Baboon Shaman
Environment: urban, jungle, mountain.
Advantages: +1 dice to Detection, Healing and Manipulation Spells, Baboon is a Nomadic creature and as such can choose one rural Nature Spirit Type receiving +1 Dice to Summon Spirits of that type.
Disadvantages: baboon is both curious and stubborn so his followers suffer these flaws, Baboon is a family creature and will go to extraordinary lengths to protect his pack, however Baboon does not fly into a blind rage so he will withdraw if wounded. Due to this curiosity and protectiveness a Baboon Shaman must make a Will roll TN# 10 minus half any Wound Blocks taken to break off combat or TN 6 to stop any activity that catches their attention.
Baboon is also used to exerting his authority, in any social gathering (A Party or Meeting a new runner team) the Shaman will attempt to take the leadership role unless an established leader is already present, in which case Baboon will happily sit back and follow.
If a leader is not present Baboon must make a Will Roll TN# 8 to resist becoming dominant.
Habits: baboon is a social or pack animal and they usually live & work in family units. Within these Units they obey a strict pecking order where the most powerful male is the alpha and his word is law. The remaining males are followers acting as soldiers, the Beta Males will remain in this role as long as they are not expected to take orders from some one weaker than themselves. If the shaman is the alpha then he will take whatever steps necessary to protect his pack from outside interference or threats, however if a stronger leader emerges from within the pack he will not be opposed. He also holds himself responsible for any mishaps that befall the pack. Urban Baboon shaman will spend a lot of time socializing with their extended family/Packs.
Fox
Fox is elusive and cunning,while his intentions are often noble, he is not above using treachery and intrigue to attain his goals.
Environment anywhere in the Wilderness,
Advantages: +2 dice to Detection and Illusion Spells; +2 dice for conjuring any one Spirit of the Land (Shaman's choice).
Disadvantages: Fox hates to be outwitted; +1 to all Target Numbers (magical and non magical) against, or in the presence of, someone who has recently gotten one up on him. The only way to clear this is for the Fox Shaman to again best his clever rival. of course, this can escalate...
Frog
Frog Characteristics: Frog is a healer. His croaking sings of harmonious life, and calls to the Thunder Beings to bring cleansing rains to the earth.
Environment In and around fresh water.
Advantages: +2 dice forall Health Spells; +2 dice for conjuring Lake and Swamp Spirits; +2 dice for conjuring Wind Spirits.
Disadvantages: Frog is a passive creature, preferring to sit on a log and wait for his Prey to get close enough to strike at, Subtract one die from Combat and Detection Spells.
Lizard
Lizard Characteristics: Lizard is lazy, and takes action only when he really has to. He prefers to lie in the sun and contemplate the nature of reality. As such, he is a wise counsellor, privy to many secrets. Lizard is also a wise healer of no small talents.
Environment Anywhere in the Wilderness.
Advantages: +2 dice for Healing,illusion, and Detection Spells; +2 dice to the Astral Pool.
Disadvantages: Lizard does not like to fight subtract one die from all Combat Spells. At night, and in cold weather, Lizard Shamans suffer a +1 to all Target Numbers due to increased lethargy.
