(ooc: how many are there? and do i see on a quick gloance[free acdtion type] any quick escape route that we can run to to keep peoplke away from our backsides? and preferably get us to a safe area.....?)
Don't get confused Dude. He described three on bikes and one on the over pass, probably with a ride and backup.
Shoot the three that were neck and neck with you and had to have whizzed by.... Pick tail end Charlie and cack the bastiage. I would.

I looked at the situation as well Krondax. You guys are having an very interesting run. Here's what I get from it:
It's night probably close to midnight by now. You're on a freeway, I-5 heading South, probably well past the airport considering you picked Pelch up from there. That places you, by my estimate, down past the Mariners (Sea Dog) ball club, Qwest Field and the Exhibition Center probably near where I-5 connects to I-90 going East. That is probably the overpass referred to.
Wide open space there but it is DARK except for the Interstate lights. Not much place to hide on the road but plenty of Shadows once you get off the concrete and into some bushes and ditches!
Not as much traffic at night as there is in the day but still enough and probably moving pretty fast. Now you get an explosion and a big mess on the road so the cars behind you are probably going nuts! No wonder Pelch ducked! I'd hate to be rear ended in a trunk standing up.
As Krass said you got the three go gangers on the bikes. If there were more there you probably would have seen them, since no more are mentioned that is probably it. Could be ones hiding in the ditches and shadows but I doubt it. They would have already opened fire.
The bike riders would have whipped by you like Krass said. With the doors open, you and Quicksilver have some cover and good shots at their backs. No cover from the Panther perhaps but the door will help stop bullets. That is probably why Pelch is last. He is IN the trunk and they raced on by him. His position is awkward for return fire, he has to move to get a good shot, better off he doesn't.
So let Pelch guard your rear and sides That is his best move to cover you and Quicksilver. Sometimes you just have to TRUST that your chummers will do the job right. From what we see of the situation Pelch made the right move.
You and Quicksilver have to take down as much of the immediate threat as possible and concentrate on inflicting maximum damage in the first round! That's the bikers! Mao and Wheels have a collision shield problem. They will be delayed but may get loose in time to get out of the car and take down the third biker. Krass is right, but too bad your mage ain't joined yet. If I was there I'd be going after the Panther Dude. He can't hide from a good combat mage Panther or not!
That's my estimate, but I would trust Eon if she was in Widows spot to handle bikers. If I was in Mao's place, I would go with the magic not the gun. I think you can take them guys but I don't know just how good a mage he is, we haven't seen much action from him. Freddy is definitely going to have to give "THE KID" some training.
Don't hesitate or question, Burn them now.
Hope that helps.

Yep, Thanks Retro's. You guys are the greatest. I wouldn't be doing half as well without a lot of jolting from the Fatman. He may not be saying much here, but he is telling me a lot elsewhere. I know Johnson is pretty happy with you too. You want to offer comment, criticism or advise, you go right ahead.
Been dealing with a lot of E-mail tonight. The story line is looking great and that Boombaby is right in the groove. He makes my job a lot easier. Say Hi to FatGuy for me.

That was fun. Refreshing. Widow got some frustration off and got a new toy. If you relate it to a BOB. well, i already did, so i cant say jack about that any more.
all those years when i did that free form, the fighting style prevented you from doing actions of your opponents. so getting to do one like that was new, and fun. if you want graphic, i cna have fun with that. trust me. just y;all better have strong stomachs. because y'all are gonna need em. i jusrt hope pelch sees that last 2 posts i made.

(OOC": Note" Shiner bock only comes in bottles)
Not anymore DUDE! When you guys going to learn not to sweat the small stuff? You came through a nice combat phase and it didn't take you a month to do it. Want back at the dwarf? Just smack the little sucker on the head and use him for a flag on the antenna. You guys make out like a fat bunch of rats and you still worry about a small detail even after the guy has made it clear this is NOT a Seattle from the books. If he wants the beer in a can in his game, leave it alone, argue the stuff you need to argue. That's my view.

