" "Helena"? Who's her? Some kind of Creature, or some crazy hermit livin' alone in the woods, hunting on unsuspecting people?"

Early morning finds Lucille cranking the engine over and kicking tyres - half n half solids and pneumatics 'stops them blowing out and flipping the bus.. but gives a reasonably soft ride' she explains to any early birds up and about at sparrow-fart (tweet-time, morning)
Anyone else drive a bus ?

OK X meetcha by your mailbox - giz a bell in bout three hours..
Lucille is wearing green army&navy coveralls - they (politely) bulge a little around her backside. She is a big gal.
The small hangar houses bus, workshop and some big snowboards (thermo?) it echoes with the hammering that the engine gives out as she manouvers the vehicle out to the front of Joe's. There is a sting in the air, some sort of reaction of the exhaust with your eyes an nose.
'Fuel alchahol' explains Lucille blowing her own nose 'burns well but not as good as petchems'
The 16 seater with half from the rear removed now stacked up with an assortment of kitbags boxes tube things and some recognisable crates - water, munch-O's, litres of co-op beans, gallons of Heinz ketchup and just visible are some eight 24x slabs of Double Diamond - imported lager..
'Find yerselves a seat folks - hop your gear on the racks, we've got to get through the Barrens - nearly a two mile stretch, we're not taking the tollroad onto the '90 this bus is the sort of target the star just love to pull over and colect their brown-nosing promotion points for.
Anyone a full citizen ? you could save us the hard ride through town - if you have a good explaination ready at the toll hardpoints.
Guys, I'm here to drive, you're here to get the weasles off our backs, anyone shoots at us, return fire - keep their heads down, anyone tries to board us, blow em away- coz theyve got to be crazies. All the front four have heavy plastic plating pannels, I think the windows should be heavy too.
She guns the engine a few times and it audiably settles down - the smartparts getting used to alchahol and compensating.
'There's a raiser-rack up back for any bikes - or you can ride, point or dust..

(OOC - the tollroad is part of a complex of an overzooms - manned by star- style customs posts, some 6 - 7 zooms feeding out to the route 90 strip, sometimes the snipers or crazies get a bead over the high 'crete walls and a route is blocked for hours. Route 90 is some five, three and four lane strips carrying a lot of commercial traffic in and out of Seattle. All toll roads are corp property, and subject to corp security. It is a bitter bone of contention for hauliers... 'Kiss the Ass ..Pay the Tax')

I will continue this run and pick people up and drop em off, no problem... I know how hard it is to have to pump in a reply each and every day ! - but put it this way, any less, removes your interest..
THE BUS WILL BE AROUND AS A VEHICLE IF YOU WANT TO JUMP ONBOARD - OR HAVE TO LEAVE SUDDENLY (eek capitals? - shows i'm not a touch typist)
- if you have a difficult time ahead - this is merely a pastime - it's just 'stuff' that bumps into your REAL life. Hail it down if you want to get on board - hey, if you have faster typyin skills than me, why not take over in a little while! Thats all I am doing! - Wolflet59

BBBWWWAAAPPP!!! the bus begins to move off...
From the drivers perch Lucille barfs into the bus mike
ladies and Gents please get settled to repel borders, We will be passing through the Barrens district of Seattle and can expect some turbulence from this delicate neighbourhood - 'less anyone has some bright ideas...
(OOC)anyone who is anyone can now grab a place onboard... unless your ticket only collects you from Pleasantville... some- 70-80 miles east of Seattle (If you dont know wherethat will land you, then you may just recognise the very pointy mountains that sort of CASCADE down towards the roads in a bundle of small communities populated by close communities of orcs an shorter folk, Oh an bigger ones, mostly carrying clubs.

Say hello to the folks on the bus --- Wheres everyone sitting? Left side or Right side - it may be important if some fragger sprays the bus with lead... from the side...
Lucille has already used the back end of a monkey-wrench to test the pits inthe windscreen, and they seem to be bulletproof fine (according to the wrench test...)
She squzzles the dial - and out blares, Doom -peddy Dooom -peddy.. Where on the rowad to knowwhare Doompeddy isint it grand.. A little adjustment, some twizzling of the jacks and the bus has it's internal heart ripped from it, all you hear is the dull batter of the engine .
Anyone with windows wide can hear the FULL voice of the engines (there are two..) wind whistling past an the echo of the engine(s) bouncing back off the buildings.
Poop-poop! This motion aint stoppin till Pleasantville - cept for a a-pal-o-mine laffs Lucille like she remembers some kiddie stuff.... Palomine Lotion! she hollars ... hah!
Jeeze, why the hellare we here... crosses a bundle of minds...

She hands you the new FOE membership cards (Friends Of the Earth) attaching one onto her overall pocket, heaves into gear and pulls into the light traffic
'Always a good feeling starting a trip!
A few twists and turns later brings the bus up to the start of the overzooms, she bears left instead through a high-fenced industrial zone grey blocks set up against the overzoom background. The traffic has become noticably lighter- just a few vehicles around here, mainly haulage wagons. Turn beneath the crete strip overhead past wide supporting legs, slight darkness hides lean-to's huddling in the zooms undrebelly.
'Road weaves under this lot' Lucille tells Four-Eyes 'Theres usually some sort of trouble.. spoke too soon.. see that kid givin it legs... we have to head across then back over to the left where he is headed. I will keep us moving whatever happens..'
It doesnt take much to spot a bunch of spugs up ahead pushing a car out from behind a skip onto the road to partially block it.. - two stand next to a brazier taking bottles from a crate..
theres a few rounds to go before youll be in the thick of it... what do you want to do..?
Statements and reactions please (I'll use the reactions for the first proper round - when it arrives)
If you want to take pot-shots at long range from a bus window, youve gotta be good!
