the spell will go off - two and maybe three successes F5 manaball to save against folks!
Ladymage will attempt to avoid Lucilles fists F5 .. but some may get through which could well adjust the drain save..
and Micro has his last pass for the round.. along with resisting the spell
54415 Lucille's resist vs F5, is it enough? Micro has had magical overwatch on, but I think in this case you can use it on either yourself or Lucille but not split it you are too close in the thick of it...
a lot depends on the ladymage's avoidance of the flurry of thumps about to land...

ook! (as the mascot says in Awful Green Things) I used spell defence as allocated to individuals.. but it works like 'dispelling' .. OK I'm happy with that..
Lucille sees the ladymage starting her 'funny biz' and begins to lay into her, fists a-flying in order to stop the mage from casting - could be a fear reaction after the puncture of the mercury canisters...
Lucille doesnt realise that she is not going to disrupt the spell much by this assault - it may make it a bit harder for the mage to drain the spell effect if there is more bruising - but again Lucill is ignorant of that - she sees the threat and lays in..
The spell is successful - it gently bathes the bus interior with it's soothing blanket, silently brushing over everything that can be seen in the bus, Micro is part-covered by the seating, but Hunter and Lucille bask in it's gentle sleepy glow (astral glow)
(Youll get the results of the spell after the mage-ess attempts to avoid the fists of furry - who will be left standing after drain, injury and spell?)
Attempting to draw a bead on her as well, Micro fires another shot - which parts the upholstery of the seating - thumping into the mage as she twists and turns out of the way of the ork sized slaps coming her way.
Looks like there are a few dodges to be made in this scrap on the bus...
Outside the doggies are still closing - I will give you all a better scene once all of the info is in - the sniper does have a positioning advantage, a couple of passes and maybe a move to contemplate in Thunder's ever-tightening kettlestraum..
I dont think that the sniper has contemplated surrender, and wouldnt be able to watch you all even if you did... (hey, ...him not us!)
The SWAT van is about ready to get moving quickly
Is Thunder looking to chase the SWAT van in his RV - or mop up the immediate area?
The mercury vapour could kill the bus occupants quickly.. cant it? (anyone got any chemistry/biochem type knowledge - apart from hearsay on the dangers of mercury? if you dont, then that stuff is well scary)
Looks like the last real round to sew up -

((OOC: Well dig around a bit about mercury and the like...anyways..as such, except in the case of Dimethylmercury ((CH3)2Hg) (Which takes about 0.1 mL can kill in a few hours, or even on the spot if having too much exposure to it) mercury as such, is not immediately fatal..Since I believe we might be carrying 'pure' mercury, which is least toxic (most is the organic compounds, followed by the compounds then the pure element) some exposure would not be that harmful, but prolonged and/or heavy exposure can do irreversible damage to the body. 'Normal' exposure can be treated by specific therapy (Chelation therapy) or natural elimination, even if that won't remove it all...Besides, who haven't used some Mercurochrome when they were kids? Or got some dental work done? Or have a patio made with wood treated with mercury? We're ain't all dead yet...while it is most toxic when the fumes enter the body by the lungs than by skin or the guts, if we don't stay in the bus for an hours breathing hard, we should be ok..worst case, we can get the treatment fast enough..as for patching the holes, well..that might be hard..guess we can always freeze the mercury, making it solid and patch it up...still dunno if the canisters are big enough for the height in volume that'll make.))
((As game term, 'suppose Four-Eyes can know that..his previous explanation about the quicksilver, 'must admit 'never thought of someone actually shootin' the damn canisters..))
Four-Eyes heard the gunshots coming from the bus "You, stay here, don't do somethin' you'll regret, take ti easy don't move." He made the actress sit down, leaning on the van's front tire and made a few steps toward the bus. He looked around the area, seeing that the Ork trucker hiding in the ditch ducked down as the gunshots, now a third one, rang out from the bus interior "GET ON TH'RADIO AND GET TH'COPS!!..FRAGGIN'.." Four-Eyes vaguely motions to Thunder's RV and the logging truck parked on the other side of the bridge, before running toward the bus, weapons at the ready.

