technically we do have a chatroom, we can use any of the java rooms located in the gameroom area.. I did have a chatroom on the site at one time but no one used it so I took it down... I also have a TS (teamspeak) server if people are interested in it again I can put the URL back up
and what do you mean new dice?

I have a Q or few on HtoH combat..
Is there a disarm ? the reason I ask is that the unarmed combat skill seems pants - I can see that if you defeat the opponent you could perform some trixy manouver but ay a heavy -4 for a kick sword from small target - hand for example.
Or the swashbuckling sword disarm with aplomb
the troll disarm by shattering your haft .....
and also
using 0 range ordinary things youre always going to be outreached by those range 2 weapons (and pike-blocks) and find the heavy minusses will always outweigh your high skill.
A couple of suggestions.. It takes an extra amount of combat actions equal to the reach to draw the weapon -
eg. a range 2 2h-Nodachi over your shoulder would take two combat simple actions (one turn) to draw/ready, then a simple to ready, leaving another simple to do something else (one turn) then a complex to use. A club Range 1 would take a simple to draw, a second simple to ready(one turn)
Means without a quick-draw (at - its range to quickdraw) it is quite slow to pull out any weapon!
Using a long reach weapon usually requires space to swing, and few friends around to accidentally hit. If your 1s outweigh your hits, you clobber a pal instead accidentally.
Or get a -1 per reach for fiends in combat - they steer clear of that poleaxe and cant help you as much as they would like to. Natural dont count.
It grates to have all singing all dancing big sticks - certainly they are very effective, but there doesnt seem to be much of a downside to them
I usually picture Viking huscarles swinging their axes, with a row of guys supporting them - from behind and out of the way ready to leap in with their pointy sticks !
I shall try out a couple of these, but in the meantime if there is any info on HtoH it would be useful!

I'd like to remind everyone that I have had an IRC chatroom set up for over a year now. We do have our own TeamSpeak server set up, dicebots, as well as many other services. I don't think Mr.Johnson has ever said it's the "official" chatroom, but it is connected to this site. You'll find many of the people here are regulars there too. I've run an ongoing live Shadowrun game there for years now and my game logs are posted in the game rooms here. Anyone is welcome to stop by anytime. You'll usually find a few people hanging out in the room anytime of the day or night. Contact me if you wish to host your own live SR game or if you just need help finding us on IRC. You can find us here: Chat.Psionics.net in the #Shadowrun channel
