Four-Eyes seems the logical choice to sit up front with Thunder so he can tell him where to go. Surrounded by a small swarm of large trolls-on-hogs takes up most of the road, they seem to be good riders, aware of the tiny spaces they leave when undertaking each other.
Out on the road the headlamps light up the whole area ahead - theres no streetlighting out here, but there are lamps of different kinds available. light cloud, thin feeble sickle moon = poor visibility
Damn, playin out after dark again..
Have a think about the kit you will be taking with you - Peaches has already tooled up - not sure of who he'll be shooting yet - as you are all aware that the trolls are close to uninvited guests. Four-Eyes could have told them to spin, but.. 'keep your enemas closer' seems to be the order of the day.. yik*
Micro's remark about initiates draws a comment from Illiya Do you know much about the inner workings of the silent brotherhoods then Micro ? or has their myth smokescreened you? Where would your calling lie if you had a choice ?
It seems to nestle easily with Meg's description of the Snake totem, a belief becomng reality. Theres a while to go - like Peaches complained before, you mages can sure fill in the time with gassing. Or is Illiya cleverly prompting you to chatter and so not have to dwell on what might be ahead

Throughout the ride, Peaches keeps his eyes mostly on the gangers around them. He's still a bit irritated about Four-Eyes offering them a job despite his objections. But then again, perhaps it's all a good thing. Instead of being ambushed in the night, he can keep a watch on the bastards from his seat on the RV. It might be a sound strategy to some, but still Peaches is uneasy.
"Fine," he thinks to himself. "The mages can deal with all the hocus pocus. I'll do what I do best and deal with the mundane side of things. I haven't gotten to shoot anything yet, anyway." He fingers the grip of his shotgun, studying the lead biker form his seat. "I ain't never gotten out of a run without having to fire off a couple rounds at least. And I got a feeling that this one ain't gonna be any different."
((What are they wearing and what kind of weapons do they seem to be backing? Do they have much in the way of armored clothing?))
(OOh just found this irritating modify reply thingy.. sorry Peaches for barging in to your post - the trolls are wearing and toting as much as any sane person could, they know theyre tough but need to look macho so their 'colours ' the obligatory denim sawnoff with their winged deathshead NUMBER 1% 999ers are over their armoured jackets - in the old days they would wear leathers as protection - as they travel and hit the liquorice strip at 200mph it has to be armour - full suits.

Shade looks over at Illiya. "I missed the briefing so tell me what you know of wendigos if you'd be kind." Shade moves his cellphone around in his hand. He looks uneasy.

"Well Illiya, I studied for some time at the University in Seattle, they never covered alot about the Magic Groups but they did give us a quick over view of initiates and Magic groups so unless the Professor was Lieing I know a bit about the happenings of Initiatives. It was a short class though, optional too but I want to gain more power so the next level did seem like a good class to be taking." Micro says as he remembers his school days. Micro pauses for a bit then continue"There where alot of classes and alot of talk amongst students so maybe it is a roomer, but I would better think we have a high level mage out there and not get geeked, then to think other wise and get geeked."
Micro checks his Ares predator. "Hey Four Eyes how did the bullet making go. Any good news?" Micro asks knowing full well that if they are short on the silver bullets him and the other mages come second in getting the bullets since they can sling spells at the Windego, the others have to either shot high cost bullets or get up and personal.

Meg has her dark blue suedette effect armour jacket buckled up, puts in a reply. 'Ive got a lot bubbling in the background, kids and new job and immediate worries, but youre not talking about that are you Illiya? Ive explained Snake, youre after what makes us want to tick. Well I recon that youve got to look out for you and your our own first, then you hit moral obligations. my professor in Cambridge university said 'the moral core' is the thing that gives us our values and reason. So it depends on your fundemental belief like you say, your calling. Im here because I got the call, but I came because I wanted to help

Gleep* cant reply individually to each post, so dont expect any future intrusions..
Peaches watches the bikes slow and accellerate past from the window of the RV - friggin fighter pilots of old, invunerable. The lights grumble past, illuminating everyone inside in turn. The RV banks a little, hitting turbulence - bumpy clouds - they used to say, flashes - again from the outside. Engines roaring keeping things stable. lid secure webbing tight waiting for the off - again. Wont be too far, no call to stand down not too close no ten minute brief..
Illiyas questions in the dull of the RV prompt some avoisive answers - Illiya is a journalist and is looking for that core of truth - she bats aside Shades's Wendigo question with Whats a Wendigo.. well as far as we know it is a name we can give to an orc strain vampyre. Theres a lot of unsubstantiated myth about how to deal with the things - as I said , groups hunting them down tend not to live very long when exposed to the press.
But strip away a few layers Mr Shade, Micro, Angel Peacheswhat really brings you out here? you could be coining in a mill a year working for Aztechnology or most other major corps.. most of you could as professionals in your own fields.. Meg said she wants to help - that is thin yoghurt.. If you want to help- what is it you really would help with? building schools, money for the OAPs, your name up in lights, world fraggin peace ? what would really get you up off your ass and let you get your teeth into?
Im not recordin or nuthin, y'know why? Im looking at half a dozen guys who do have an idea of what theyre going into, but are letting the guys outside go in blind, you gotta be better than just following orders...
Geeze! you could hear a pin drop through the thickening air - noone wants to punch first because ther will be so many fists flying in that youwouldnt be able to contact - Illiya's provocative journalist approach .. It is a slap in the face approach, stops the avoidance, seeks a little bit of real truth...

