I thought the run would involved saving the Hersey factory...not having more reason to blow it up and sent it to hell.

I told the Fatman about this thread since he hasn't been out here in a while, busy upgrading his server is the excuse he gave us. I suspect the Fatman would hire you on behalf of Hershey to take out Nestle. I can see it now. Anyway, here is what he wrote me back. The Chocolate Maltese Falcon
Announcement: Mr Johnson # 1900 has approached Krass/Drassel and Associates on behalf of Hershey Corporation to quietly seek Shadow runners to recover the Chocolate Maltese Falcon located at the Nestle/Wonka corporation in Abu Dhabi. The corporation is subcontracting this to any interested runners. The Falcon is said to contain not only this highly priced work of art but in a secret compartment it has a formula for the; 'Ultimate Formula for Male Success with Woman'.
This prestigious trophy is protected by toxic Umpa Lompa's as well as Code Red Security forces. Security for the installation is handled by Diligence LLC. Interested members should apply to Mr Johnson of the Shadow run Proboards for negotiation.

You could select a GM and then post this with your link on the Quotefile and then get ready to run the game. It would be interesting to see if you could get it and how will you get that Panther Assault Cannon onto the Sub-orbital?

Heck, you guys take this on and I'll even provide some of the research info. I'll bet the others would as well. I'll alert Eon. We'll make Krass pay for it, he would want the formula anyway. I suspect outside of supplying this setup and the money Mr Johnson would have total control of setting up the facility, security and running of the game. We would supply backup, funding, supply, documents, and final payment and delivery with legal aid where needed. All we would need past that point is the results. Catch this: I knew if the Fatman listed a Security Company that there would be something on it. ;D
Overview
Diligence LLC (http://www.diligencellc.com/index.html) was formed by past members of the CIA and Britain's MI5 Intelligence Services. They have included experts in international law, journalism and intelligence services from post-Cold War which enables them to vet all sorts of future investment projects while providing security advice. They are related to New Bridge Strategies, sharing addresses and many of the same board members.
Diligence first set up in Baghdad in July 2003. They started by providing payroll protection and delivery, personnel and facilities security, due diligence on potential Iraqi business ventures, training and management of personal security forces, and intelligence briefs.
The success of the business led to the development of the subsidiary, Diligence Middle East, LLC, a partnership with the American company New Bridge Strategies and the Al-Mal Investment Company, a Kuwaiti company chaired by Mohammed Al-Sagar, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Kuwaiti parliament.[1] (http://www.corporatewatch.org.uk/news/mercenery.htm) The new partnership provides clients with a range of services through out the Middle East and especially in Iraq.[2] (http://www.diligencemiddleeast.com/dme_iraq.html)
Said founder and CEO Mike Baker of the new company, "We are able to provide the highest quality information and security work available in Iraq because we have a core staff of more than 150 Iraqis with local knowledge, operating as full time project managers, security trainers, intelligence officers and security staff. By doing so, we are creating a solid, long-lasting, truly Iraqi company with a vested interest in its own success.”[3]This from Eon: The contact onsite at Abu Dhabi will be:
"He's walking into that drugstore...he's stepping onto the scales...(SNICK! CLICK!) Weight: 266 pounds...Fortune: Danger! Whoooo is it? The...Fat Man! Anyway here is what I weaseled out of him for my part of the contribution."
In 1539, the Knights Templar of Malta, paid tribute to Charles V of Spain, by sending him a Golden Falcon encrusted from beak to claw with rarest jewels- - - - - but pirates seized the galley carrying this priceless token and the fate of the Maltese Falcon remains a mystery to this day. In the year 2006 The Hershey Corporation sent to Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles a rare and priceless replica made in the finest chocolate to the royal couple for their wedding celebration. Inside was rumored to be a priceless formula created by company known as the Herbal Powers Store. The Alpha Male Ultimate Formula is a fast acting, revolutionary scientific formulation of standardized herbal extracts designed as a 100% natural, safe alternative to PDE-5 inhibitor drugs and Yohimbine based products. Due to great advances in phyto-chemical research and extraction technology, these active ingredients are concentrated to enhance the speed of efficacy and bioavailability. The replica though was hijacked in mid flight by what were considered to be a group of terrorists believed to be hired by the snubbed Nestle corporation although this was never comfirmed.

