(( Could problem's get more off of the matrix. You can't tell me SR doesn't have E-bay. Shade knows a few better places I am sure. I know about Quick's cabin was just playing it from Shade's view.))
"Hey Micro who many matrix programmers does it take to change a light bulb?"

As the Elves were packing, ready to leave, Four-Eyes took Illiya off to the side, "So, you talked about the sample for a nice 'lil fee.. 200 000 right?..'Pretty generous yes, but it wasn't easy gettin' it..the wendigo was in meat form, and it had 4 underlings..most of them armed with shotguns, rifles and body armour, you read the report....'pretty generous yeah, but I was more aiming at something like...300 000?..Let's say for the exclusive story of everything that happened?"
negotiations [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]
(OOC Wolflet say..
I understand your concern at such an unexpected amount Four-Eyes, Maybe should deal directly with the person in charge of the operation, Captain Bridges, you were a sworn in deputy, acting under his authority neh..? however we have already arranged a further meet with more interested parties, a variety of persons who have vested interests in the well-being of the company. I can cancel that gesture if you wish and reimburse your obvious hard work in yen You have access to something that we want sole rights to..
[dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]
180,000 was the going rate, we offer 200,000 - a week ago you just stepped back onto the bus with a pat on the back. Now it is 300,000 Here, a stic for 10,000 as money upfront. I havnt got anything else with me unless you got an industrial credreader? Make your mind up next week when you come to the offices as to the remainder. Yewww - Illiya counters Four-Eyes' 50% markup and some.. she is using her knowledge of the market to back up her negotiate skill as well! But if you dont try you dont get - true? You got yourself a still-open deal... "Hmmm...right..Don't cancel the meet, I'll take care of any copies of it, then we'll make the deal..200 000 and the meet it is then. See you next Week Illiya. Keep the 10 grand, as a sign of 'loyalty' if you call it that." Four-Eyes wasn't too much happy it didn't work out as he planned, but being greedy always got it's load of problem. At least she was still interested into buying the sample, and the meet with whoever was interested in what happened was still on, back to basic, nothing lost, nothing gain, just ridin' the wave., [rand=65673854806859648421606207120492539264535618835614910472214243586]

"I don't know shade I think too many. You first have to design the new light, write a program to get the thing to work. Too many I think." Micro says back to Shade after the joke was asked of him. Micro trys to think of other things the Decker would do before he ever gets around to fixing the light.
(OOC off to B.C. this weekend so I will be without the net. You all have a great Easter Later.)

Once the discussions are out of the way, as they leave, a little way outside of the cabin, Meg stops Four-Eyes.
'You nearly fragged that up totally, by pushing to three hundreg gees - she could have told you to stick it, you got the gift of the gab but you aint no corporate dealmonger, you gave out your final position straight off, a 'shoot-me-down-if-you-dare offer, but she still took it..
I would have re-offered you 50,000 as MY starting point.. then started the bargaining.. she also knew her stuff - those bits about undermining your bargaining position bu noting that Bridges was actually in charge - she was drawing on her knowledge of the situation to improve her chances...
strange why she let it ride - like she's not interested in the cred.
You dont like elves much do you Four-Eyes? Illiya avoided your questions about the 'interested parties' who may be at this Fortean Times meeting too.
She walks over to the picnic table and announces: Look guys I'm going to be off soon, but if everything comes together for the plans I've got then I think I will need to call on you - if that's OK with you all. Youve got a number for me just message it and I'll get back, or contact Lucille. Short term I'll see you next week, an if you dont get a decent price for the stone- keep hold of it. once things come together I will know whats happening, if it dont, then - I'll just keep ducking an diving. Nice working with you all..
She whistles down the tubfull of ores, and wraps up against the evening cool. 'If anyone needs a lift back now, I can drop you off in Seattle' she calls up a bigger mist spirit then flies the tub, getting the spirit to then use its movement power on it too.. be there in an hour!

((Have a good Easter Scawire.))
Four-Eyes simply raised his shoulders "Yeah well, it was worth it..'pretty sure some other slags woulda paid less, but at least, I could sell more than one copy to a guy..50 grands times 10, even better than a one big shot offer in my book. And besides, you saw how easy she was about to drop a mil for a body? It was a chance to take, but I'd figure that money was no object to her; she 'prolly have some major cash flow backing her ass.."
Then came the obvious 'you don't like Elves' line. boy did he heard it alot. "No, I don't like 'them twig-lickers. Why? I got my own reasons, let's just say that high and mighty stare they got while they talk to us 'evolved primates' just scream 'punch me in the face, I deserve it', among other things..Yeah, odd she dodged that one, it better not be some sort of set-up, even if I expect nothing more from them..hell since we're out here, we can't really check out the address, right? It could be a LoneStar bunker for all we know. We do the work, and they clean outta paying us, more profit in their pockets."
They went for the tables, but Four-Eyes slowed his walking to match Quick's "Hey, you heard what I said, I hate your guts for what you are..personally, I thought you woulda been the first to run after the Spirit screamed, but you actually stayed there..even took a swing at it! 'Pretty slick deal there Quick, you're going up on my respect ladder." He gave the Elf a tab in the back "Keep it up chum, maybe someday we'll get a drink and somethin' to do huh?"
Meg announced her departure, and a possible job "Yeah, nice workin' with you too Meg, don't mind callin' anytime." The Mage left, and he decided to go check on Shade, Micro and Angel "So, you guys managed to catch that Lady Mage or what?"

