Bishop proceeded forward cautiously. Step by slow step, his Predator raised to eye level, his ears listening for even the slightest movement nearby; he was moving automatically now, emotionless. No, please no - I have a family! As his limbs moved smoothly in accordance with the training and experience that had been driven into them for the last decade, his mind wandered to darker places... OOC - Is it my bad geography or did Chuck just drive back to the crossroad, pick up the grunts he dumped, in the middle of the firefight, and then bugger off again shortly to be followed by Shade casually driving through the middle of my mini warzone too. Thanks for the backup you two!

Yup Chuck's jumped the gun and got all the way across to the control room without 1 - getting hit by the air to Ground missile pods 2- driving through the troopers and past Bishop and finally 3 - hitting F-E's plastique mines Inastead he is pulling himself out of the swampy mud close to the blazing hulk of the grav he has recently driven for a couple of hundred metres - a few bodies are in dissarray to the rear of the ex-vehicle and a nearby crater or two are still smouldering
Bishop registers the air assault - strangely they seemed to be on target - the grav driver must have had little combat driving experience or their ecm was out.. no time to ponder someone elses troubles - there was someone close who wanted to make some for him..
Predator raised very slowly parting the reeds - knee-deep in muddied water listening, probing out into the dark.. someone had dropped out of the retreating squad - he would have done the same.. doubleback to eliminate the ambush team - the guy had to be close otherwise he was already gone.. Bishop stopped the area had been hit by rockets and the crap had finished hitting the water.. but here was a rippling to his left - bodies of rats gently bobbing in silent pulses.. timed to someone very close wading through the water..
F-E holds the troopre's gaze over the barrel of his big FO pistol - no messing around with that - the guy slumps but F-E remains out of kicking distance and begins with a few standard questions..
Millie cautiously pokes her head out of the control centre doorway still caked in riot foam lumps - These fraggers are goin down for a long long time dont waste your breath on em.. theyve bound to have a cover story - or if not then they believe what they are doin an theyve been duped - fraggin patsy - they would probably be eliminated once they got to where they were going anyway.. you'd do the guy a favour and blow out his brains before he gets peeled by the IS....
Wow! Millie was being a real mean piece of work.. coming on real strong to the kneeling trooper.. taunting the guy now he was down - diddnt settle well with F-E..
Shade pulled the last bullet-sized detanator out of the final block of plas.. piece of piss! what was all the fuss over demo charges.. oh yes, their ability to remove virtually all physical remnants of a body close up..
Micro and Henri stretched back inside their own skins - good to be home - the heavy thrummm of carrier copters from the north interrupted them.. shirly not more - they had to be the backup..
Meg called in - I suggest we all regroup - Max and No5 are picking up NAN signals that there are ground troops arriving and I dont want any of you to be accidentally targetted

((Damn sneaky Brit...not even your teamates spotted you!))
The trooper was moving about, ; he wasn't intrested to talk..then Milie came in the scene, like she was all that; damn stupid cops, always getting badass when the other party's down and weak as a kitten.
"I told you to handle the damn dam doors, so get to it!" Four-Eyes let out a shot toward the trooper, aiming at, and hitting of course, the wall behind him. The man jumped, scared of the sudden shot, but the boot that landed on his chest follwed by the muzzle of a Deputy an inch from his face might have calmed him..at least that's what Four-Eyes thought. At least he got the good mind to cuff him in the back...Even if he got tripped, the tropper couldn't used him gun. "YOU GONNA FRAGGIN' TALK ASSHOLE OR DO I HAVE TO DO LIKE THE LADY SAID?"
He hopred that might have benn convincing; killing in cold blood was not very sportman-like, much less not professional.

Take me, you bastards - I'm the commanding officer!
Slight disturbances in the water jerked Bishop back to the present. Keeping his pistol raised, he tilted his head and watched the disturbance in the water. His ears prickled, straining to detect even the slightest sound.
Nothing.
Meg chimed in over the comms - "I suggest we all regroup - Max and No5 are picking up NAN signals that there are ground troops arriving and I don't want any of you to be accidentally targeted."
Bishop ignored the message - mentally filed it away for later response. If he retreated to regroup with the team he would likely be spotted by his stalker; for better or worse he was trapped in this marsh, locked in this confrontation.
"Do you see him?" He called out, his voice no louder than a horse whisper.
It was an old trick, one that only a rookie would fall for, but this group had already demonstrated that they were amateurs. Just in case, Bishop ducked as low as he could into the water as he awaited a response from either his enemy or his enemy's weapon...

I drove under blackout. Using the low light in my shades. I came up on the dam and looked for the entrance by FE. I parked close by so my car wasn't in plain sight. I got out and locked it. <C>"I'm outside FE. Don't shoot." <C>"Alright Shade, your clear." I found FE keeping watch over the same trooper he was before. He gave me the eye and I slowly pulled out my sword and left it at my side and gave him the eye right back. With thoughts of a hostage destroyed he went back to watchin FE. "Boss lady wants a regroup. Whats the plan?" I kept my eyes on the guy and handed FE two paper bags. The C4 was in one and the timers in the other.

