The call goes through Cptn Bridges then out to the Rangers in the area.. the information that the roadblock has been wrecked has filtered through, and they are on the lookout for the saloon car Now that they know the perps are off on bicycles - cancel that, light dirtbikes - the call goes out to the screeched-to-a-halt patrolcar. they revv up, bootleg and pick up the trail.. with two mages pointing the way the car begins catching up to the dirtbikes,
Taking the next sensible move, those bikes do take the earliest opportunity to hang into a turning , drive up the dirt road for a short distance then head off into the trees leaving the patrol car on the road relaying coordinates along with Fraggers Bleedin and Bugger
Be lovely to call in a copter if there were easily called-up copters to be had ! - problem too, is that the forest cover is very thick.. it is hard to pick up on IR in such dense terrain. Though IR will pick em up, they would have to have a good lead, and the patrol car is currently winding its way back to the road to get to an observation point to see if the bikes break cover again back onto the road..
(OOC Angel is off for the w/e Shade an Micro would no doubt follow through the trees, popping up every so often to get your bearings an see if anyone else is around.. the bikes will have to go quite slow and they do double-back onto the road. The patrol car has a hard time of it getting out there too, losing a few minutes - now it is a few miles behind . with the mages indicating where the dirtbikes now are.
one last roadblock isset up with rip-wrap chain across the road to blow or tangle the wheels.. the bikes decide not to leave te road again once they see this roadblock and slow down, as this time the cops got IR sights out already on their hunting rifles..
You two mages (or three) see the mage-ess cast an illusion spell...

Peaches shrugged. "Dat napalm drek dey put over da road fragged over da cops' tires anyway. No way I was gonna get my shit stranded here, too." He shook his head. "Anyway, what's so hard about catchin' 'em? I mean, it's not like 'dey could cross da border dat easily."
"And it's not like we're actually bein' paid to do this," he adds silently.
(OOC Wolflet say.. on the subject of border control, Seattle has a few major routes into it land sea air too.. Border control tends to be light getting into Seattle, most of it tends to be vid controlled monitoring that tallies with an order - most larger importers exporters use this 'transparant 'system of telling the authorities what they are dlivering, by who and when. Most goods will be chipped with recognition tags too, sothey get an auto check as they come through city limits.
A good way to promote trade, make it easy and tax em.
private vehicles are chipped - just like their passengers - ever wonder why you always go the long way round - you sinless avoid the systems thats why.
but there is so much throughflow that stopping stuff getting in is not high priority, theres just too much and too many other routes.
use of cctv is. electronic checks watch and protect the citizens.
The black untaxable economy goes through the sinless - so thats why there are crackdowns and expulsions an redevelopment all aimed at pushing you out of the city. theres no money in no-people.
Other borders however tend to have better security being very posessive about what they fought for and now hold.
The Orc Cascades borders tend to be lax in but like to tax, out! Monitoring stations can accept cred transfers from unidentified vehicles, and not call out the troops. Not that they can afford to keep many troops on alert ! Theres lots of militia instead ready to repel UCAS incursions.

'You feeling OK Four-Eyes..? you seem erm, irritated. It sounds like it is important to them to catch that mage, must be a mage thing. Here I'll make them comfortable.' She flips a couple of blankets over them all, and straightens Micro's flashing hat.
'Cheers folks' then guzzles another tinnie.

