I'm making this thread as a quick reference guide to all the faces, places, and chases the runners come across and learn about while running in the shadows. Expect it to be edited and updated by me throughout the campaign. Feel free to post a brief summary about your character. Don't be too revealing, of course. Leave some things to the imagination.

"Batz" for short.
A very odd Ork with an even stranger taste in style. Not much is known about him currently other than he is shorter than most Orks, and that he has a temper and likes to humiliate those who challenge it. What his role in the current mission, and exactly how close he is with Sadie, the woman setting up this run, is unknown.

A human woman who seems to be very relaxed and friendly when it comes to meeting new people. You've met her once before passively though all you can remember about her is that her arm was damaged rather badly. Unlike most Mr. Johnsons you've met, she has no problem laying out all you need to know about a run without playing mind games with you. Which is strikingly odd.

Nearly everything in Illinois used to revolve around Chicago, the largest and most lawless urban wasteland of the Great Lakes mega-sprawls. At the state's northeastern corner, on the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago's skylines used to rival any city's. Now, it's a tall, standing reminder of what a ready-made housing project of millions of people looks like.
Museums and sports stadiums that are now nothing more than armed camps full of refugees and anti-magic militants. Restaurants and cafes now sit abandoned or condemned though some have been converted to chop shops, smuggler dens, and BTL houses. And still, there are some hives from the insect spirits that destroyed this city that have yet to be discovered. People are still trying to raise the morale of those who chose to stay here with bars and nightclubs that pay homage to the city's strong jazz and blues heritage.
Seventy-five percent of the state's population live within near the Chicago Containment Zone Sprawl, which controls the bulk of the state economy in the form of relief aid and search efforts – Illinois is the third largest agricultural producer in the UCAS, most of which is still provided to State and Corporate relief efforts in Chicago. Every week, anti-BTL, pro-family groups stage protests near the old kill-zones surrounding the old Containment Zone walls, and every time they turn violent.
Though there are still believed to be a vast underground tunnel system that has long been abandoned. Any hard evidence of the existence of these tunnels were lost in the Cermak Blast. Though knowledge these days seems to be prolific....and at a hefty price.
The gang life isn't as present as it was before the Cermak Blast incident Several gangs have made their names known in various sectors. The Blastars are known for their smuggling endeavors in and out of Lake Michigan. You need something high-profile brought in or sent out? You go to these thugs. They'll hook you up...for a price of course.
The Para-Ghouls are believed to be the embodiment of the insect spirits that plagued the city. They feast upon those foolish enough to walk their streets at night waiting for their "saviors" 2nd coming. It seems that their numbers are growing with each waking day.
Lastly, the Enforcers are vigilantes that push their weight around doing what the UCAS doesn't in this town which is a lot. If you have a problem, you go to them. Just pray they don't ever come looking for you.
These are your streets...your shadows. The pickings are slim. Make of them what you can.

David Johnson arrives in Chicago. "What a dump," he thinks to himself. He checks his pockets for a small brown colored bottle, reassuring himself he brought enough meds for this trip. David is short for a human and stocky. He could almost pass for a really tall dwarf. Born in the Welsh countryside, David came to the UCAS in order to make a bit of nuyen.

Jhonathan Ellison, known to some as Grim because he chooses to not reveal his history or heritage not because it was such a wonderful place but because it was opposite that. He dosn't want to explain the fact that he was a Guiney pig his entire life. A strong built man with character and very few recognizable features, hes a man with little patience but strong confidence. Not the most trusting individual, Jhonathan is, though, very reliable which a few Runners have commented on this fact.
Jhonathan is a rather tall individual, at least as humans go. He stands roughly Seventy four inches with a strong aura around him. He has a scar or two on his face the most dominant is the one that runs across his nose. He has trouble growing a beard but rather than shave it he keeps it creating a rather Logman or roughneck stereotype. He wears loose fitting clothing that covers his formfitting armor when he isnt actually doing anything, on a job though he loves to wear his Racing Armor black as night expecially while riding his Unmodified Suzuki Mirage.
He constantly wears Combat Boots which he obtained from his last job and Jeans, real loose Jeans that lok to have seen better days.

A gimmicky bar/club on a large barge that is on water. Its motto is "The only place that is never in the same place twice." The establishment is known for smuggling in BTLs to and from the south. And since it is constantly moving, and letting its next stop known only hours before it reaches its destination, it makes it that much harder to keep up with everything that goes on here. Who exactly runs these illegal, but profitable activities is currently unknown.

As she arrives in Chicago, she mutters to herself "Just another job...," in hopes of getting closer to bringing down the company that wronged her so many years ago.
