Taken from Weapons of Anime
Name: Brass Catcher Conceal: -- (can go up to -5, yes -5) Weight: 0.5 Avail: 6/36 hrs. Cost: 25 Nuyen St Index: 0.5 Legal: Legal Notes: A Brass catcher is a cloth bag that fits over a weapon's ejection port and catches expended casings. The price of the bag is negligeable, the cost is for the clamps that keeps the bag attached to the gun. Attaching a brass catcher onto a gun takes about 30 minutes. It can hold up to 50 casings before it needs to be emptied. Because of it's nature, a brass catcher imposes a -1 to conceal. for every 10 rounds expended.
Name: Slide Lock Conceal: -- Weight: 0.1 Avail: 6/36 hrs. Cost: 50 nuyen St Index: 1 Legal: Legal Notes: A slide lock keeps a semi-automatic's slide from moving. While this prevent a weapon from reloading itslef, it also keeps a slide from making excess noise when a gunshot is silenced. Engaging and disengaging a slide requires a Simple Action, as does manually reloading a weapon after a slide-lock shot. ( Because of a slide lock, a chamber will contain an empty cartridge instead of a fresh round until it is reloaded)
By Themselves, slide locks have no effect other than hampering a weapon. When used with silencers however, they add an additional +1 to Perception Tests to hear a gunshot. Slide locks can be retrofitted into semi-automatic slide-based pistols only, and disable burst-fire or full-auto modes. slide locks does not affect a firearm's conceal.

just thought id let u know that a slide lock in reality would lock the slide to the rear of the weapon and not to the front because the mechinsim that moves the slide to the rear is the gas from the round being fired off and would not remain foward with a spent shell in the chamber instead it would lock the slide and the bolt to the rear already having ejected the spent round leaving the chamber empty, but unlocking the slide lock would automaticly load another round into the chamber all in one simple action, but as i said that is in reality (i was in the army for 4 years and just got out in may and im still in the reserves as an MP so i do know these things) but anyway its just a game so have fun

Well it's more for the quickdraw during battle, quick draw is counted as a simple action, (you quick draw and fire), but you get a penality, since you don't really use your skill more your guts instinct.
And mwiland, that's pretty much the idea had about slide locks, like the cheap dart pistol in MGS 2.

Err.. .. can I ask where you've got the penalty for quickdrawing from?.. cause.. as far as I'm aware.. there isn't one.. you just need to make a reaction test and if you succeed.. ... you fire as normal. (pg 107)
And for the slide lock, if the slide makes extra noise.. and just silencing that small amount gets an extra +1 .. what about with silence single shot rifles?.. would they get a +1 innately?

Well I guess since there's no penality for quickdraw, you get a -1 TN for it, and a -1 TN for combat.
Refelx sights, use an aircraft-style HUD, there's a bright red dot that illuminates on a small transparent screen, since it does not intefere with the user's POV, you can use it with both eyes open. To put it simply, it's like a laser sight, but there's no actual laser, only the user see the red dot, so that's why you can't use it with a laser sight (since it count as one) or smartlink (since you see where the bullet goes)
As for slide lock, you can only get them on semi-automatics weapons, since you need to reload everytime with a SS rifle, there' no real need for the slide lock system

I know there wouldn't be slide locks on a single shot rifle... but my point is.. if the slide lock on a normal SA makes a whole -1 to perception tests.. it would seem odd that guns without one wouldn't innately get a bonus.. ..
