"It's not a problem - that's Henri's field. When he's not busy making a ball's end of my ambushes, that is. Just stand there looking pretty and start throwing those precious little fists of yours around should any trouble start." Henri enters the room holding a branch that looks as though a significant amount of the leaves and bark have been removed by a surgeon. "That was as much your fault as it was mine Bishop. But we both know where we screwed up and we've learned from it, non? Now, are you gonna move on, or are you gonna do what you Brits do best an' complain about it for the next six months?"Henri turns his attention to F-E. "Do you want me on this trip or not? If not I'm gonna start background checks on the staff here."

It dont take long by car or cab to get to Jimmy's the address is easy but finding the place is tougher - a lot of the western trappings have been remopved and replaced with Chinese.. there are plenty of building violations too and the original flat fronted cityblox have been chopped added to and are decidedlydifficult to negociate your way around.. the overhead pedways are lit with a variety of lighting all probably running off the origional streetlamps.. this too adds to the problem with getting a locate on the address. Good thing though is the lack of acid drizzle because of the overhead pedways - even so the guttering and downpipes vomit pools of rainwater which have bleached large patches of the crete roadway and pooled in slick slimy puddles where you recon things would love to lurk..
Its a little like being in a neon nightclub..
Lots of pedestrians and small stalls all over the place..
Yes Yes Jimmy Bean - Good guy over there.. stupid gaijin.. you eventually ring him and he politely agrees to send someone to greet you.. five minutes later and a few twists and turns gets you to the front doors with frosted glass bearing
Universal Chinese Exports
swish stuff the original stonework rather than crete surround the double door entrance on either side grubby plas booths sell flowers and the other announces tropical fish.. your rescuer buzzes the intercom to the side and looks into the obvious cam set high up - it scans you all an the door clicks open.
Your security awareness notes heavy plas doorframe with deadlocks to lock and secure the doors. Pretty good not top notch but they would stop anything less than a concerted attempt to open them when bolted. A marble-lined foyer with a half-a-dozen doors off and a set of four lift doors in front.. could have been a plush office building years ago ..
Your guide dips his head to you Heavy armaments in here if you please an he swings a door open. there are stacks of boxes and electronics parts on racks around the small room.. plenty of space to park objects which may cause embarassment..

"Well..come if you want Henry..kinda want it to be a 3 man team..besides, we need those check ups done anyways.."
---------------------------------------------------
Four-Eyes puts on his alarm system before going inside...Damn chinese think they run this aprt of town..some well palced..'care packages' would clam johnny Ho...but he wasn't there for that.
He had still his suit on, his folding knife in one pocket, his Speed-6 under his right arm and his Taurus in the small of his back alongside some extra ammo. Less than his combat load, but enough to trow lead around. He simply grins at the 'guide' "I have no heavy armament sir."
He hoped they didn't frisk him; his decoy'nade might bring some trouble..maybe...

I just shook my head at FE's comment. I corrected him. "Your thinking aspect, not adept". In a tone that conveyed some sort of disbelieve.

Wrench simply shrugged at the various discussions. He didn't really know squat about this stuff. He was a wheelman really. Everything else was gravy.
He climbed into his armored van and headed over. After that, he'd keep tabs via drones and comms unless someone needed him there in the meat that is.

"Only six months?" Bishop replied to Henri with a quirk of his brow. "You should be so lucky. Better make it a few decades, old boy..."
Bishop tags along in the threesome with Tranq and Four-Eyes, though he seems non-too happy about Four-Eyes being the resident mage-eye.
"Heavy armaments?" He replied to the guide, spreading his arms and looking down at his body. "Where exactly in this suit do you think I've hidden my machine gun?"
For the record, Bishop has his Predator and Walther on him, both in concealable holsters at his shoulder and ankle respectively. He also has his combat knife clipped to the back of his belt underneath his suit jacket
i think it's that line that's caused the confusion - was it not speech?