Micro seeing the spell being cast will try and disspell the thing after it is going. (illusions usally need ot be sustained). "Drek if I don't get that spell dropped I think this chase has almost come to an end with her getting away." Micro thinks as he gathers Mana to counter her spell.
(unknown how may hours have past since losing 5 Magic points get 1 back an hour so not too much pool in this one)
"Lets try helping the road block out guys" Micro say to the other mage Sorcery (dispelling) 5 + 4 spell pool Total 9 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]
Rule of 6 [dice=6]
Rolls 4,1,9,1,4,2,3,3,3
Drain (This may hurt) TN? Dmg ? Will 6 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Rolls 4,2,5,5,5,2
After the drain hits Micro he figure he has done as much as he can and unless he resisted the drain well enouph to contiue he might head back to his body. (Let me know what kind of Drian I got from it then I will decide)
(OOC Wolflet Say.. You too recon youve done enough to the F5 illusion she gains a few successes in order to create the area spell into fooling the cops that the bikes are off to the left... youreduce the spell by one success and take a 3D drain (dispelling is tough - you have to use your sorcery against the spell F not half of it like the caster does.. ) reduced to a instant boosted bloodvessell in the nose an M Physical damage- you got black eyes for a few days ! an a spliitng headache...
You can see the bikes drive on and attempt to weave through the hurried roadblock...the lead bikeer slows down to manouvre and drops a cannister.. the cops are shooting at a different target off to the left
Angel cannot take part.. Shade will be available... up to you Shade, you recon you can quash the remaining three successes.. so the cops retarget the bikes if you do, then the bikes get plastered, if not they break through.... Unless theres any other options.. (Theres always other options..)
Micro - take a sorcery tick...

Shade from his vantage point sees the mana swell up. " Not on my watch." He creates small blue mana strings from his fingers. They lash out wrapping around the spell and start to squeeze at it. Disspell: 10d6 Sorcery: 5 + sp: 5 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] Drain: 7d6 Will: 6 + sp: 1 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] RO6 [dice=6] Shade balls his hand into a fist and pulls back. He wasn't prepared well for the drain. Pushing harder more on power output. (OOC Wolflet say.. against the F5 spell, not a sausage, but you do deserve something for being sooo close... how about another nosebleed/headache.. you and Micro will look like a pair of Pandas.. those extinct black and white teddy things the eco terrorists the WWF spray onto walls.. You have done your level best, you and Micro return to your meat bods sharpish.. the Mage-ess sneaks off while the roadblock cops are craftily misguided for your hard work and dogged determination have a sorcery tick.. and a rest while Meg and Angel put a frozen popsicle on your noses then a healing to remove any ill-effect, apart from the black-eyes. Good news is once she reaches Sesttle the Orc Council has no juristiction over her... sorry, that was her good news. [rand=531666166562729224047797658089410198945531565996043198061300087891]

Four-Eyes gave a tab on Peaches' back "C'mon, there's nuthin' left we can do from here, at least until that pile of burning metal ain't removed from the road.."
While walking back, he talked a bit with Peaches "Y'know, from what I saw and such, Thunder didn't started that fight with the Ork, sounded more like the other guy was lookin' for trouble. Not sayin' it's a good thing to stir shit with the locals, but from what you said, 'sounded like Thunder started the act. Ain't blamin' you for nothing, ,could be the Orkish blood that kicked in, does that once in a while."
Back at the tables, Meg seemed concerned about Four-Eyes previous sudden burst of madness "Yeah Meg, but if it's a Mage-thing like you say, how come them'awakens needs a sleepy head like me to help them do their dirty work..and besides, you're here right? Mustn't be THAT much of a Mage thing. Anyways, I'm off to see Illiya; 'got some info she needed to book Hunter's medivac outta here and into intensive back in town."
He catches his half-filled beer and went to the Elves' cabin, after a quick knock and no response, he knocked again "Hey, Illiya, you there? Got that reading you wanted.."

When Micro and Shade return, Angel had already returned to her body and gotten up to warn them that the Magess was casting an illusion. She looks as Shade and Micro's meat body start to show signs of stress, and is anxious up until they return. Once they do, Angel uses her magic to heal them, drawing help from her healing fetish.
(Back...though a bit tired)
(OOC Wolflet say.. take a 'looking after people' tick - a point on either paramedic active or kn skill or sorcery.. see being nice gains its rewards too!)

