Continuing down I-5 South/I-90 East, Tank mergers onto I-5 South
towards the Sea-Tac Airport and maintains a general course towards
the Complex. Looking over at Hellions as he examines his wounds Tank
shouts, "Trek! Anyone got a doc on tap? Or a healing spell, Star?"
In his best southern drawl, Bang in response to Tank's excited
comment, "We all got it coming kid."
Star's normally placid expression flashes annoyance. Her hand had
already been reaching towards Hellion as Tank cursed. "If you drive
quietly, we can help Hellion", Star snaps. "But it requires more
concentration for us since he is mostly dead normally." Without
waiting for a reply, Star places her hand upon Hellion's shoulder
and stares intently towards the front seat. At first her eyes glow
but dimly, then slowly coalesces into a bright silvery light.
Continuing in with his southern drawl, softly as not to disrupt
Star's concentration, "When confronted by superior numbers, an
experienced gunfighter will always fire on the best shot first." In
his normal voice Bang adds, "I sure hope you make it Hellion, you
took a hell of a shot in the back. I saw the whole thing, it was
quite a gruesome sight." Bang shutters at the thought as the memory
flashes in his mind, and then resumes his familiar silent pose.
With a slight sign of discomfort, Hellion opens up the bottle of
saki and takes a swig. "Clean the wound from the inside...not
planning on leaving yet...."
Relaxing into calm, Tank nods in agreement. The car decelerating
into a steadier pace. Looking off for a moment, Tank adds, "Eta 63
minutes."
Soon the interior of the Westwind is filled with light, as if the
moon itself were present, as Star continues to concentrate on
healing Hellion's wounds. Suddenly, Star's wrist begins to ring.
As the phone rings, Star keeps her concentration on Hellion. Bang
glances back and forth between Star and her wrist phone, "Star, you
going to get that, or do you want me to answer it?"
Tank seems to be focused at the task at hand, while Hellion sits
quietly sucking down his liquid pain medication.
Sounding very distant, Star answers her phone with an audio command
for a conference call. Quietly, with only a hushed `buzz' sound, the
visual display pops up on her phone.

"Star, are you there?" Monk says in a normal, but not jovial, tone.
"We are mostly here," Star replies distantly. "You may speak to us.
Bang, Tank and Hellion can hear you too."
"You sound a bit distracted. I am on my way to Sgt Vollers office to
give my statement about an attack on me that just went down at my
dock." Taking a deep breath and letting it out, "One of the security
personnel was killed in the attack. Anyway, I just wanted to let you
know that it will be a little while before I can get back to you,
but will do so soon. Everything ok with you?"
"Oh my god, you too," Bang asks excitedly. "We were just attacked as
well, not more then a few minutes ago. If she sounds distracted its
because she's trying to close a gapping hole in Hellion's gut. We
had to leave the others behind to try and get the limo going.
Luckily Tortuga was nearby, we're in his car headed back to base."
"That is interesting." Monk says into the phone.
"I still have a guest joining me, but will call you later to make
arrangements to meet and talk. Should your situation change and you
need my presence, give me a ring."
"Certainly," Star replies after a moment, her attention still
focused on Hellion.
"I'm not a fan of coincidence," Tank adds as he keeps his attention
focused on the road ahead of him.
Hellion continues to tend to his wounds quietly, sucking down saki
in hopes of easing his pain, as he continues to twitch
involuntarily.
With a hushed moan, Star releases her grip on Hellion's shoulder and
collapses back into her seat, the silver glow rapidly fades from her
eyes, replaced by a flushed color in her cheeks and beads of sweat
beading up on her forehead.
Suddenly Hellion's shakes subside, his face slowly regains its
natural color, as lifeblood flushes back into his system.
"Ok Monk, will do. Take care of yourself," Bang adds with an obvious
concerned tone in his voice.
