My profile changes on it's own for some reason. Darned if I know why, Krondax. More of the standard Pelch luck I guess. Maybe it is linked to all the permission problems I get. I'll go back and correct it again. I pretty much do it nightly anyway.
As for Angel. Excellent! Your comment pretty much takes us back to where this thread started. We need to look at the character sheets and determine just how much they need to contain. Like Angel says, I don't want to violate the characters that were accepted by the character specialists, but sometimes things do need to be spelled out a bit more. I still don't blame expogue on this outside of he could have approached this more professionally. It is something I am willing to get documented now, in the storyline, but we are going to have to show some detail.

I knew at one time this would come up.... my overall rule is one thing... GMs rules over-rule all (within reason) even if a char is cleared by a specialists, your character needs to be approved by the GM to participate in his/her campaign... if there is a situation, then the GM has the right to disallow your char, and I will not get involved if someone doesnt like that rule, I stand behind the GMs house rules.
your profile changes due to the add gender script.. im thinking about just removing it anyways.. its causing more trouble than its worth.. im just trying to see if it can be fixed first...

Now that's a thought! Does everyone find it as irritating as Krass? I may have found my niche on this board. To heck with teaching and writing, I could be a fragging pest!
OK Johnson, got your ruling loud and clear. I am going to get that hideout of expoque's documented and build correctly if he works with me on it.

And on a side note, if you wanted to get a background specialist, I'd volunteer for the duty. Just throwing my name in the pot.

I got rid of the extra races deal.... Im also gonna remove the shop script for a while which will give everyone time to remove the crap in there personal information area.. I will be putting the script back in on monday (hopefully completed) and will start making the appropriate changes to everyone profile... so.. ya'll have a few days to fix your profiles.. or the mods here can do it or someone... the extra gender script will be removed for good until it can be fixed...

And on a side note, if you wanted to get a background specialist, I'd volunteer for the duty. Just throwing my name in the pot. Johnson, I would take him up on that offer if I were you. He writes well. You know Mechwarrior, it might not hurt to put out some generic Histories and let some people choose and then modify and add to them. Do you think that would be possible? It could save you some time. Imagine the character creation process to be like an assembly line, We add a chevy engine here to a Mercedes body. Rainbow Clan: Do you mean am I a member of this group? How could you think such a thing? Planning for the Rainbow Family's annual shindig is going about as well as possible for an organization that boasts no leadership, counts anyone with a belly button as a member and refuses to obtain permits. The only certainty is that the summer gathering for counterculture types will be somewhere in the Inland Northwest. Unless it's held in Utah. Most likely, folks in the selected neighborhood won't know they've been chosen until mid-June, when Volkswagen buses start arriving. Then, they'll have to scramble to deal with more than 20,000 visitors, many of whom are penniless. (I have 8,000 NuYen, penniless indeed.) A U.S. Forest Service "National Incident Management Team" was in Spokane Thursday to brace authorities for the likelihood that the Rainbows may meet in the Colville or Idaho Panhandle national forests. At least 100 law officers and others attended the meeting, which was closed to the media. Based on past gatherings, the Rainbow clan will create an instant city four times larger than Colville, Wash., and three times larger than Sandpoint. They'll burden social services, law enforcement, hospitals, food banks and strain the host county's budget. The Forest Service predicts the Rainbows will create 12 tons of human feces a day, most of it buried in trenches. The scars from thousands of cars, hundreds of campfires and 40,000 feet might be visible for years. Officials can do little planning until they know where the Rainbows are headed. That's something even the Rainbows won't know until the last minute. The Rainbow Family philosophy has its roots in 1960s hippie culture, the peace movement, the back-to-the-land movement and Native American traditions. Rainbow people draw their beliefs from anarchism, feminism, Christianity, Eastern mysticism and environmentalism. Some are teenage runaways. Some are professionals. Some draw Social Security. "We really are a cross-section of America in all of its good and all of its bad implications," said a longtime Rainbow from California. You know Krondax, I think you just named our group of Runners. The Rainbow Clan.

Thanks for the compliment, Pelch, but backgrounds are so wide and varied, it'd be hard to make stock ones for all prospective characters. Now, if people wanted to consult with me about plausible backgrounds, I'd be more than happy to. I don't know everything there is to know about SR, but I do have a lot of sourcebooks and could look it up.
I'm not trying to impose myself on anyone, but if you have trouble thinking up a character background, I'd be glad to lend a hand.
