I've been "running" for about 7 years now. Started with 3rd Edition (I can make some marvalous shamans and sammies) and more recently working with 4th edition. Unfortunately, all my 3rd ed. books were stolen... wtf steals shadowrun books? Anyway, I'd love to find a group to run with. I've been doing D&D for the past 2 years and it's driving me NUTS. I gotta get my SR fix!

Welcome to the mix. If you need help with character generation, bug Braddoc. He's an old geezer long in the tooth who just sits around all day and gums his bunny. No really its a live bunny, he's just demented in the noggin For mostly legal 3rd character gen NSRCG is a good program.

Hey man you looking for a third ed game, I could use a ring in for a campaign. Already started the first run, but some of my players have left the boards since. Particularly looking for muscle and magic; got a reliable rigger and not much for those of the matrix persuasion. Oh, and about 2 months ago, our place got broken into, and our 3rd ed main book stolen. Granted, it was in the bottom of a bag in which the thief stowed most of our small electronics, so it wasn't really a target.... still, I feel your pain. Check out "http://theshadowrun.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=12" for the story so far; though it started for setup in the universal game room in "So, you're standing in a bar..." Catch you round

I'm looking at re-buying SR3 books. Which ones do you recommend? I USED to have: Shadowrun 3rd, M&M, MitS, Matrix, and the companion for 3rd ed. ooooh, this is CyberInfantry, btw.

im trying to adapt the books onto this site without violating any laws... I would say that the best to at least start with is the main book, then Man & Machine/Matrix or Magic depending on what kind of character you build the most... shop around though (ebay or amazon) you d be amazed how cheap you can pick them up now... BTW welcome to the board.. always nice to see new faces

Rigger 3 can make a handy purchase as well. Personally, I dont generally play a rigger, but if you want anything other than an off the rack car to tool around in, rigged or not, its a must.

Well you gotta get the Core book. I recommend heading to Ebay, where you can get the old editions for cheap. You can also head over to Limewire and download soft copies. Though if you want to pay for soft copies, there's DriveThruRPG.com. They even have 3rd Edition Quickstart Rules for free.
