((not bad Grem- it's 'Prix de gros' for bulk discount, which oddly enough would translate to "Wholesale Price' in English, but it's one of those 'double meaning' expressions so common in French...At least in Quebec where I am. So you lucky Git, good thing you didn't made a real Frenchman))

That would make sense: like you said snake is a know-it-all (not in the piss-ass way too: he's not one to talk..or when he does it's 'prolly with riddles and/or an indirect way) and he values information- ANY information I'd say: the world's affected by magic yes, but it's not completely taken over by it. Secrets, small or State would interest him: I suppose just learning a little something on let's say one of us would surely delight him.
So yeah, physical knowledge...Hmm...well, I don't really got an idea on how it could be done..maybe just a "sixth sense" helping him to spot that hidden safe behind the seemingly real books, see which door Mr.X used to escape the building, maybe to some extent see what's the combination for that keypad-locked door..Granted that would mean that snake's more and more intrusive in Freddy's mind, slowly but surely turning him into a feral Shaman: We did talk about those a while, while back wiht the Wolves in the Cascades: Someone did talk about some Shamans going Feral, attaining an animal form that they're less human and more like a shape shifter so to speak.
And- I wouldn't mind having F-E go Mage: adept would be more suited for him (and fits more: since he's all skills, no metal) but wouldn't mind him dabbling into 'real' Magic. Not to mention that whole Astral vision' crap that will 'prolly kick in at the worst of times hahaha...
But yeah-what do you guys think? F-E the Mage/Adept? Doable or just too much?

So I guess if the spell could have a counter spell that would absorb the mana that is being used to detect the "what ever" it is detecting. Kind of like a R.A.M. suit for the Raptor jet. You could have a M.A.M(S) (mana absorbing Material/Spell) that would absorb the mana in the detection spell so that it would not send back the signal to the caster. This should be easy to design for a spell. Since there are rules for designing spells I think it would be easy to do. Later you could Quicken the spell onto something then you got a suit to hide from detection spells. Quicken it into me please. I'll pay with money.

"So, 'think you're up to it?" Four-Eyes looked at Linnia, who was now dressed as some Arabian concubine. she had her small tropical jungle removed and replaced everything with sand, solar lights and her living quarters was now resembling a tent. At least she took care of that stupid Elven fish; he could live with that camel at least.
"Well if that zibree thing sounds as dangerous and secret as you're telling me, I'll need back-up in there." "I know, and I'm sure your boys can help you with that." "They won't work for free..maybe maybe Sammy and Bo but.." "I'll pay for them, don't worry about it. Here's something to start with" He dropped some 'sticks on the table, almost loosing balance. Lying on cushions were comfortable, but not the best if you had to move around. "Here's 20 grand to start. you'll get 20 more after you get something. Maybe even a lil' extra too depending on how juicy the info is." "And medical?" Dammit. "I guess so, but not for everyone; Don't think you're all gonna get fried in there, at least when one is, you better get your sense up and bail out." "Jack, please, I don't tell you how to shoot your gun, so don't tell me how to move in the Matrix." "All right, all right..just..you know, don't fuck around; if there's no info on the surface, 'could be there's something powerful keeping the info for themselves deep." "Don't worry, someone will watch over our meats, 'won't be the first time we did something a bit risky." "all right, if you find anything, or something happens, have someone call me ASAP. Doc Summers' gonna be ready if something happens." "Ok, we'll start first thing tomorrow. but for now, when are we going out?" I knew this was coming "Well, kinda have a tight schedule but..I'm free tonight...you gonna wear clothes?" "What? Why? What's wrong with what I'm wearing right now? "Oh nothing, just that some more...puritan members of society might find semi-transparent clothing barely covering the juicy parts a bit too obscene, and I'm not in the mood to hassled by the cops." "Fiiiine..but it better be a high class place with real food, I can't go back to soy." "Yeah me too: now that I'm used to real food, soy tastes like...I dunno, bland?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The neck pain woke him up. how the hell did those Arabs slept comfortably on those for thousands of years, he might never know, but give him a mattress or a sofa, hell even a chesterfield, not some blob of cushions. At least it was different he gave 'em that.
He went and took a shower, then checked his message: One was form Micro, saying that the termite was going to be bought legally by the Commute; More or less a good thing; at least the aluminum and rust dust he gathered was going to be at the Dump underground base and could always be made into termite later on.
The second one was from a while back: Hunter. Sadly the months spend in rehab didn't manage to help his dumbassery. He checked his watch: it was, surprisingly, only 7:10 in the morning. He's got some appointment with some Mage doctor Micro knows at 10 at Seattle General. Oh well, he wants to pay, might as well wake him up. He dialed hunter's number. He hope he was asleep or busy with that elven bitch of his.

