I rolled my eyes. They hadn't found my car yet but if they were gonna sweep the place they could find it. Could find it. It wasn't 100% but i could easily play it off. "I came here in my car by our fearless leaders request." "Oh, and where is this car of yours?" I snapped my fingers, dropped the spell and my car appeared not too far from one of the goons. Gave'em a good scare. Heh heh Of course now my cover was blown. Now they knew I was a mage so I needed to make my stance clear. "I'll keep cooperating as long as you don't decide your going to mage mask me."

Four-Eyes looked at the soldiers doing their thing; interesting but boring as hell, whatwiht being asked (well, ordered) to stand still and make no sudden moves, until a fatigue wearing soldier came; he wasn't in armour nor had one of those fancy laser gun.
Then Shade acted like an idiot, thinking he was in a position to negotiate.
After the shuffle got done, he spoke "We were on th'bank, watchin' the full moon when we spotted GRAVs up river; we went into the woods, thinking it was some Navy exercise; didn't want to get in the way or somethin', then those guys drove around, stopped at the controls for a few, then left for the Naval base. Then we heard gunshots, missiles and the like goin' off.
I went for the dam control to check on Officers Milie and Giles here, and saw they were riot foamed with explosives set up; I disarmed the explosives, freed the cops, they informed us about the blackout caused by the over powered turbines; when they closed the water flow, the GRAVs and the troopers came back to get the comm blackout workin' again, but the flyboys got to the GRAVs first; and well, I had to improvised with what I had to hold them off until back up arrived. Then you came in th'choppers."

Bishop surged forward, his pistol raised.
"Henri." He subvocalized. "Kill the noise."
He stopped just inside kill distance - close enough to have a low chance of missing but far enough away to be able to squeeze off several rounds before the trooper closed the gap.
"Stop what you're doing and drop your weapon. Then put your hands up where I can see them."
One Mississippi
That was the time it would take for a 100% compliant subject to do as they're told. If the trooper did anything but drop his weapon, Bishop was ready (and willing) to empty the remainder of his clip into the bastard. If he hesitated and failed to comply within the time limit, likewise.

There wont be much room to conceal the car off the road as the trail is pretty hemmed in on either side- the advantage you have is they are starting their securing action and there is a big grav fire further down the road - but they certainly would have found it. So now there is a car parked off the road which was not immediately spotted -
why would we mask you unless.. ... ....
the officer pics up the communication - and, after listening to F-E's brief story and the swift report that there is a mage present - Shade gets the impression that another trooper is keeping another watchful pair of beadies trained on you...
the officer speaks
There are more of you? can you give me your numbers and current location as our aircraft may take them for unfreiendlies. We are currently locking onto their individual communicators and should be releasing AP at such targets. It would be a pity to spoil our current climate of cooperation in friendly fire incidents.
I notice you have communicators - these have not been picked up by our sensors are you transmitting - may I..?
Another trooper holds up a scanner close - which bleeps - he nods.
Back in the swamp the guy attempts to avoid being hit and makes a break for the smoke - hoping the dark and reeds and his prayers along with his vest will help him out of this all-turned-to-drekk farce... he makes a bolt for it...

(I know what they are Shade, just that the way you said it, it was like you had some upper hand on negociating for such a thing...The numbers are against us.))
Four-Eyes smirked; he wanted to kepp Meg and the others out of the loop..but the officer got a point: the Army are not LoneStar; they can and will, fire and then questioned whoever survived.
He informed them about Meg and the students (stressing out that they are unarmed, and took no part in the battle..), the rest of the team hired as security details (But no use for names at that point). but he admitted he did lost position of The Euro Squad, so there was still 2 of his people out there.
The soldier then waved some scanner near Four-Eyes' commlink. "Yes my line is open to my people, but they're keeping quiet for the time being like said."

