Ok guys it looks like my computer is permanently dead. Even after buying a new motherboard it acted just like the old one. Which makes zero sense. I guess I'm cursed.

Actually, in Tranquility's case...having a SIN does not matter since she's SURGED and as far as I remember from the YotC events, they get sometimes harsher treatment then orks and trolls dependent upon group. At least people are getting use to goblinization...not so much with freshly shifted ordinary people.

SINs ought not to be too difficult to get hold of for the humes in your band -
There would be legal reasons for a hume not having a SIN - usually not being a Seattle City Citizen- you may well find that registration through the city offices will be as cheap/expensive as going through a shady connection to get virtually the same.
Again - an excellent storyline as to the ups and downs of going through the wheels of city hall. Anyone got connections in the legal trade or the Civil Service?
What are the up and downsides of a SIN?
- you can purchase virtually anything as your SIN will register on the checkout for most shops amenities and transport. Your wages would be registered through it too (for ease of taxation) There is always a cetain amount of forgery but most citizens will use their SIN like runners use credstix or cash It registers you to vote and is evidence of citizenship (whoo hoo!)
Downside is you can be traced through your transactions - moving on the citywide transport systems - and is routinely checked to see if you have paid your taxes
So as long as you are a regular earner and dilligently pay your dues then you are fine.
Lose your job get into debt and have your loans called in - you are out on the street and your SIN revoked.
Sometimes there is a mixup Buttle instead of Tuttle...

Henri you have your 10K and around a week in spare time - more than a week may mean you cut into your contract... bonusses will be on their way - Meg had proposed some sort of tradeoff.
the mages seemed to want some tougher backup in the form of big elementals which cost a lot - she is willing to foot a big chunk of the cost. Course there is spell learning too
You all may decide that you want to use up most of the four weeks untill the next month. In which case you may be available to help out for a day or two while you study and arrange stuff.
Sort out what you are planning then you can decide once further options have been proposed - you may find someone else has a brilliant idea and all want to go with that. So submit your plan and if you then want to run it - fine! if you want to change it then think of it as you doing the planning but changing your mind.

Docwagon contracts.. after an initial month you can gain your free docwagon gold for working with the company. Easy to sort out - takes a day of blood an tissue samples.
Even the SURGE personell can gain the contract.
there is a lot of hostility to the second generation of metas - people thought that things had settled when the Earth was bathed yet again in change.. people dont like change and tend to react to the symptoms of change. Sudden Recessive Genetic Expression

Oh, I forgot to ask. Did anyone happen to pick up a spare SMG when all the dust settled?

Henri - you can collect up an H&K 227 - can you use one ? and can you conceal it when you are out and about. The Star love to beat up on corporate employees toting guns outside of their main site!

I got a SMG skill of 1, so I'd prolly need a suppressor & some gel rounds to play with but I can work that into my next post. Since Henri only has about a week of free time, he's gonna put an order in for a Talismongering kit of his own (thank god for pre-paid lifestyles) & work on turning that stick he collected into a working focus...If Meg lets him use the shop that is.

What sort of focus are you looking to create ? - there are a dozen students bumbling around currently crushing weeds and bashing rocks into powder - they would be very interested in what you are doing.. rather than the uninteresting chores they are currently undergoing
There is enough equipment in the 'shop' for you to quietly tinker. You will need to explain what you are looking to make. If it is interesting - Benny could easily throw in the preparation cost - as long as the students can monitor the activity.
SMG 1... he he he barn doors..

Bishop and martial arts moves - if you want to buy a neat move use the companion.. school of hard knocks will provide similar specials like martial arts does.. the knockdown could be a neat unbalancing push - or a vicious heel to the back of their knee ! the result will be similar but the execution very different.

Use of the facilities - the 'shop' is big but there are a dozen fresh faced students all beavering away. If you are looking to create something short small and reasonably easy then you would be 'tinkering' for a while so no problem - write it up! Anything big would be a longer term project which will need careful preparation and lots of downtime. Generally that is why magic costs so much - there is a lot of time spent .
You will have a week to buy juicy kit and do a little training, brush up your skills and make stuff. More than that you are really looking to use a good block of time geting some big cyber implants or learning a big spell... which could take you out for a month!
It may well be that there are a few brief incidents which you could tear yourselves away from your studies for - have a think on what you want to do and what you have to spend.. write it up and we can adapt it if things dont fit..
Runners can get things organised quickly - it is part of their nature so setting stuff up may well have been planned for a while back and all you need is to bring it all together.
- a good example is if you already have specialist ammo you just get a similar amount through the same outlet - you dont need to go through the full meet and greet again! New stuff should be written up. Any street standard items you can buy from Woolies/Wallmart and get it delivered!

I'm looking to make a spell category focus. I can use a kit to refine my raw material for now, then worry about learning how to enchant & use the library & shop when there's more down time to play with.

Slight adjustment gear wise...
I've got R 7 encryption for the comms...
I designed and built a couple little fly spy micro drones. Plus the 2 rotosurveillence drones and we've got that covered. Only have 1 combat drone though (Lynx) as well as a maintenance drone. The Bulldog isn't nearly as buff but very stealth oriented (and can hold 4 or 5 other people depending on how friendly they want to be; 1 bucket seat and 1 bench).
I do have a Jammer (since someone mentioned it) but no ECCM.