Bishop's rounds hit the gangr's leg, sending him to the ground, grasping his leg. Peaches popped a short burst of gel into Bishop, hitting him in the guts.
"Yer breether's all the same; even down you keep on shootin'. Well, you're dead now.'
He slings his AK and help you guys to get back up, alongside the gangers you've downed before taking you into the room he was hiding: there was a hole in the carped floor, where a rope ladder was. Downstairs was a small furnished apartment, nothing fancy, but enough to live in. "Y' guys want a beer or somethin'? 'Four told me you wanted to talk 'bout a kill house, Limey. So watcha had in mind?"

As Bishop was out of breath for a moment, the Ork saw a window and promptly kneed Bishop in the lower gut. The British was still holding his Imgram, and a little shake and a solid punch, send the man a few feet away on the ground. He shook his head for a moment, that pistol whipping was started to be felt after the initial adrenaline ran off. As Blackout shot 4 rounds into Peaches, the Ork move back a few steps..but the gel rounds seemed to only bounce off the Ork's torso, like they were shot on concrete. The Ork grunted from the pain, but doesn't go down; instead he raises his AK toward Blackout, letting loose 2 quick bursts out of his Assault Rifle. ((Just so you know about Peaches- theshadowrun.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=submit&action=display&thread=281 Yeah, tough Trog))

((Ok, back on track now)
The 2 gangers at the end of the corridor falls down, grapping their guts: it's only Gel, but it still stings like a bitch. From the 4rd room to your right, pops an Ork and another as well, both armed with pistols: they seems to not wanted to get shot, using the door frame as cover as they pop a couple of shots each in your direction.
At the second door to your left, the one Bishop is guarding, all quiet...until a long burst of automatic fire, coming from an AK by the distinctive sound they make, blast thought the door.
After that, the door swings open, revealing an Ork with an Ingram SMG entering the corridor, being covered by a Large Ork with a cyberhand, and armed with an AK: Bishop might know him as Peaches, the Ork Four-Eyes dealt with to get this little interview location secure. As for Blackout, he's an Ork he saw downstairs with an AK
**I though Delacroix said they only had Pistols and SMGs!**