We were told that there was magical activity out here too - major disturbances I am reliably informed - as you are a mage - and on the spot - can you fill us in with any details.. that would be most helpful.
there is no requirement for confinement - we have to be sure that everyone in the area is accounted for whether hostiles or noncommbs
Can you pinpoint where your compatriots ought to be - there is an excellent view of the surrounding area from here.. the starlight on these binox ought to provide enough to go by -
there are four main markers out there on this side of the flooded river - the campsite, the hotflare in the reedbeds, the remains of the hotflare on the road and the disabled grav. Understandably it is difficult to track individuals but they ought to know where they are - if you are still able to communicate with them..Most polite - very helpful too.. you get worried as this usually leads to someone dropping dead closeby.. your suspicions go unfounded while the officer jacks into the binox as you point out potential trouble spots... Henri ought to be able to fill you in along with Micro who has been keeping an astral eye on the general area. once you have noted where people ought to be - the chopper launches a light missile which heads off towards the shoreline - exploding some ten metres in the air - three assault troopers head out towards the area shortly afterwards. The officer seems to be in touch with things going on around him - some comms relay or something.. Meanwhile out in the swamp... Bishop - as you have the jump on him, he does not get his pool to dodge - a nasty wound will no doubt make him see the error of his ways and get him to surrender like you asked.. otherwise he will be hot-footing it out into the embracing hotsmoke darkness and off to plot his rewengie. (and earn you and Henri a 'Hunted' )

"Yes.." He was suspicious, but at this point, no need to hide things "We are camped at the campsite; the gear and vehicles there are ours...as for where they are, I'll have to confirm this...May I?"
"Of course, please go ahead" The officer was not really threatening, but some soldiers had their eyes on him. Slowly, but still a bit quick, thanks to his quicken spell, he got everyone (minus the students) on the horn
"Ok guys, 'need your position now..make it precise; Army's scanning the place for live signs, 'suppose no one wants to get shot, and they don't want some friendly fire accident. So go ahead, I'll relay the position"
He relays the information to the officer " 'Mind if I light a smoke and get a slam patch on? My legs are started to shake a little."

No sooner had Bishop called out his warning than the trooper made a break for it. Bishop didn't hesitate in sending two rounds into the trooper's back.
Dice pool: Skill (5) + combat pool (5) TN: 4 + 2 (target running) + 4 (lighting) -2 (smartlink) = 8? Shot 1: [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Shot 2 - +1TN for recoil, combat pool (2): [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] RO6 [dice=6]
Man... those are some more pretty bad dice. What did I ever do to this dicebot?[rand=22004282339140613625351702284890986806200159242516149108608152505]

I rubbed my temples and raised my low light to rub my eyes. I gave the man more info then he probably thought he was going to get. I gave him the whole sha-bang. Numbers of enemies i counted, number of mages, spells encountered, Spirits type and force, areas encountered, tactics both sides used and my entry. I had to stop a few times to let the poor guy catch up. He scribbled with furry while looked over to FE and the guy in charge. "I can send watchers to find them." I felt dead on my feet. I was on the verge of passing out. Crashing from the stims was doing extra damage. I just wanted to goto sleep. I could tell from experance this was going to take most of the night. I doubted I was going to get any sleep before the start of my shift. I stretched. Joints popped and cracked at every turn.
((brad - a wounded animal is even more dangerous. Same as a cornered one. Right now Shade is both.))

This is Chuck and I'm heading back to the camp area. If en the mil guys are going to be shooting my way tell em I'm the only troll in the area. I didn't see any of the raiders as big as me. Oh and tell them they blew up my new GRAV. All the work I did in stealing that puppy. For Frags Sakes ! Chuck keeps heading to wards camp. And another thing I drooped a raider Mage back there behind me a bit ago. His dead wait just got to be too much for this terrain.

the officer listens to F-E and to SHade - no doubt relaying information to a further hub so they can get things done..
Shade's information is taken in but by the bleak look on the officer's face he has little understanding of magery - Shade has blinded him with science - the report may well surface a long way in the future
He seems content that there is little mage activity as it sounds like the opposition spellcasters have been neutralised 'take out the mage' seems to settle well with him as he nods at the points where the mention of 'wounded' 'ripped apart' and 'unconcious' are mentioned
He keeps an eye on the hotflare area where there is report of a hostile and friendlies
(I will check Bishop's diceroller as I dont get results here in work!)
