Shade is stuck in a banishing contest with the elemental.
Conjuring: 5 TN:6 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]
(wolflet say.. this is for Next round, you miss .. it gets [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6]
whittling you down to Magic of 1 you sway with the essence being leached from you by this powerful entity, hoping the troll will batter it while you have done the hard work of distraction... and suffered for it.
see the troll attack by Micro just down the page - you narrowly avoid being banished yourself![rand=8288680661065435689929036445871686607042463896838385024002280593]

Peaches dodges out of the way of the Elemental's attack, throwing himself to the side to avoid the rocky psuedopod that lashes out at him.
Using all of CP to dodge: [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]
Ro6: [dice=6][dice=6]
(Wolflet say.. bloody good combat manouver.. use your pool to dodge - it is much easire than trying to block it or absorb a 12S have a karma for a really good idea against BIG nasties as the dodge is against 4s +/- modifiers. Problem is at some point you may run out of pool and be forced to go toe to toe.)[rand=95700397404006962597453026756832982023184675831417026982530927193]

Phase 2 of round 1 coming up soon - the ellies keep their current dicerolls, Shade is battling and loses the round and is down to magic 4 (next phase you get the stuffing knocked out of you and it will be down to 1)
Peaches has stabbed at it - and it bettered him last turn, causing Peaches to full dodge to avoid it wonder what he will do now?
Quick connected, but couldnt drive the blade through
Meg missed and was lucky to not get slammed - and has used up this turn shouting out advice
Chuck and Four-Eyes..
Chuck just missed in phase 1 but he does not get his own attack in phase 2, the elly does though.. 34455556 as you have to go defensive you get +1 and the +3 reach, I may suggest to put +2 onto it so only one 6 gets through and put the rest onto your reply - as long as you can beat it's one success you could contact it! TN12 down to 10?
Four Eyes dodged the first attack and now he too has 34455556 coming in the +1+1machette will bring this down to one hit same as Chuck, but it will be harder to get the TN12 for you.
Micro unleashes another barrage that would under ordinary circumstances drop a rhino (not that there are any outside of secure zoological research centres nowadays, to drop) - and the ground takes the damage - not that anyone but the mages notice.
Micro's troll is getting a free stab at the elemental that Shade has transfixed.. Micro you have a trollfull of attack to do you get +1 for extra in combat, +1 reach +1 sabre so atotal of +3 modifier to your troll attack. again the elly will be getting 12223455 reply - you can avoid all damage by using +2 of this or hope to get three hits at 9s so a natural 6 will hit!
This does allow you to gauge your opponent, and either defend its attack - or put in a massive strike trying to blow down its defences.
This is a lot to run through - it is difficult to start - but gets easier as you all see how it works.

The Troll will play it save and use 2 of his reach for defence only 1 for attack.
"Turn to dust you useless rock" The troll sputters out as he does his best to beat this pile of clay.
(OOC Use my last rolls for round 2 and let me know when I roll for round 3 so I don't get to far ahead of everyone. Thanks Wolf.)
(OOC wolflet say.. the +2 on defence will negate the ellies attack -you force it away at sabre length and you have a 566 rolled including the +1 and +1 reach gives a 788 so three dice to hit it [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6]
one connects with a 10S and one success from you
I rolled its soak before, -pudding mix rather than rocks
-your S tickles its tonsils! this will be enough to kill it off in its weakened state.. and also save Shade from getting his psychic energies fried..!
So a karma and brownie points to the troll - and one to Shade too for being present in the fight. Shade now has a magic of 4 it will come back! Another valid tactic for keeping the things occupied while someone big and tough hoofs it in the goolies. another Karma to Shade for the use of Banishing - dangerous but it worked![rand=2269784253959046323770327690904693483404912244606506923740172139548]

(OOC Wolflet says - some people are getting lost with this fight and juggling plusses and minusses, throwing in vast amount of dice and getting caught up in an avalanche of + - dice etc,
At the end of it all, it really comes down to what you want to do.. I can post the plusses to give you an idea of what you have available and the ellies reactions
You can then just explain what you want to do during the round rather than getting lost in the mechanics.. it will ease a lot of confusion and the awkward mechanics which are getting in the way of playing !
Hooray!
So as it stands
Shade and the troll have dusted elly 3 and can sit back and watch as neither have any more actions this round..
Micro is pelting the things with manabolts - but unless they come out of the ground these bolts are innefective (watch out for casting multiple spells, +2 drain for each one! - so single spells only, or you will drain yourself out)
Meg has shouted out advice - how did the ellies describe you as targets earlier on ? how did they see you ? what could they see? should help..
Four-Eyes and Chuck are on the receiving end, and need to think of their next actions.. even with Peaches and Quick the ellies underground are too well protected to take out
This phase we need to know what Peaches and Quick are up to - full attacks? or do something else?
Four-Eyes and Chuck have options too.. what do you two want to do? Currently you are giving ground to them, backing off as they snap at your ankles - you have an action then they will attack with a result of 34455556, evasive manouvers seem to be the order of the day, backing away from the 12S attacks.
I think it will be a relief for you guys to be back doing things rather than me doing a lot of adjudication of the mechanics. Lets get the game back and running rather than trying to sort out tons of mechanics.
At the door of the cabin Morrow wheelies his bike into the wooden door which cracks and splinters, breaking apart under the hammer-blow from trolland bike - he expects to roar through, but has to control the bike while it is near upright.. he pulls a piece of door away to see the obstruction, and a load of dirt falls out with it.
The things have barricaded the doorway with an earth mound !
The garage doors go in too, the place is near enough emptied - a dozen new plas crates with 'evidence' stamped on them are over on one wall
The troll doing a circuit encounters nothing coming out of doorways or leaning out of windows, seems like the cabin is where it's at!
Just got to get past the ellies in the yard...