Wow...well lied down for 5 minutes last night, and woke up at 7 AM this morning..baaah.
From F-E's P.O.V. ; he was taking a contract with Meg (who he knows is a Mage- who also worked with Freddy in the past (and find his physical changes a bit weird as well) ) to guard some dozen Students (Mages no less) while they learn alchemy and make powerful, really high priced magical items (magic again? Oh noes!) against gangs (he's used to it) Magical corp (Aztec- this place got magic pouring out of it like water) and the British government 's 'eyes in the New World' (Which in case no one knows, F-E helped saved their asses (Or bums, whichever) during the Ripper incident (which sadly, the campaign got lost in the transfer) with Freddy.
Now, he's just a ganger with an education (chemistry FTW!) and he's about to be trenched in magic for the next year. And just before killed a Wendigo (magic beast) and the same wendigo, but in spirit form (with earth elemental too- still got the gems from their bodies.) And he's not into magic. At all. (what with backstory- which was posted in the ripper incident room, but got lost- still got the 20 questions on my drive- maybe I'll post it if there's interest.)
So what now? Don't take the job, which can help bolster his rep (and contact base) and go do one-shot contracts with some shadowrunner-types who might think kicking the front door, gun blazing is a valid tactic, or get into a wetwork job (which he's not really into) Or suck in that hate and go work for Meg, who he knows (to some extent) and her husband (to some extent).
Doesn't take rocket science to know, might as well work with what you know. So he asked Micro for some spells, mostly because: 1-He doesn't have any cyberware, nor can he have some installed (biorejection) and when seconds counts, the cops are minutes away, so he needs to rely on himself to shove the shit thrown his way. 2-He knows Magic is powerful. Insanely powerful too. And now he's gonna protect a building with a dozen snot-nosed, stiff upper lips British students (who granted, their most powerful spell might be "Create Tea"...or maybe not...more leaning toward the 'not'). 3- In the 12 students, there's 10 Humans and 2 Elves. Now those 2 are just asking for trouble.
He needs an edge. Something to help him on the magic side of things- relying on others for Magic is all fine and good- but in combat, he won't have the mages follow him around, protecting his ass ALL the time.
So what's the choices he's got? He doesn't knows a mage (short of Freddy- but he was busy at the time), Meg is the boss, and that'll look bad to ask for some edge form her ("Yeah Meg, you hired me, but I suck, make me better!") Shade he barely knows, and then there's Micro, which he was with for a good month or two in the Cascades, protecting Lucille and her cargo. And he just got initiated. And offered him to get him some quicken spells as well.
Gee wizz gang! How obvious is that!
Shade might not like Micro and F-E for that, but of course, he completely forgot Shade was all about frying Bishop alive when he was tied up and couldn't do nothing. Then F-E pushed him away. and now Shade is all 'VENDETTA' on F-E for a push..pfff..if He would have pushed you in some acid tnak, ok, but he just pushed you form someone WHO WAS HELPING US during the Angel Raid.
Again, F-E ain't a Mage, so don't know how mages thank eachother ("Oh you saved my life, here, let me cast fireball at you as a sign of friendship'), not to mention that whole Shade thing about "not killing anyone" but ok to fry some ganger while invisible or when Bishop's tied up...no problem with that.
As for the fact that, Yes, F-E hates Magic, and Elves, but that didn't stop him from working with Quicksilver (who he somewhat respects, since he's not a pussy emo tree-hugging Elf like the rest of the lot), there was also..that other Elf Mage, who was a Raven Shaman at the end before she stopped posting, and there was Max as well, until she had to stop posting as well.
In retrospect, maybe F-E strong attitude toward Elves might be why there's no Elf players around too hahaha..sucks a bit, but I'm not fond of the "We're in a team! let's drop everything we are to work together!" Like it or not, it doesn't work like that in real life, so why would it be doable in a game? Put 10 random people in a room and tell them to do something together, there's bound to be friction, maybe even a few fists going around.
And side note- 'll be posting in Car Fax AB (get Blackout's thing done he can join us in Belly of the Beast) and I'll finish reading Belly of the Beast to post in there..
As for the in game reason why F-E haven't participated in a while: He's currently doing Aikido training, working with some vampire hunters on that vampiric goo we gotten (Except if Wolflet got something planned for the vamp hunters), chekcing out on his decker friend on that K'bree thing Henry gave him (he nothing can be found online, he suspects there's a powerful group behind this and won't let his decker go around unprotected, both online (the decker got friends) and physical (since someone got to check the meat after she gets shocked)) and working with Jimmy Bean on beer delivery around downtown, looking around, making contacts.
Granted, got to write all this to make it 'in-game' and all, but with Wolflet's blessing, I could make some quick resumé in my next post, saying things are in motions, just didn't brought anything concrete as of yet.

A lot of mundanes in general don't like mages. For example FE. Why the hell would a mage give power to someone who hates magic and is open about hating it? From Shade's POV Micro is a traitor to his own kind. Basically he whored himself out to the lowest bidder which shows Shade a complete lack of respect for his (Micro's) art, lack of self respect and of course no pride what so ever. To Shade Micro is what he refers to as a "bottom barrel mage." Also keep in mind FE is also a monster in his eyes. (Those who aid monsters are monsters. (pretty I covered that already) And usign that logic, since Shade works with Micro and F-E he must be a monster as well.