Well, I'll tell you what Fatman said to Patterson and I years ago when we raised the same issue.
Fatman, "How do you get the experience and ability then? You get it by trying my friends. Sure it may turn into a stinker of a game but you learn from even the stinkers. Do you think every game I run is an instant winner? Some concepts start off looking good and turn to drek fast."
Several tournaments later where he had us run games we learned that we could make a pretty good effort when we try. We just like playing more than running. Now Fatguy is a storyteller and likes making games for others to enjoy. You already have the city background and contacts. All you have to do is make a facility and a the bad guys and turn the players loose. Let them be concerned about winning or losing. Don't pass up a chance for a good game, the facilty plans can easily be gotten from almost any factory type setting so all you really have to worry about is putting in the Security.

Excellent! More research Information for you! Remember the Toxic Ompa Lompa's? I weaseled this from Fatboy.GREENPEACE BARRICADES NESTLE FACTORY TO STOP GE CONTAMINATION: ACTIVISTS CHAINED TO ENTRANCE TO PREVENT GE PRODUCTS HITTING THE MARKET
28 May 2063
Abu Dhabi - More than 10 Greenpeace activists chained themselves to the entrance of Nestle factory in Abu Dhabi in a pre-dawn action today to prevent its products from leaving the compound and getting into the market in order to "halt genetically engineered food contamination" in Abu Dhabi. Greenpeace decided to "close" Nestle this morning after the company repeatedly broke its promise to phase out GE ingredients in its food products.
In 1999, Greenpeace found two Nestle products - a fresh soya milk and a beancurd dessert both marketed under the brand Fack Yu - to contain GE ingredients, Monsanto's Roundup Ready-Soya. This year, Fak Yu fresh soya milk has again been found to contain the same GE ingredients in two separate tests while another Nestle product - Fak Yu Hi-calcium Life Soya Milk - also has GE materials.
In a letter to Greenpeace, dated 8 February, 2000, Nestle stated: " For Nestle in Abu Dhabi, a majority of our products do not contain GMO ingredients. We are in the process of substituting GMO derived ingredients in any remaining products where possible…" In the same correspondence, it said "…we support a responsible use of gene technology but will refrain from using GMO derived ingredients where consumers are reluctant to accept."
"Nestle has reneged on its promise to go GE-free and it has also contradicted its own corporate business principles that it will not use GE ingredients if consumers do not want it. In a survey conducted in October 1999, more than 80% of respondents said they would prefer non-GE food if given a choice while 95% demanded a labeling system. People in Abu Dhabi clearly do not want GE food but are still being forced to accept it. Greenpeace wants this to stop right now," said Mohammed Fahrer of Greenpeace Abu Dhabi.
In today's action, activists were chained to the front gate of the Nestle plant while a vehicle was parked at the back to block the rear entrance in order to blockade the factory to prevent its daily distribution from taking place. A banner which read "No more lies. No more GE food" was displayed at the front entrance. The environmental group also made a satirical modification of Nestle's internationally recognizable logo by depicting one of the birds with " a long Pinocchio nose".
" At present, there is no labeling system in place in Abu Dhabi and Nestle, which claims to be the world's largest food company, has been lying through its teeth about a GE phase out. Because nobody is willing to do something constructive to protect public health, Greenpeace has decided to step in to barricade Nestle in order to stop GE food from hitting the market and contaminating Hong Kong, even just for a day," added Fahrer.
" Some Nestle baby food products in Abu Dhabi are also found to have GE ingredients but Nestle in some countries in Europe have already gone GE free. Nestle is obviously applying double standards in the Middle East by dumping GE food in this part of the world. This kind of trade practice is despicable, immoral and unethical," said Fahrer.