mercury-treated patio wood??? Aieee! here in the UK we did away with toxic paints when Queen Victoria popped her clogs - so when your barbie spits out sizzling coals onto the deck you can watch the guests turn green and twitchy..
speaking of twitchy, the ladymage struggles - blocks one slap ducks another and lets go the spell without more bruising...
those mystic traces waft their way around the bus occupants, settling on the people she can see, sending their tendrills deep into their psyche - a very disabilitating effect if it is not resisted. Micro's overwatch has little effect upon it, leaving it up to the individuals to either throw off the effects themselves, or slip into a life-blanketing deep daze....
Lucille shakes her head - something just happened - that prickly sensation ....
Hunter spasms on the floor, he part sneez/coughs out a spray of blood from his nose and from between his teeth, and is still, again, blood warmly dribbling.
Micro understands the wash of mana that flows around him, resisting its effect - he gulps down a large breath - recognising the danger posed by the punctured mercury cannisters..
Lucille readies herself for another bout...
Outside the sniper is looking for some protection - there certainly is cover - under the loggers - nah too low.. the doggies would be better off under there.. a couple of huge tree-stumps would protect his back, the scrub-trees would provide limited visual cover making it difficult for the flydrone to zero in easily.. the SWAT van is within running reach, but Thunder's RV could readily rip the van to shreds..
Stand and fight the metal attack dogs..? shoot the drone.. ah the life of a Shadowrunner is never easy, descisions descisions... whatever is decided upon will take place and finish off this round.. then we will look at a final single detailed round then assess everyones position
Four -Eyes will be looking to run to the bus in this next coming turn...

((Yeah well, the Queen didn't live in Canada, and the lumber industry was pretty strong up until a few years back...Hydro-Quebec also covers all of the electrical poles with mercury...while toxic,it,s a good way to protect the pole from just going stale and falling into pieces...as for running ot the bus, all righty))

are the poles like giant thermometers then - that shrink and grow withthe seasons? In fact - mercury thermometers have been withdrawn now in the UK as kids kept biting on them and going twitchy.. but I stray...
I want to wrap this up over the next week - a conclusion is imminent, it is up to the players to determine what their preferred actions will be and I shall use your last couple of detailed actions and short term intents over the next few sessions to bring this part to a close.
Why are they carrying Mercury anyway? - Micro recognises it from his job at the mines....

Well at the start of the next turn Micro is going to shoot again at the Lady Mage in the hope of dropping her once and for all.
Oh and this turn Since Hunter is twitching in his seat, hope of saving him is almost all gone. Micro Places Spell defence back up to 10 dice.
1st pass Shot

I am watching the sniper driving. I take one simple action to see where the rest of my drones are. Trying to figure out the rest of whats going to happen.
(Just trying to figure out how long its going to take everything to be in range. Then i can start to fire)

