Just thought I'd drop in and say Hi, see if anyone else was from down my way and all that bollocks.
Don't have a character yet, but I'm in the mood for a diminutive troll shaman. It'll have to wait till I get home from work, though. Don't have any of my books with me.
Anywho, have a good one, and I'll catch you round.

As far as I know you're the first, mate. Lot's of Brits and Canadians here though and of course Americans.
No problem on the books, if you need help that's what the character specialists are for. You need anything on your walk about, sing out loud and clear.

Anyways, welcome to the boards, got a question or anything, just ask away.

No questions as of yet. Just PM'd my first character on in - he's a bit of a wannabe, but I like the idea of not playing a min-maxxed hardcore pro every single time out of the box. I assume he'll be posted in the new characters bit soon - fairly straightforward character creation, all straight out of the main book (didn't want to lump all my sourcebooks into work with me), but he should prove an interesting character, even if only as a bit of background.

Once you send a character up for approval you can start looking for a job in the UGR (Universal Game Room) You can enter an existing thread or make one of your own and see if you can attract some attention. No need to hang around waiting.

Nah, reckon I'll lurk a little more, till I get the hang of the whole idea. I've played a lot of Shadowrun, but never online before. Might try my hand at finding myself some gainful employment on the weekend, when I'm off work

Nothing wrong with that at all. Gives you time to go into the different rooms and read some of the game threads. That way you get a handle on what's happening. You will discover that the games work in different ways and the GM's have different styles of play. Look it over carefully.

Google--> Wikipedia--> Here. Was looking for some info on totems (trying to get a character done without my books), tried out Wiki, and they had a link, I believe.

Glad I could help. Welcome to the board. If you have magic question you can ask me first since the corps are over worked. Also It's perfectly legal to keep a pdf vesion of your book in a CD if you own the book. You can scan it yourself or download one someone else has already scanned.
