"Sorry to say we can't accomadate you, but dat's six we got on da team already. Addin' anudder would be a pretty big cut into our profits, and we already got two spell-slingers. But I'll keep you in mind if we need any subcontracting."

Wheels nods to Freddy as he converses briefly with Peaches. Wow, three spell slingers all in one place at the same time...Must be a convention or something... Wheels thinks to himself, noting the names of the three for future reference. As Freddy nods and turns away, Wheels returns to the previous conversation.
"What about other things, like replacing lost or damaged or destroyed equipment? I don't wanna be perceived as a tightwad or anything, but my gear is top notch. And truth be told, top notch doesn't come cheap. But I gotta know up front, if I bring one of my resources in on a job and the drek hits the fan, am I going to be responsible for recovering that lost gear myself? If so, I am going to probably restrict what resources I make available, and then the jobs we do might not succeed as well as they could have. I am sure that you others have similar attachments to stuff you might or might not use or lose on any given run. Isn't that right?" Wheels looks around the table in askance...

Angel listens. "I got no problems with chipping in to the team's funds, but I'd say that whatever gear we get is ours to keep and ours to replace. But if you'd rather chip in a larger amount so the team can provide us with gear, then it would belong to the team, and if you leave, you gotta hand it over. But maybe there's a middle ground. Say that special weapons and standard gear is the team's responsibility, but clothing, armor and modified items are the runner's responsibility. We can start the buy in a bit high, but once we get a fair amount established, the buy in can be reduced." (Heh...PbEM imitates IRL gaming...the team I'm on, we chipped money into buying a building and part of the proceeds of our runs are invested in the team.)

"Yah, and here's another thing. What if one of us buys it? Gets geeked? What then? His gear goes to the next of kin if any? or into the group grab bag. Myself, I don't talk to my kin, and I am not planning on getting geeked, but drek hits the fan more often than not...It's something we need to discuss.
Another thing. Do we only accept jobs as a group? What about if for instance, someone only needs a finger wiggler, or in my case a driver? Do we decline based on loyalty to the group? or accept as long as the group as a whole is not busy? I would think first priority should go to the group, but I for one have skills that are in demand. I would maybe like the opportunity to take the odd side job. So long as it doesn't interfere with the Groups agenda.
Oh, hey, that remindes me. I hope we aren't going to call ourselves "the group" forever, cause that sounds kinda korny, if you know what I mean..." Wheels lapses into silence as his thought process sputters to a halt for the time being...

" I think perspnal equipment should be personal responsiblity and if there is speacial needs for a job then maybe have certain items available but we can store it in the off times in the safehouse we will be attaining. but thats just me."

"Well, far as a name goes, I might have a few suggestions, but I think we need to lay down the ground rules before we go choosing a name."
She then looks at Wheels. "That next of kin thing brings up another thing. What if the group needs to replace someone? We going to allow that, or sub things out? Obviously, the more people that know about the team, the harder it is to keep it secret, assuming that's what we want to do, but I'm pretty sure we don't want the Star knowing there's an organized team of runners around here."
Course, there's another question, who's got a fake SIN and who don't? And if you don't, should it be required, and if so, should the runner have to cough up the cred to pay for it?"
Personally, I don't have a SIN, but I've got the cred to buy one if I need to.

"Alright, well here's what I 'tink. 25% of our paycheck goes to group upkeep fees--rent, bribes, vehicle maintenance, dat sorta 'ting. If someone flatlines, 'den deir drek goes to dey want it to go to--if dat can't be arranged, 'den da group can do what 'dey want wid' it. If your gear gets greased, I 'tink we should use money from da take to replace it first, 'den split up da money from dere. Alternatively, we could just do it on a case by case basis--I mean, if we scrag a vehicle on da run, it might not be very fair for one person to foot da bill. But if I have to ditch my piece in da process, it would be considerably easier. Ya scan?"
"As far as freelancing and all dat, you could take your own jobs, but I'd radder you not. If it can at all be helped, I'm gonna be trying to keep us employed for da most part."
((The biggest reason for this is that runs take so long on here. A small "sidequest" could take 3 months, and the rest of us would be stuck doing nothing while we waiting for you to get finished))
"And da name was annuder 'ting I wanted to talk about. I'd like to come up wid' some'tin snazzy, but udder dan dat, I ain't got no better ideas. I 'tought about "Da Men in Technicolor," but I dunno. It doesn't seem 'hard' enough."