Meg will up and after them too - Angel is better geared up to deal with the sputtering mages who soon calm down with a shot of medicinal hooch. Meg is concerned that any deal that is made may be ripping them off rather than rewarding. As Fryer is there and he is a decker, does anyone know a 'magic' site that would give out information like Wendigo dna , and at what price?
(OOC Wolflet say.. theres a few things going on here - Four-Eyes wants to conduct some biz, along with Peaches. Meg has proposed to check out with Fryer some ballpark figures for what you got. Anyone logging into the site will have to gain some sort of clearance (fix it as a contact) in order to use it - or convince the site to allow access - yen. If you have such a site as a contact, then fine - but noone else knows this yet. Bit like saying ..'y'know Huggy down at the slug and Lettice.. well he's the guy who can...'
If you dont know Huggy at ... then even if you go down there, he hasnt put the word out to his local buds about which guys he is 'in' with.
Same with a site - if you aint known - you dont get in just because you know a second-hand password!
This is the player version of 'I know a guy who knows...'
Fryer could deck in and translate fast for someone who does know a site, and gain some intel on extremely specialist info....
Looking through your contacts - the mages do know other magic people - but if you want something special like this you need a special contact. One player I saw a while back had a contact who could get anything - no - 'sorry sir theres no crocodile sandwiches left, weve run out of bread.' will be the answer. I do draw lines - but as you have seen if you put the effort in, you can make your cha expand in the way you want.
Meg has 'Well Connected' - she may well know someone who has needed such info in the past and has paid for it.... Or Talismonger contacts are the guys who make the deals..
Between you mages you can rustle up a ballpark figure of 100000 creds which is a single unit of top-notch magical gear. Soon as the info is out though, it wont be worth a bean.
Four-Eyes looks at the bio read infochip in a different light. (What was Jon's cut?)

((John's cut? hmm...must admit it didn't cross my mind...'pretty sure I'll figure something out..and since I only asked him and not talked about why or a price, I'm in the clear for a bit while I think of a way to get him some of that cred fun...'course all depends on how much that'll stack on the market too..'course by 'market' I meant 'how much can I haggle outta the Elves and get that medivac'.....))
(OOC Wolflet say.. The medivac was part of the deal to get rid of the Wendigo.. should be on-route right now.. four or five hours..?

"Thanks Angel. You live up to your name."
Shade didn't move instead reaching down for his coffee. He tried not to think the magess instead taking F.E.'s attitude and saying f*ck it. He relaxed and wondered why Taz had never called him back. Wasn't the first time. Something might have come up and he didn't need the info now anyway. Shade lit a smoke sat there and tried not to stew.
Shade looked at the stars. Didn't see those back home.
OC: Shade does have a matrix magic resources knowledge skill. Would that help?
(OOC Wolflet Say.. matrix magic resource is ideal.. going rate for any concrete information on vamiric nasties is around a quater mill. Bio samples more. Bio readouts less - have a tick for your kn skill!
Now youve really got a bargaining position with the Fortean Times - or you could sell the bio sampler readout to the matrix site.. for 200000 minus a 10% dealers fee.. 180000 is a base price the matrix is willing to pay out. Someone wants vampire details.

Illiya opens the door before you get a chance to knock ushering you in with excitement
I've been on to the office - we got a date for next week, theres a couple of people coming over who want to ask you some questions - will that be OK?
Look, about the trid snaps I took, I dont expect anything of the shade, but the elementals should come out great ! They were huge! got the slug? If we can enhance it we can put it out in the Times as a real scoop!
Before I get carried away - what did you guys think you did well and what do you think went poorly - we want to keep as much first hand info as possible.. What did you mages think of the others - and you guys of the mages - that sort of thing would be great!
Illiya will listen to your de-breifings taking studious notes then drop her jaw when you mention the bio scan of the Wendigo from a week ago.. getting into discussion about it she will offer you 200,000 as long as the original data is collected (from Jon) so they have sole access to it.
have a thinks roll anyone who is there in Illiyas cabin ... +2 dice for anyone who got into the Wendigo 'pit' - or tell me any ideas that spring to mind.

((Humm..Wolf, just got 2 question; what's the slug Illiya's talking about, and what's that thing about a 'think roll'?...Oh and it seems it's the only sample..'least John never told me he did a copy or it..))
(OOC Wolflet say.. slugs again.. buy/rent the DVD 'flushed away' for some great slugs! the vid slug/chip that Peaches requisitioned.. and an INT roll to see if anything jumps to mind about stuff in specific that you havnt thought about doing yet.. or not..
Jon would have sent a copy of the results to you - he has the original data they want to ensure that they get the scoop and noone else.