Collecting the info on your hud in the RV, the two doggies herd the sniper into the light tree cover off the side of the road - he leaves the bike on the deck - he diddnt seem too confident in accellerating away.. new bike maybe? the Flydrone is also zeroing in - but the guy has chosen light cover, giving him a better chance of avoiding shots coming in (makes it harder for you to target..)
he runs into the scrub, hotly persued by the hounds.. he twists, he turns and fires from the hip ... ZZZZZZ..clunk. Bloody Git ! he took out the damaged doggie..
At the end of this round Thunder is set to launch an attack with the drones he has left - now the problem is what does Thunder really want to do .. rip the sniper up as he makes his escape and potentially lose a drone or three.. or 'see him off' - harrass and cover the sniper's exit...
This will now tie in with the SWAT van - it too is escaping - there is a door part open where the sniper could board - and there is a doggie close by.. I cant see the doggie being run over as it is very nippy.. but if it gets caught up in a scrap with the sniper, it may become a valid target...
Under the tree cover, his pulse quickens as the sniper relishes the forthcoming hand to hand with the metal pooch the flydrone target practice, and if he is very lucky, that prescision shot into the RV driver's cab. This is the first time he has felt a combat rush like this in weeks.. Makes the job all worthwhile.. he breathes.
Micro gets the drop on the Ladymage.. putting another round her way, she may squirm out of the way of it - and out of Lucille's slaps that begin again... we shall have to see!
Lucille lays on another barrage, putting in an elbow punch as well - anyone who recognises 'dirty fighting' would know this close-in jab as a downright low-down move...
(where is that last random sequence.. 666554 blimey she used the headbutt and a throat chop as well.. ouch.. that is six solid hits.. might even drop her before she can pull out the frag grenade and run, one second timer guys.. THATs why she was holding..)
Everyone is back in sequence.. will the ladymage survive the assault and get to blow the front end of the bus.. while she escapes to the back...?
Four-Eyes can see Lucille vaguely through the bus curtains - theres a lot of pummelling going on in there.... and more shots
Hunter is on the floor drooling.

her twisting is just enough to jolt Micro's aim - and he puts more lead into the seating instead of her..
she hesitates for those split seconds - letting Lucille lay into her, the ork isnt overly strong, and her leather coat provides got good protection, and still twisting.. and the grenade will get dropped - letting her escape, as the ork driver just isnt fast enough..
That was the plan before Micro's shot forced her to use up precious dodge - still enough left unless the ork really puts on the pressure... WHAP - the elbow was dodged, but the throat chop came in from the same side onto her part-exposed neck - the coat collar took the brunt, but enough went through for her to give astronomy lessons.
Together Micro and Lucille force the ladymage to burn up her combat skills, and some gets through.. the weakened mage-ess takes another good solid blow as part of the attack and her eyes glaze over..
Her plan to draw and drop the grenade are scuppered as she begins the slow heavy desent into the cloying pool of unconciousness..
She has had the stuffing knocked out of her.. there is a possibility that she could shake it off with a bit of luck..
The assailants are now in the position that the bus crew were in - the bus crew clawed back - from an unprepared position and now seem to have the upper hand..
The assailants, if they want to, will have to counter the counter attack against a prepared bus - these guys are pros, and the big element of surprise has gone..
If the ladymage is successfull with a karma burn, it will be to attempt an escape, I see no suicidal flaws in her character.
Or she becomes the bargaining point - depends on how desperately she wants to get out of there or how much karma she can sizzle
We go directly to storyline -
The drones harrass the sniper, who is perfectly capable of taking them down one by one, and both he and Thunder know it.. the drones take up defensive positions between the bus and his position, once the RV hoves into sight - the sniper will be well outgunned.. does the SWAT team think it can come back up the road to rescue their mage, through the MG fire of RV and drones, to assault the tough yellow bus.. or a tactical withdrawl ?
The drones could continue to harrass the van for a good few miles to 'see it off' but Thunder will have more repairs to sort out once he knows that they are at a safe distance..

The mage-ess slumps - Lucille is ready for another round, Micro slides out of his seat coverng the body with his pistol, once he can put the muzzle against her neck and give a push he is decided..
lets get them outside... Mercury.. quick..
Lucille opens the doors heaving Hunter out into the unexpecting arms of Four-eyes, Micro bumps the mage down the steps and into the morning air - tinged with smoke and burning paint..
you begin to relax and survey the distruction.......
Thunder confirms the SWAT van is exiting, his drone follows at a safe distance while they eat up the miles and lick their wounds..
Phew*
(end of section- mop-up time ! and theres a lot ! the sound of sirens will soon be on their way, half hour or so... Nice one guys! dogged determination and a liberal sprinkling of karma !)
