision of goods and services for a fee. Business.. of a sort. You understand?
The only reason we are met here is that you did not remove my boys permanantly. We are now on an even footing, I have attempted to involve myself in your business undertakings and you have politely refused. My venture has cost me - but I cannot profit in every venture.

((Wrench will be jumped into the drone for the most part. Better able to follow them. If they go through no fly zones like of a corp or something, I'll attempt to keep them on visual and reacquire by circle. Not going to risk loosing the drone by going in. But the drone travels far faster than a car can in the city so shouldn't be too bad. Combined with Sensor 5 and some of the sensor enhancing software, I should hopefully at least see where they stop from a long/high way off. So yeah, he'll stick with it. Long shot but is long risk, low observation but potentially a high return.))
He'll occasionally hop back into "captain's chair" mode, during straight a-ways and such, to check on the other drones' patrol and to scan through looking for frequencies.. If they spot something, or I get a comm message, then that takes priority.))

"Well Mr. JB, do understand magic cannot be replaced by trinkets and whatnot. It is like giving an assault cannon to someone who never used one before; they will fire that first shot without a hitch, but the recoil will send them flying, break a few bones and so on. Magic on the other hand is much more lethal; if you use something more powerful than you can handle, you can and might get killed, or fall into a coma in which you may never return. Overcasting is something many young Mages falls victim to. While some might survive, pushing your limits too many times will actually make you less magically inclined, burned out literally.
While I am not authorized to sell or conduct such business, I can inform those responsible for this. Perhaps I can get your coordinates, keep you informed about this situation. Meeting your cousin could be also something to do, if only to get the facts from someone who dabbles into Magic."

F-E finishes the count - all there.. you are now carrying 200,000 in loose credsix
Appreciated. I would like to conduct more business - If you can connect with your own who do have responsibility then we can arrange something as soon as possible. I am anxious for her. Very anxious.
Here - my card. I expect your call.
He puts a square of plas on top of the case then stands and walks out to the range rover.
Wrench is able to follow the cars into chinatown - mostly ten to fifteen story tennament blox - there was a lot of inter-connection leading to much of the area being roofed over with multiple wide pedways crossing between buildings. The work ethic thrives here with one-man stalls being the mainstay - you can buy nearly everything here for a price - pseudosnakes are currently all the rage
Once the vehicles slide into one of the underground carparks you know you have lost them.. Wrench thinks about following close - and shoots a message to F-E.

"Negative Wrench. Let's not push our luck. Deal's concluded, let's head on home."
Four-Eyes puts the 'stick in his briefcase, and tells Tranq and Henry to go wait in the car outside. After they leave he goes up to meet Bart, 'disguised' as the cook "Deal went down good Bart, thanks to your boys for keeping snoopers outta of our hair."
"no problem breeder. Good doin' biz with 'ya. Just the question of of the rest of our pay."
He grinned, and took out a small pile of script "Here you go, the other half, 6 grand. thanks Again for your help in this."
Bart laughed fatly "Hey thank you for the paper man. always good to see some people don't forget their their homeboys."
"Hey man, gonna help the brothers. Just 'cause I'm doing things elsewhere doesn't mean I forgot about you guys. Might even do the round about tonight with Freak, maybe we'll see each other""
"Cool 'Four. Check you up tonight then."
"All right keep it slick Bart."
He exited the diner, going for his Americar. no gunshots, no trouble, all good.
Now he had to speak to Meg about Mr. Bean's cousin.