'Dont you think that they are shit scared of erm, 'humanity' .. it took a whole mountain range to erupt before anyone took the NAN seriously enough to stop wiping them out - then the big Change after years of killer viruses, htat was only forty years ago - my folks cant change their thinking.. theyre beaming because I can make magic, not because I worked friggin hard through college. Magic good, pointy ears bad. Crap. I'ts not an either or, its a here and now and deal with it - coz youre good at that Four-Eyes- dealin with it. Dunno where youre goin in the future but youll be leadin it, an dealin with it. See you all in a week kiddies...

(OOC Wolflet say.. There is the Easter break coming up - some have no time some have lots, so if you want to write up your own festival shennanigans, please do ! there may well be treats, easter-eggs and black-eyes in it for you , but fairly lighthearted.
I will be starting a new thread from the Fotean Times offices soon.
My thoughts: I think it ran well once we had ditched the intensive round- by round detailed combat. If combat ever occurrs again - perish the thought! - then I will try to keep it cheap an cheerful - otherwise it does get boring. I like answering your onscreen posts in your own post ... what do you all think? Is it hard to follow - or do you pick up stuff you missed last time - personal or scary?
How about the number of players - do you think there are too many? do people get in the way or suddenly appear?
On the spot 'ticks' - do you like em? Personally I think they are a bit weedy, but a 'nice' way of acknowledging that the player is putting some good contributions into the story
I was , again surprised at how fast a huge scrap was over, it really is done and dusted in a few turns - so you got to be able to wind up any specials quickly, and get your blows in fast.
There are still a few things outstanding that you will all get wind of. Remember, everything you do will be noticed by someone somewhere, action and reaction.
And as a last point I think that these storylines can incorporate a good few players, So if people are looking out for a game, you can make Illiya a contact, and use her as a reason to be at the festival..... and either write stuff in now at the festival or startup at the offices in the next storyline.
Gimme a PM if you want to startup someone new - and get the cha cleared with cha customs... Gimme a PM yup if you want to continue your current cha too, and some feedback from the above. Any of the current players are welcome to continue, - if you want to run any sideline stuff - please feel free to do so - if youve got time! - Theres a chop shop that needs exploring - to restyle the bus - a contact mech/elec/tech maybe? Theres lots of magic at this place - anyone want to write a few posts on that? Could it all ascend to the heroplanes as there is so much concentrated power here? (I'm an old RQ greybeard runepreist..so I know!.) Thunder - you get caught with your RV firing in the streets of Seattle, you will be doin a 15 stretch ! if you get caught....!

Quick grins towards Four-Eyes. "Thanks pretty sure you would have stuck by me as well. At the moment though don't see why we can't get that drink now, who knows what will happen tomorrow."

"Yeah but...I got something in the back of my mind..can't put my finger on it..must be the booze and shit..I hate it when that happen..I gotta figure that thing first, then we'll drink no problem..." Four-Eyes get lost in his thought, trying to figure out what that thing on his brain was trying to tell him.
As Meg brings a mist spirit out of thin air, Four-Eyes get to her "Hey Meg, 'mind doin' a little detour and a astral scan for me? 'Should take 30 minutes tops, I just need ot silence that voice in my head tellin' me ther's somethin' to be done."

erm, fine, I can be back in Seattle in an hour noe I got a big spirit to help me move this tub... I've not got panda eyes like the other two...
Well, that thing you said about vampires having to sleep in their native earth- got me thinkin'-and the ripper deal- where the thing that connected it to the physical world had to be in another element for the spirit to die off for good, maybe we simply bane the spirt for a little while, it might come back...I just need you to check the pit with astral detail, and if therE's some wierd mojo happenin, we take care of it for good- I don't wanna show up inf front of Illiya with her yaking that the wnedigo came back, y'know?

"All right then, just head for the 'dingo's cabin...Oh and stop by the garage at the main road, I'm gonna grab a shovel"
(OOC Wolflet say There were common things like that still there used by the cops.. 10 mins later and Meg lands the tub near the Wendigo cabin.. the ground is pluoghed up by the ellies, the night is black with brilliant stars pinpricked on the blue-black night sky.. Meg turns on the widebeam torch... so what do you remember about this place last time that has brought you back..
apart from the ground being ploughed up, the roof being way over there and the ground inside being dug out and used as an earth rampart defensive wall - with a blackened hole in it... what has changed?
Meg tries to astrally scan the place-
'Pain, suffering, fear, lots of fear, it kept fear around itself, dispair.. '
Enough.. the place is steeped in this aura of fear.. outside of the cabin, recent big elemental activity, very earthy, definately of the earth, creatures with great power..
OK you know this - what else...
(("Drop me down, I wanna dig a bit in that blacked hole, somethin' ain't feelin' right"))

Four-Eyes and Meg walk coldly inthrough the hole that had been blasted into the cabin - you look around from the gap - just as you remembered it - Meg sees the interior properly for the first time..
floorboards ripped up and stacked over by the rear door.. the earth below the cabin dug up and thrown onto the inside walls- a hefty clay- wall defense, except you guys pulled the roof off..
and a chunk left at floor level, the bit that Shde was shouting about before he got mesmered.. the 'altar' that Hunter had been dumped onto. Four_eyes goes through the motions, reliving the sequences that he can bring to mind... wham the wall goes in , the troll goes ove I go through, over there Merrow was first over, getting battered.. two elementals rise up - Shade shouts,, what?
Meg watches on listening to him run through the events..

Four-Eyes got a shovel that was lying around- maybe Sliver's maybe the Ranger's he didn't really care. He trust the tool in the small chuck of earth, if it was solid enough to held a full-grown man, it should be a bit hard to break, not to mention the only thing left in the pit.
