well there ya go then... everything that is in the room... you wanna take any of it? The face towel (washcloth) Also the chocolate (Also, as I recall, many would have a phone directory with a map inside it, and possibly a binder listing services offered by the hotel, restaurants nearby, local attractions and such. And a do not disturb sign. ) Upon finding the phone directory, Jorinda pulls on a pair of gloves. She opens the directory and finding the small map of the city, carefully removes it from the book. It would help until they got some bearings...or a better map. She folds this up and looks at Seer. "I got a small map of the city. Ain't much, but it'll have to do. Guy's got no luggage, so he obviously wasn't staying here." Again, it lent credence to the theory that the heir had been lured up here with the promise of sex. And based on that theory, Seer would be the shooter, and her simply his accomplice. Another glance at the body. Would be nice if they could make it disappear, but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Jorinda sees the do not disturb sign. "How much is on that cred stick? I could pay the room up for a few days, keep the do not disturb sign on the door, and that would buy us some time to get the hell out of town..."

Finding not much else of interest, he keeps pace with Jorinda as she gathers up the few essentials. His broad shoulders roll forward slightly in answer to her question. "Might keep the staff away. Though not sure if it will do the same for his personal security."
Erick racked his brain, searching for any names he heard mentioned by his contacts that resided in the free state. "Let's find another place on the street and out of here where we can figure this out." Erick still thought about getting hold of the others, but the thought did cross his mind that one or more of them might be working with Knute. Far fetched? Yes. But one could not be sure. The one he did trust was himself. Time would tell with Jorinda and so far it was leaning in the right direction.

"That assumes his security knows where he is." Jorinda opens the door with her gloved hands and hangs the Do Not Disturb sign on the knob. "Let's go then." Jorinda replies. "We need some cheaper digs...preferably with no security cameras. "Do you have a phone? Probably ought to try to touch base with our contacts, see if they can help us out of this jam...our point us somewhere we can get a fake SIN."
There was one person though, that she didn't want to call, but she'd have to do it sooner or later. Maybe later? Two bad news calls in a week? Yeah, she wouldn't be too happy with the messenger either. Jorinda opens the door for the Seer, and she is the one that pulls it closed. After making sure it's locked, Jorinda makes sure the Do Not Disturb sign is facing out so that housekeeping can see it.
How much time would that buy them? Hopefully, enough.

Taking a casual glance up and down the hallway as the door is pulled shut behind them, Erick turns back to her. "Might have one I can call on. Not sure if it will help though. You?" He answers as he pulls the cell phone and offers it to Jorinda first. He thought about Chon back in Seattle and how he had helped in the past. But that was within the Seattle boundaries. He had no way of knowing if his mentor had contacts that stretched this far.
"You have any numbers for the others? We can see if Knute has gotten to them or not." Erick asks as they head down the hallway in the direction of the elevator.

There could be cameras anywhere in the hall, so Jorinda takes the phone, but doesn't start calling right away. She waits till they get closer to the elevator.
"I've got Wheels' number. And Quicksilver's." Course it wouldn't help them much if they were on a plane already. She starts to call Wheels. That seemed first and foremost. If that didn't work, then she'll leave a message for him, and try calling John Redstar. He was a corporate Decker, but he owed her a few favors, and it was time to call one in...
(Sorry, I do recall she had a Decker as a contact, it's on her sheet in the Submissions Area.)

ooc: ill need a PM from you Jorinda bout your corp contact... you said youd call bobby first so im assuming you sent him a PM..
as you leave the room and adjust your sign, you look down the hallway and see a few of the bell boys and room service walking around... taking the safe route you go out the side door and to the staircase.. looking over the railing you see no cameras... as you head downstairs to the first floor you spot a camera overlooking the door to the outside... its a glass door and seemingly nothing more than a pathway leading to the sidewalk on the main street

Jorinda stops, mid stride, practically mid sentence, but hangs up after leaving Wheels a message. "There's a camera just ahead of us. We wanna cross its path and look real non-chalant, take it out, or find another way out?"
So having received her answer from the Seer, she walks with him past the camera, Her next call will be to Chen, to also leave him a message. It was a long flight to Japan. If he'd left them tickets, they didn't want to stick around Free Cali waiting to find out.
"If they're on the way, we don't want to wait around. Better to arrange our own way to Japan."
Jorinda next calls her contact, then if that fails, tries to get a hold of somebody...anybody...as long as it wasn't Dom....

Erick kept his stride with Jorinda as the pair walked through the hotel. He was unsure how many times they had been captured on camera at this point since they first arrived hours earlier. His attention remained casual at best as they strolled past the point of no return.
"Couldn't agree more. I think we are on our own for now." Erick responds quickly as he takes a shallow breath and opens the glass doorway for Jorinda. He remains silent as she continues to cycle through her contacts. The warm dry air of California rushes over the pair when they step out on to the sidewalk.
Still unsure if Chon can help him this far away, Erick bids his time to call his mentor. He still had alot to learn about the man's background and was well aware there was more to him than he let on.

Jorinda tries not to look at the camera as they pass it. Ignore it like any other citizen. She tells herself, but keeps her head down as they go by, still trying to get a hold of someone. She did finally talk to the Decker. He'd blown her off for the moment, saying he'd get back to her. She'd given him the number of Erick's phone. They were going to have to stick together for at least a little while.
She pauses a moment and tries to think about who else she could call. Quicksilver and John Hardcastle? She wasn't sure how much either could help them. And even if Dom was willing to take her call or help, would his help come in time?

As you walk past the cameras and out the door.. a sigh of relief escapes... but is quickly concealed as 3 Lone Star cars pull up to the main entrance.. sirens screaming... your heart skips a beat as the Lone Star officers and corporate bodyguards look in your directions but quickly turn away and run through the front door.. well out of your sight.. people focus their attention on the event, backs completly turned towards you two...

As they walk past the cameras, Jorinda starts to relax.
Then she hears the sirens. Drek! They pull up in front of the hotel. They'd left just in time, but it majorly sucked that the body'd been found that quick.
"Drek, we're going to need a disguise and fast. This is going to be all over the news and the trideo. The heir to Yametetsu getting geeked is going to be a major story." Neither the Star nor anyone else is watching them right now. Jorinda decides to make her way down the street, heading toward the nearest cheap hotel, sticking close to Erick. She wanted to run, but that would draw far more attention than a couple of lovers out for a stroll.