Just setting out some ground rules gents.. We have made many meets before and we know it just gets people's backs up when anyone asks for all weapons.. so anything big and obvious goes on the shelves - most sammies have a few things tucked away and people feel safer with their favourite sidearm. come this way Mr Jimmy is expecting you..
You enter the lift (elevator) surveillance cam in here too - as expected - there must be some security room keeping tabs on the building interior - you couldnt see much of the origional exterior.
Ping! it stops opens and lets you out onto floor 6 again a marbelled corridor - a few doors along each side - one fire escape - and a set of double glass ones at the end. Inside you can see three guys playing cards who stand up an adjust ties and suit jackets - corp lookalikes
Once inside Jimmy greets you Welcome to Universal Exports - it is good to extend hands across the economic divide to welcome guests. Come in.. tea?
after a short introduction and pleasantries he gets to the point.
My cousin.. my expertise lies in business and I fear that she is suffering because of magics. She wanted powders to help her in her work - we have purchaced much from charlatons which she has rejected - but her interest in magic led her to your establishment - a new venture in Seattle which she learnt of in her research - She has been able to help us in the past with avoiding dangerous liasons and taking beneficial contracts - she had the 'sight' however recently she has suffered terrible bouts of fever and illness. I have brought in doctors who diagnose fatigue.. she dismisses them and continues to attempt to work even though all around her can see her health failing.
- If you can help her where others have failed then I would be grateful. I can introduce you to her - she lives on the eighth floor - an auspicious number. Though be warned she is abrupt in her manner. When would you be available - and do you have further questions?
Very open he seems.. and in need of a 'back scratch' which could lead to more...

Harley follows them through Chinatown, having draped herself once more in her usual street clothes...though the tail swishes back and forth and anyone with eyes could see it.
Harley is perhaps the only one there who's able to speak a lick of Chinese, specifically Neo-Mandarin but she doesn't tell them that. She glances at the man who calls them 'gaijin', figuring him to be Japanese, though her teammates might not realize that difference. Gweilo was the more colorful word associated to 'foreigners' or specficially 'white people'. And here she had thought skin tone differences had gone out with the 21st century. You learn something new everyday.
When the man even looks to her to remove her gear, she visibly bares her teeth...she had no fangs, but it was an almost animalistic gesture that indicated she wouldn't be removing anything off her person. Though there didn't seem to be anything clunky on that could be called heavy armaments.
Once inside, she takes up wall space, as she lets Bishop and F-E handle the negotiations. Tact, was not her area.

Four-Eyes refuses the tea, but do ask permission to smoke. He does not leave his butts there, placing them in his pocket ashtray. Might as well make it a bit harder to leave DNA lying around. He used his detect magic spell, looking around, like he's observing the decor, but he's actually trying to spot what kind of magical activity happens in Universal Exports.
He chit chats with Jimmy, listening to his concerns about his cousin. "I am available to meet her right now if she is ok with that." He glanced Over Bishop and Tranq.

NOT A FRIGGIN CHANCE
I WILL NOT be watched monitored or be at your beck and call so yo an your underling mercenaries can watch or study me...
she coughs a couple of times after her outburst .. hek* ceh*
then sprawls into a large chair - staring into space
My cousin suffers as you can see. w e have used a medi-diag providing us with a diagnosis of fatigue however few physical symptoms... one Doctor concurred as if she has lost th will to live - though any questioning has left a further gulf between us. She has a gift of reading but will not use the I-ching for her own readings..At the last she said The Abyss... I fear for her - she is weak and becomes weaker every day
what will you do right now for her?

She was aggressive, which was understandable: himself would not be pleased if some random people just dropped in and started asking questions. Did Jimmy actually told her they were form the commute?
"First Mr. Bean, did you informed her we were not some of your hired men but representatives of the Commute Corporation? By her..attitude, it would be safe to assume that you haven't."
The woman shifted her eyes at the mention of the Commute. Her curiosity was spiked. He kept an eye on the magic. "Second we need to know the reason of her condition. My employer is willing and more than eager to help a fellow Mage, but without being able to corner off the problem, we cannot move forward. It could be just a bad pass in her life, maybe she got some disease, or cast a spell or did a ritual that burned her capabilities...but at this point, it's more something she have to decide rather than being forced on her. Thought if she decides to get help, we will have to deal with her and her alone form that point on."