You know Krondax, Krass is a butt head but in this case he could have a point. If the detail doesn't affect the game or outcome why even bother. Sort of like Wheels car about the two door or four door. Maybe in Pelch's game they made a four door car in that model. They might do that beer in cans in his game as Krass points out. Lot's of strange things happen in the SR world. Remember you play in the GM's world, he isn't playing in yours. Krass is right, don't sweat what don't make a difference. The nice thing about the car is it MIGHT be an error or it might have given you that EXTRA cover when you needed it. Don't yell when the GM gives you a gift just take it and run like the wind.
Nicely done outcome though and some good descriptive work. Rolls looked pretty good without getting to far into the dirt. How many combats you know go this smooth? Even the people that didn't officially make it to the game during the combat were covered. I saw some good teamwork.
Remember TEAMWORK is talking to each other in OOC it always helps for everyone to know where you're going and what the goal is. Nice finish up and gives the players a heads up on what they should be looking at Krondax. That is part of the leaders job and your moving in the right direction. You guys are starting to REALLY put a team together. USE the OOC it helps.

thanks guys. as for the car. yes i know, little details. lol, but that was my botch. i tholught it was a 4 door car luckily pelch let me run with it. i kinda had a feeling that i woudl be put into the area of leadership a while ago. about 2 or 3 montsh ago, not long after this started, Davik asked me to be his second in command, so i knew that i woudl have to lead from time to time, just didnt think that i woud lbecomee leader. so far so good and yes, tips are always greatly appreacieated

No sweat. It took us a while to get used to the Fatman's style and Pelch's seems to be similiar. We had to learn the same things he is teaching you now. That's why we are interested in your game. You guys need to learn the lesson that if you have a good GM trust him! If you're a good player he sure don't want to kill you out of his game, but will if you act REALLY dumb. The only time's I have actually been killed out is by my OWN team mates. Some friends huh? Only the ego maniacs don't want you to beat their game. Fatman explained it to us this way and maybe it will help.
It's natural for people to not want to lose. The same goes for GM's. Some GM's think they have to make it super hard to 'give the players a challenge'. They withold information sometimes or they make the challenge super tough.
The trick for any GM is to keep the levels NORMAL for the type of opponents the characters are facing. If you're facing street gangers they are going to be armed and act like street gangers. If they're corp they are going to act like corp. If they are Merc's you better watch your hoop and if they are corporate troops you better really think twice about going head to head. When you are the GM the best method is use an imaginary character in your head, if you wouldn't want to face the situation the players are in yourself then don't present it!"

not often I put my twoppenceworth in - it looks like things are calming down - characters are not getting so wound up , a little understanding begins to filter through.. yes it is harsh and gritty but you do have to work wit those around you.. and things are changing... upping a gear
One reason I posted 'Game Mechanics - How it Spozed to be..' was to have a standard to work to, reasons for why stuff was there, and what it did..
I tend to have gangers with three dice for ordinary skills corps with four, and specials with five, makes my life easier when they need to do things.. gives me a norm to work from. Though punks tend to get blown away real quick, and I feel like they lost out badly - well they do and they did! get over it! They are mere colour, no real threat ---because if they were any good they would be top-dog connected enforcers.
So the challenge for me when I'm running stuff is to be able to award ticks (karma) for good play, and you dont have to be a super sam to collect for interesting play. I dont like killing off characters - but I'm not going to stop it!

Took a look at the storyline tonight.
Wheels, I got to agree with Widow and Quick for several reasons.
I suspect you're looking at the trees and not the forest. First most of the group has been on the go with no rest and no showers fro some time. It's soon going to affect your die rolls with negs. You need to get some rest and it needs to be now.
Second, the story line says that Lord Torgo may play on I-5 but not in the downtown area! This is the SECOND gang incident in the last three days. Krass the Mayor won't like it and the Star won't like it. I see Torgo getting a big fat lesson. Eon won't be playing nice on that one. He ain't going to have much time for you.
Third, IF Tony did hire the Wheels, he must have told them it would be easy money. They only sent four assets! That means he is going to be pissed at Tony for losing them. He'll probably recover from that slotter just like you recover from your Johnson. Makes sense right? Sure the Wheels won't love you, but they are most likely going to write it off to attrition in the gang as usual until they learn a lot more. Even a gang leader has to be careful of using people up.
You don't want to interrogate, turn the fragger into the Star for a reward and let them interrogate him. You can probably get on the Star's good side for a change. Take the rig to your warehouse or a chop shop if you don't want it and trade it and the bike for something you do want. This way you get paid back for the car and the 500 you spent for the safe-house, and you get a ride. I'm betting Pelch knows every chop shop in the city! Wheels would probably know a few too.
Now how did Tony get alerted to your presence enough to send the Wheels after you and how did he know you were on I-5? I'd be wondering about that a lot, but not before I got the team some downtime. You certainly don't want to lead them back to Dom right now either do you? I wouldn't. Finally, you need to make contact with JJ and then you get your mage. That might help.
Good Luck.