Greenpeace opposes genetic manipulation of food because of its possible danger to the environment and human health. There are concerns that GE foods may trigger new allergic reactions, affect antibiotic treatment, or alter nutritional value. Krass, to Ronilion, "Hmm, we might be able to procure additional funding if we let Greenpeace also hire us to hit the factory and we could approach several Middle East organizations as well. If we get the statue first then we could then authorize the Runners to level the place. It could set Nestle back quite a bit. Check this from Patterson:Nestlé built its Pure Life factory and surrounding wall in the area of high risk an aquifer, contrary to UCAS Law (DNPM 231/98). Trees close to Nestlé's bore hole (from which it was pumping over half a million liters per day) are dying.Krass: OK Got, this from Drassel: The first half of the 1990s proved to be a favorable time for Nestlé: trade barriers crumbled and world economic markets developed into a series of more or less integrated trading areas. The opening of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as China, and a general trend toward liberalization of direct foreign investment was good news for a company with interests as far-flung and diverse as Nestlé. While progress since then has not been as encouraging, the overall trends remain positive.
Consolidation since 1996 has been demonstrated by the acquisition outright of the Italian mineral water concern San Pellegrino (1997), the acquisition of Spillers Petfoods of the UK (1998), and also with the decision to divest the Findus brand in order to concentrate on high added-value frozen food products (1999). Since then, Ralston Purina was acquired (2002) and the petcare business is now joint world leader and known as Nestlé Purina PetCare. In the same year, the former Perrier Vittel water business was re-named Nestlé Waters, recognizing the fact that the dynamic bottled water business accounts for a growing share of Group sales.
Nestlé opened the 20th century by merging with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company to broaden its product range and widen its geographical scope. In the new millennium, Nestlé is the undisputed leader in the food industry, with more than 470 factories around the world and sales of more than CHF 81 billion. In July 2000, Nestlé launched a Group-wide initiative called GLOBE (Global Business Excellence), aimed at harmonizing and simplifying business process architecture; enabling Nestlé to realize the advantages of a global leader while minimizing the drawbacks of size.
There have also been two major acquisitions in North America, both in 2002: in July, Nestlé announced that the U.S. ice cream business was to be merged into Dreyer's, and in August, a USD 2.6bn acquisition was announced of Chef America, Inc. , a leading U.S.-based hand-held frozen food product business. This came in from JoAnne, Mr. Johnson, you might find it useful. She says the Fatman was right again. If you look at the pictures you discover that Nestle does OWN Wonka. It looks like you have an excellent briefing package so far, Maps, History and some ways to come at the place either disguised as terrorists or Greenpeace, so far. Now let's see, Your runners will want to know the pay, we leave rewards of Rep and such to you.images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=Nestle+Factory+&btnG=SearchEon, "Mr Johnson, Krass/Drassel and Associates have come to you as a fixer to procure a Shadowrun Team to acquire/recover the Chocolate Maltese Falcon from the Nestle Facility in Abu Dhabi. You have complete discretion and control of all aspects of the run and runners. here are the parameters of the run.1.) Nu Yen will be issued to you through Zurich Orbital Corporate Script in the amount of 1.5 million Nuyen. This money will be used to hire competent runners and to pay you a fee of 15% for your work. We require competent runners taking all reasonable and prudent steps to insure the success of the 'recovery'. We also request, but do not insist, for at least two levels of backup for the runners if the first group should fail or need additional talent.
2.) You may inform the runners they will be working on our behalf but we reserve the right to not inform them who we are working for. We have supplied initial information and will charge a fee from the runners if they require more. We suggest they research their target well through your agency and acquire any other needed items through you. If they request more from us we will charge additionally.
3.) A 20% bonus will be given if the facility is destroyed after the acquisition of the item. If another agency is blamed for the crime a 10% bonus will be given. If no clues are left tracing the runners back to you a 5% bonus will be given. Time frame for the run to be completed is not required. You have time to accomplish this run with no deadlines. If you require additional services please contact me at the normal drop point in the Humor Section for Krass/Drassel and Associate. Thank You.Ronilion final note. "Mr. Johnson the Fatman reminded me that the Falcon may or may not be at the facility at your choice. He states the security and problems the runners encounter will be totally up to you. If the runners have problems you may either supply them with contacts or call upon us but any aid the Retro's give will come off their bottom line, not yours. Good Luck if you decide to steer your group in that direction and lets hope your runners accept the challenge and make a killing!"

