With the shopping trip completed, batteries refreshed phisically and mentally exercised, the three of them got down to discussion - under the fuzzbox protection
Good to see your shopping trip went well - laden down with goodies is always a good sign.. If we are being watched - they will be wondering how they missed you two on the way out ..
Down to biz then..
We got maybe a fortnight for training - I will need to do any spell learning over at Meg's place, and that will take a good long time I expect, so I will be unavailable - I will check in regular though.
What are you both looking to improve on? Any idea of what the next job will bring...
There are a few other things to sort out too - but we've got the rest of the evening to thrash out what we have been doing and what direction we want to go
The two women went silent - one of those pauses before something important was let loose.. Widow spoke up..
can you trust Meg? She saw and heard a lot in here.. we've got concerns..
One of the things we need to talk about... You dont need to worry about Meg, she will not let anything past the room.. By the time any vested interests get to hear about what we have done, then it will be old news anyway..
Have a think about our files - they will be updated by someone somewhere - when we get hired on for the next big job there will be an indication of what we have been doing.. it all leaks out eventually , but hopefully not too fast.. No, Meg is solid.
What do you think of JJ then...
She has taken the pecking order thing too far, she certainly seems to be security concious to the point where she would like to bury us all because we have been poking around Skagit.. she is letting security get in the way of operations. Currently J runs the Siren like a crab's arse - locked tight - too tight to be able to do much else than internal policing
What about the Skagit contract then?
Personally, I think it was rash to take it on - an outside contract, but they must have had connections to you..
It is good to have an insight into Skagit - which seems to be more of a political football than an electricity gererating site
it puts us in a higher pecking order, more room to manouvre without JJ - means we get judged on our merit rather than JJ taking the credit
After all thats one of the things that we are building here, not just a working team, but an independant working team.. neh?
So what else is on your minds - I'll get the coffee...