(OOC when people next post - can you indicate your preference for
modified RO6 or Natural 6s only
and
whether you want detailed mechanics, or go with story with mechanics you can get extra karma for good rolls with story you get it for good ideas - last thing for this phase 2 is Four-eyes he may have something different to do...
Actually it wont affect anyone else, so phase three..go!
anyone figured out what the ellies could see in the festival? Illiya may know if youre stumped.

((story's more fast-less roll and whatnot..could get things going foward faster than spending a month and a half in combat..))
Four-Eyes will try to get to high grounds, either go to the Rv, or climb on Chuck, the highest thing around. ((I figure that Chuck heard Meg telling F-E to get to high ground))
((In case I have to dodge, evade the ankle grabbing))
[dice=6][dice=6] RO6 [dice=6]
((Crap..))
(OOC Wolflet say I agree- too long spent getting where? three seconds down the line. but people have seen how it works - you can gauge an opponent and take appropiate actions.
There is plenty of barrells and stacks of wood, opened crates and even the garage roof... so no problem getting up off the ground.
The elly seems confused, where did his prey get to? must have gone into the big world, so it will follow you up.. the ground pours a geyser of dirt that builds up from the ground real quick. Humanoid in that it is tall and wide with long arms but a squat headless shoulders with beady twinkling eyes.... and Peaches and Quick behind it..
CHuck will probably follow suit nimbly leaping from upturned wheelbarrow to woodpile - followed out of the earth by the other stony monstrosity
They take a very short time to form - this is in round 2 so anyone who has a couple of actions can attack it Chuck has used up his offensive phases Meg has one left. Four-Eyes ? So these will be the last hacks of the round some may even get all four attacks in. but the ellies are done for turns
they do get a fightback! at 12223455[rand=896166270066454387701983095138923072090528422673980843908541445]

Meg will use her last attack putting it all onto defence so it wont hit her but she gets an unnopposed shot at it..? [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] pool [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] do we need to roll dice any more?
three hits 6M
I like modified RO6 and telling the story. the mechanics are fine for a bit but do get boring. sorry! [rand=016939094416919764774111913615503563198784081243366221213930782288]

Oppone seeing th Elemental appear out of the Earth Micro gets excited. "Great this will make it a bit easyer." Micro thinks as he decides to use his 4 combat passes to blast this Elemental. "If you can get the other one out of the ground it will be easyer to hit." Micro says to the group from his Black Robed Avitar hovering above the group as 4 more Manabolts are unleashed on the Elemental that is no longer hiding underground. (OOC Wolflet say.. fire off one bolt per go, otherwise you will keel over from drain.. you do get 4 goes per combat turn, but not 4 goes for each of your four goes! Giving an order/advice is a go too! ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Troll 1 " Me getting 5 beers now." The Troll says as he trys to drop the Elemental that popped out of the ground. "You next to fall." Troll 1 will use +2 to defence and +1 to offence in hopes of dropping anther Elemental. (OOC oh the Last 4 rolls where my second round rolls I'm fine with natural or modifed 6 and how ever you want to run it I'm just happy to be playing shadowrun. I would say only use the mechanics if you think the characters life depends on it if you want.)

((Yeah..F-E will get to some wood pile-let's say, the cord of wood, on the side of the garage? ('least that where I would put it) Next phase, I'll reach for the roof))
================== With all the actions being elsewhere, the riding Troll kept his '8' going, toward the front of the cabin.
As the elemental drove out of the ground, the biker drove pass near it, swinging his shotgun at him.

Quick will take a shot at the ele that popped up in front of him using all my combat pool that was left since this is my last action before the end of the turn let me know if we need to roll or not and I can not sure what the consensus was.

OOC: I can't keep up with my TN's. I'll just roll and let wolf have it. It is quicker that way.
(OOC Wolflet say..
yup I have stopped going through the mechanics as these posts should be fun rather than a mathematical chore.. easiest way to run it would be to say if you are acting agressively or defensively in melee, and how much pool you want to committ for casting magics. This will keep the story rolling, and I can run some entertaining stuff instead of mounds of TN calculations ! phew* )