25% That was a lot to hand over, but if the team was going to take care of the bills, then it wouldn't be too bad. "We were talking about getting a place. Is it going to have sleeping quarters?" If it did, then it wouldn't be so bad.
"Men in Technicolor? Nah, I don't think so. But then again, if it ain't going to be on a business card or a sign, do we really need a snazzy name?" Angel asks. "And have we all agreed on the rules, or should we call in some lawyers?"

"Lawyers? Drek, that is all we would need. Krass coming in here and Helping us out. We'd end up owing him money from what I hear. Nah, I say, let the leader set down the final rules. We all agreed that he would be the leader. And I think we have all brought up some important points. Lets let him decide..."
Wheels sits back in his chair as the large ork ponders for a bit and the waitress brings another round of beverages....

"You're right Angel--25% may be a bit too much. You 'tink 15% would be better? I can go ahead and set up an account wid' a small balance and have all of us down as people who can access it. But in order to wit'draw from it, we have to have da access codes from at least 'tree of da six signatories. Dat sound alright? It'd ensure dat one or two people don't snatch all da money an' split."
"As far as gear replacement, I 'tink it should be up to da individual case. I mean, little stuff can be replaced easy, but a vehicle or sumpin' might need da whole group to pitch in on. We can decide dat when da time comes."
"Da safehouse I 'tink should be in a central district, but not too upscale. How about downtown around da docks? Dere are plenty of warehouses in dat area we can fix up, and dat would give us access to sea and groundcraft. Anyone else have any suggestions?"

Angel nods. 15% sounded reasonable. "Then again, maybe when we do a run, we split the money, and one share goes to the team. But having an account sounds pretty reasonable. Better than stashing in a mattress, that's for sure." When the subject of the safehouse comes up, Angel pulls on her pool of knowledge to suggest a few possible locations. "I think we could look at what used to be called the SoDo District, but I also think whatever we get, we want it to be close to the freeway for a quick escape if we need it." (OOC: City Knowledge at 4, Safe Houses at 3, I think she should have some ideas..and the SoDo district, as I recall is just south of Downtown, but has freeway access and water access en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SoDo,_Seattle,_Washington)

"Well, dat sounds good to me. We should also fix da place up wid a good security system, and if you want, some repair equipment or whatnot if you can use 'em." He directs the last portion to Wheels (you know, auto mechanic shop, electronics shop, etc).
Speaking of escapes and all dat, who's got what for vehicles? Me an' Sugar have a Bulldog van. Whatkinda wheels you got--err, Wheels?"
(LOL, looking at Wheels' character sheet, I think we're going to need a place with a helipad. ;D But still, that's a good thing. I like the versatility.)

"Well, I personally have several vehicles at my disposal. A couple cars, a van, a helicopter big enough to carry us all. A few drones for backup. However, whether they will be available is still subject to whether or not they will be replaced if they get 'lost' on a run. As for repair facilities. I do have a shop set up, in an out of the way place that I work out of occassionally. I have no problem making that available, since moving the shop somewhere else would prove to be...annoying. Not impossible, just troublesome.
I have an arrangement with a gentleman who shall at this time, remain nameless, regarding my helipad status. Suffice it to say that, I can periodically, launch the helicopter using their airspace. It's a priviledge I would like to try not to take advantage of if possible.
I also have...well, I have a small one man gunship. I have been tinkering with it in my spare time. I can operate it remotely as well, so I can bring it in as back up if necessary, and its small enough to avoid most radar. It's also small enough that any small parking lot, roof top or similar flat surface will work as an adequate helipad."