"God damn, you flap your gums worse dan a fraggin' mage. But you wanna know what makes me tick? You wanna understand what makes me want to go wading God knows what, wid' a buncha slags I barely know and a gang of trogs at my rear dat's hell bent on stickin' a knife in my back? Well I'll humor you, sister."
Peaches makes the pretense of pulling out another cigar and lighting up the stogie with his zippo. He stuffs the lighter back into his pants pocket and takes a long drag on the cigar, blowing the smoke up at the ceiling. "When you're born wid'out a SIN, your options are kind of limited. Me? I never had a shot at any'ting more 'dan bussin' tables or moppin' up after spoiled corpers. So, da only choice left was natural. For a long time, a gun in one hand and a fist-full of cash in da udder meant da world by da tail. After so much of dat drek, a body gets used to it. Yeah, 'tings have changed since I clawed my way out of da barrens, but old habbits die hard. I tried to retire once, but da old life just has a way of draggin' ya back. Bullets and blood is what I know, and it's what I can make a livin' by. It's probably what I'm gonna die by, too, but I bet most of dese folks around you have resigned 'demselves to dat same fate."
He levels a even gaze at the elven journalist. "Meg wants you to 'tink we 'just want to help,' and maybe in trut', she does. College has a habbit of brainwashin' you to see a world fulla farts and sunshine. But I'm tellin' you, for me, 'dat's bullshit. I ain't no saint, and never claimed to be. I do what good I can when I can; I try to help out 'dose dat can't help demselves, but Robinhood I ain't. At da end of da day, I do 'dis for me and my crew. As long as we get home wid' enough cred to live on for a few more weeks, 'den it's mission accomplished. Any'ting else is just icing on da cake. But let me tell you, sister, dat icing? In dis world, it's awful fragging thin."
He snorts as if laughing at a private joke. "And if we get out of 'dis God-forsaken country alive, you can print dat."

Shade grins. "I'm fated to die, I accept that. I refuse to believe that I'm fated to die tonight. As for me I examine scene evidence. I'm a freelance investigator. I see a crime scene every other week. When someone doesn't believe what their told is when I become involved... I really hate cops."

((Kit-gig posted in Fallen Angel, as to round up the thing))
They left the Falls Camp, and got onto the road "Thunder, we'll have to turn in th'woods, 'bout 40 minutes ride to get there, then it's another 15 in the woods, there's 3 rocks right near the fork, right after a big long curve to the left, I'll tell you when it is." He then lid a smoke, cracked the window open (as to make air circulation) and switched to thermal vision, keeping his eyes on the road, and his ears on the conversation the others were having. "Well Micro, they weren't ready, but managed to get 10, good for Preds and mine. Only got 10 thought, so those who can shoot, get some, th rest..well hope you can cast magic or somethin'.."
Four-Eyes listened to the Elf doin' the thing. He didn't like talking about himself, mostly because every time he had the mischance of talking about what education he had, people seemed almost insulted, surprised and shocked. And that elven hack seemed more than inclined to figure out what's the low-down on them..that and Peaches seemed more or less attracted to higher education, not by choice, he knows that, but no need to turn the knife when it's stuck between his ribs.
"Hey, Illiya, you got a piece or only a vidcam? 'Figure if you go huntin' for stories about supernatural creatures, you must know how to defend yourself."

*he looks at everyone* These are the rules keep the place clean *he likes it sorta neat. Yep the drone parts might look like a mess to the untrained eye but they are in some order*Only open the windows to get air flow. In the case of a fire fight. I suggest everyone close the windows. *is glad he has air supply to get rid of the smoke. makes a mental note not to let them meet my brother*
Sure thing Four Eyes. I am keeping the speed reasonable. This thing is off road capable but i don't want to push it.. *figures any rules Four eyes says as well will help out to*

Quick sits back and just takes in everybody doing what they do to get ready. Figuring that when the drek hits the fan most plans are out the window he decides now may be a good time to summon a little watcher just in case it may come in handy later and the time was available now. Afterwords he kinda just sits back and will rest up a bit enough people here watching what everyone else is up too anyway. However rest is one thing he can sleep later so he just kinda will seem to be daydreaming.
