There is a lot of movement around different parts of this fragmented field sneaking driving and carrying etc..
Chuck - you could happily cart one guy off - two if you went real slow.. think of the impression you would make ..... out in the darkness the figure of a large troll lopeing past you on the dusty road holding two bodies by the back of their necks pulling them along behind him away from the recent skirmish.. Bear in mind you are still a little shaken up - you do have regard for their lives and would haul them out of cooking distance - but carrying them off into the dark... gotta be a good reason.. or a nasty one!
Bishop and Henri are engaged - but on the road nearby are quite a few bodies too
and up outside the control room as well
I do wonder what you are going to do with them all..
Chuck has been conciencious pulling troopers away from the burning grav - it strikes him that docwagon ought to be incoming soon as these guys have medi-bands on their left wrists.. thick light-blue plas, quite tight too, with the snake-on-a-stick motif saying 'docwagon' and a barcode. erm.. definitely different to his own recent docwagon monitor...
Look - If I can make the swim I'll tell you all I know - me an two others got the nod in Seattle said we'd be bustin rainbows an metas - we joined up this unit an busted a lot of ass - were supposed to be headin out to sea after this - protectin the cargo.. Millie nods receptively listening to his story - while keeping an eye on the darkness - something diddnt sound right out there
The students are real twitchy - eager for a looksee on what has been going on now that they realise they have been skirting a battlezone - Micro notes the incoming heavy copters a flight of four .. Max anf No5 both pick up signal scramblers - these things are pumping out a lot of electronics a minute or so and they will be in the area and looking to land

FE didn't bother hiding his comment at all. "Let's allow him to tell us what we wanna know before melting his brains for info.." I sighed. I perked up at the word cargo. I backed off giving FE his room. "Did he bring up the cargo before?" Now I was interested.

Four-Eyes just shook his head at Shade "Got check outside, 'heard a sound just then..
He listened to the trooper; so they were all called separately for one job. "Right, so what's the cargo you were to protect..and who paid for those GRAVs?"

To satisfy FE but to keep my ground since I wanted to know more about the cargo I did most of my ordering in person. I recalled one of the watchers I had keeping a eye over the camp ground. A tiny cartoonish reaper appeared in front of me. "Go check outside for anything moving this way. Take a snap shot and immediately report back." The watcher nodded. "Yes master." I looked back at the trooper. My interest hadn't diminished. I kept quite leaving FE to his work.

Shade wasn't moving, nothing surprising about that, but then a tiny spirit in the form of a reaper appeared in front of the Mage, and then it quickly vanished. "Good to have spirits huh?"

"Yeah and not just one." I snapped my fingers and the other three appeared. "Go assist your brother. One in the air with him and two looking for ground threats." "Yes, sir!"
((to clarify wolf. two keeping air watch and two keeping ground watch. The incoming choppers would be reported almost right away. I'm also pretty sure I said they were all F3 when i summoned them))

"Do you see him?"
"Not yet, keep lookin'."
Bishop whipped his Predator around, ready to fire two shots into the dark and hoping for a French-accented yelp of pain to be his reply.
He hesitated for a split second...
French?
Stupid fragging Frenchman - Henri had just given both of their positions away. Bishop called down a thousand curses on Henri, his family and (most importantly) Henri's genitals.
Focus. Don't let it distract you - the enemy is still out there and he now knows your position. Shallow breaths, mouth open to widen the ear canal...
"Apple.."
Bishop turned, bringing his Predator to bear before him. The muzzle hissed quietly, once and then again - phut, phut

Chuck shrugs when he figures out he can't tote all the slags back to camp. Make a decision and grabs there weapons if he can and the slag he thinks maybe the spell worm. He can pay for his freedom or some one else can pay for his freedom. If i'l lucky he may have some of those foci .... focus ...... spellworm dodads that I can sell. maybe get me one of those GRAVs to make a camper out of it.