Micro is standing by the students with the last of his cig held in his index finger and thumb using his other three fingers to do his best to hide the cherry from anyone in eye sight of the group. Micro hears the call over the comm for the regroup. Well I'm already here with the students now I guess I wait for the rest to join me. Or the call for redeployment else where. Micro thinks to himself as he finishes the last of his smoke. Dame that was a good smoke, they always seem better when your having one to celebrate not being dead.
(OOC Sorry for no back up Bishop, I don't remember getting a call for it and I'm with the students and the regroup call has been given so, I won't be there to help out, maybe next time.)

Henri sits crouched in the water, waiting for the opportunity to let Bishop know he's there without provoking a blue on blue incident. He seizes his chance when he hears Bishop whisper "Do you see him?" Trusting the Brit to have the intelligence to recognise his voice, Henri whispers a reply, "Not yet, keep lookin'."It takes Henri a couple of seconds to realise that Bishop's question was not actually directed at him, that there is at least one hostile in the immediate vicinity, and that he'd probably just given away his position. "Drek!" With his heart pounding in his chest, Henri attempts to reposition himself whilst trying to spot the sneaky enemy. Shade watches the streaks emit from the strike copter then the fly-boy moves towards the dunes hammering tracer into anything that moves over there... The explosions from the grav that Chuck drove out puncture the night, heavy rounds cooking off alongside the rip of lighter ammo -
Chuck calls in to announce his loss of a touring mobile home - ever the joker.. Shade then considers driving a vehicle towards the dam.. the copters are all within detection ranges and diddnt seem too unhappy letting rip on any old target.. the car-ride may be a touch dangerous - they ought to have heavy mil-spec thermal lowlight motion an any other targetting device on board, and itchy fingers..

Bishop and Henri hear a hushed harsh whisper..
Apple..
Henri realises his mistake in croaking out an answer to Bishop... someone else is closeby and wants an answer.. Henri puts real effort into quietly repositioning himself in the thigh deep muddy water.. barely a slosh is made - but not much distance either... Henri has an idea of the direction but not much else - blind man's bluff, in a reedbed, at night, with an H&K as the bladder on a stick..
Bishop recognises where Henri ought to be and now 'Apple' had given away his position - knowing where he could head towards Bishop had to make a descision - the opposition had heard both of them - and had replied with a military signal - to what end? to give away his position...? Could be not all of them were untrained Currently on some kinda sandbank Bishop is ankle deep - easy to manouver in the close area but it would get deeper - and slower further out
The students are now engaged in watching the fireworks with Meg and Benny attempting to keep them under wraps.. 'that is a military zone - you will get fried if you attempt to enter - It is not our concern - what do you think you can do, help out? or rubberneck? Youve seen the astral scrap our guys are OK ' Micro can see the two of them are just about running out of threats excuses and pleas - the students are itching to zip off into astral for a good nose around - if there are any further mages in the site whether naval or trooper the kids would get ripped apart - thy have no realisation of what has just occurred
We were told we were rippin through the rainbows - then we're told we blitz their huts in the dunes - then the hydro station - hit the rainbow fraggers scare the crap out of them-faries an drive em out - thats what they said - you're humes not halfcast faries - what's goin on..? Looks like the bad-cop bad-cop worked well Millie smiles.. Listen you aint got much time - you could head out to sea but we need to know who, has to be quick before the MPs arrive you dont need to be here, but we need to know.... something she remembers from her police training? give them a small way out in return for some juicy snippetts..?

Hah! Shade manouvers his way past the burning popping wreakage of the grav then finally pulls up on the crete slope of the dam in time to exit the car and kick the sidearm from one recovering trooper's near-grasp.. F-E and the girl cop Molly.. Milly are at the control station, doors still smouldering - they are quizzing a live and coherant trooper... Both F-E and Millie turn their heads to check out - something they thought they heard was arriving..
(Just reminding you of the dangers of driving around in hostile territory !)
from further inland comes the sound of heavy copters, troop-carriers probably

Micro does his best to help Meg keep the students settled and in there bodies. To help makes sure none decide to jump out Micro keeps his eyes viewing the astral to see if anyone leaves there body. Ok Guys it is not save to be heading over there, if you jump out of your body there could be hostiles there, I went to magical college and they told me about what could be out there. If the Troops let us after this is all rapped up we should be able to go look at the battle site with our astral vision and see if there is anything you can learn about signatures left behind after a fight like this.

Chuck grabbs up his unconscious or dead bodys and humps it back to the camp sight. Boss Lady wants us back. I'm heading that way. I've got me a few downed baddies here, so it'll take a few for me to drag my hoop in with these goons.

The Interrogation worked well- it seems Milies wasn't that much lame..another point for her. Four-Eyes put some pressure on his wound whit his boot; just a little incentive he can feel a little more directly.
"Lady's right; th' Rainbows ain't the kind to live in an military installation, much less work in 'crete buildings managing a dam. What's the real reason you came here, and who's the sponsor?"

I watched FE work his magic but decided to offer some if mine. I moved over to him and held up my hand in case the goon could read lips. <W>"Want me to work my magic?"