Eon, "Mr. Johnson, you personally do not have to do the run. You could give the other GM's opportunity to aid you by all of you 'jointly' designing a facility and security. The parts the runners manage to discover could be filled out and placed on-line. This way all the GM's could get the opportunity and prestige to win and they would all have copies of the facility to use as they please. Another words, you could subcontract this to all your GM's and give the team (and GM) that completes it first the appropriate Karma and Prestige! I am sure Brown Dragon would love to place some of the main security. Why not have each GM design five rooms of the facility from the Transport receiving docks, to the research and storage lab to the high security area. One person could handle outside Security. The only thing you might want to be sure is that the runners will need at least three stated ways per 5 room area of discovering the some of the information for that particular area. Let's take the outside area for instance. 1.) The outside area could be watched and some security routines observed so any obvious security there could be discovered by watching runners. 2.) One of the Defiance guards is open to bribery and will sell out and either provide information on outside security or for a larger fee will make an 'opening' for the runners to get in. 3.) Old satellite photo's of the site exist and can be procured from the City Offices at Abu Dhabi, cheaply. They aren't worth much but will show some of the layout changes.
Then all you have to do is place the Security around the facility: This is pretty much standard. Electrified Fence: Guard Towers every 50 yards with two guards per tower. Top of the fence has strung razor wire. Interior grounds have heat and motion sensors. Guard Dogs and Hell hounds on patrol. Rounds by five guards made every hour at staggered intervals. Roof Top missile launchers and anti aircraft emplacements. Guards are armed with Fabrique Nationale Assault Rifles and Body armor, have low light glasses and communications. The leader has one random rolled cyber enhancement. Save the Ompa Lompa's for the High Security Storage Vault.
Then you only have to make a list of Responses for certain scenarios.
The building design for the run should go quickly then.

Several of us are registered, Xtreme chummer. We just aren't telling you who we are. Now if you GUESS who we are that's another story.
As for what we gave you being a secret? We have more respect and higher expectations of your players than THAT. You guys been pretty good so far, let's see them go balls to the wall in real combat biking competition!
Besides: (as the Fatman remarked when I told him your comment.)
"We didn't really give anything away. The interior will be most dangerous because of the way buildings are constructed and interiors can easily be changed. Any good team would figure out that much SECURITY concerning the EXTERIOR in the first 30 minutes of game just from looking, watching and questioning. It's the unexpected things (random rolled) you hide among the usual drek that will give them fits. You know like that sudden PRACTICE ALERT that goes off just as they cut their way through the fence? Will the team run wondering if they failed a roll or will they figure it out when they see the guards going to the wrong part of the fence? It would certainly test their 'coolness' factor under fire. Is combat discipline high or will they 'busta' cap at the first opportunity? I can tell the players this now knowing that my fellow GM's are no less insidious and will most assuredly come up with other alternatives, after all they are GM's aren't they?"
Way to go Xenomarch, never leave a wallet behind and be sure to collect interest and a finders fee when you get it back from those fraggers. Chummer, grab Wolflet, Sabosect, Krondax and a few others and kick the drek out of this caper. It's worth it for the money but better yet, it's worth it for the rep! Make those BONES!

Blimey! thats a heap of detailed intro work - my twoppenceworth.. - like the idea of different people provide the security -
you need to come to an arrangement with the accountants as to how much security is need and how much is want, and phase out accordingly re the risk assessment on loss of facility and company productivity.
ie rocket launchers on the roof - what size? what are they intended to stop.. hell hounds would scare the doo doo out of even top notch guard dogs. Shouldnt be mixed.. needs someone to be the accountanct department with a red pencil and the draft security details.
(kidnap the accountant)