We were to rip a cargo from the sailor-boys then head out to sea - Once in international waters we'd be safe and it would be too tough to zero in on us - drop off the cargo finish the biz an get paid.. That's it - the rest is what you see we got outfitted by this Knights unit and cracked a few heads over the past four weeks in policing duties..
Phut phut - no muzzle flash either with the pistol.. You are accomodating yourself to this blind-fighting - next couple of shots and youll be there.. maybe.. With his password question unanswered the trooper can let loose at the potential ambushers.. Rushed whispers in the dark and wet kisses spat out between yourselves - you recon you are close enough for one of you to charge in to try to beat the lead and inflict steely cuts instead - of couse you need to be able to see the target...
Chuck has unbuckled two troopers from their bucket seats- both are undernourished and have long hair poking out from beneath their helmets - spellworms no doubt... yu can easily carry one over your shoulder .. and collect a silenced H&K

Henri curses silently as the silenced SMG spits rounds in his direction. "Stupid fraggin' Brit, why did he have to go and play the hero and try to take all the enemies by himself. And why had none of the team thought to have a recognition code."[/color] Henri included himself in that last thought. It was a basic procedure that everyone had overlooked and the thought that he'd been that dumb stung more than a little.
Never mind. The important thing now was to survive and learn from the screw up. What he needed now was a way to mark the target. Shame said target didn't have a flashing light above it's head..."Wait, that's it!"[/i] Without further hesitation Henri summons a watcher and instructs it to go above the reeds, find their enemy, and manifest just above his/her head drawing attention to itself. While he waits for the watcher's antics to start up he quickly checks his pistol to make sure he wasn't about to activate the laser sight by accident...

Ah - playing to your strengths Henri.. a thought occurrs to you - what happens if you were to be on the receiving end of similar astral searches.. how could you remain undetected?
OK the trooper has double-backed - so he is thinking about his team or after rewengie. Either way he has to think himself pretty good because if he was just plain stupid then Bishop would have dropped him a while back.
He is currently undetected in reedbed cover and does know about mage support..
nighttime darkness problems.. bah! they dont have an effect on astral vision for watchers but the cover does and also any attempt to remain undiscovered.. the trooper is not striding towards you with aplomb (look it up) he is remaining stealthy... works on astral too - keep to cover thicker reed bundles - he may well be thinking of his IR sig and is continuing to keep that as low as poss which meands his concealment is effective against astral too! (hey street sammies an squaddies do things that keep em alive!)
you got a 'run silent run deep' and an occasional silenced burst is let go...
Henri observes the watcher - it thinks it has latched onto something - bah a bunch of freshly dead rats.. scurrying to and fro it cannot get a lock onto the skulking trooper straight off - Henri knows it would need a detailed search pattern and would probably get lost..
(by the way Bishop - one of your shots plucks the material of the trooper's IRdampening suit - he pushes a finger through the hole then rechecks his progress.. damn reeds.. damn ambush.. damn biz...)

Chuck scratches his head. Frag it. He grabs the one who looks like they are of higher rank. Then grabs all the magic looking doodads off the one he's leaving behind. So slinging his new H&K and an unconscious spellworm over the other shoulder he heads back toward the lodge.
I'm heading back to the lodge. I'm bringing an unconscious goon with me. Some one can question him or what ever. Any one need any help while I'm going back? Chuck keeps a slow and steady pace to the lodge.

Four-Eyes learned over the trooper, his Deputy and his lid smoke closer the to trooper's face " 'guess you didn't heard what I said..what was the cargo? And that Knight Security..'them the employers? Better answer the questions straight, 'else my buddy here's gonna be forced to use some nasty magic.."
At least he was talking..granted he wasn't to the point, but at least there was no need to go all mind rape...yet.

Typical runner on a typical job. Seen it before. I kept watch on him playing astral lie detector the best I could. "I doubt he knows. Most employers don't tell a team what their grabbing. Can't have goons knowing the true value of what their holding."
