Frag, frag, frag... you think to yourself Meg as you just cant seem to locate him upon initial investigation...you begin a more systematic search thru the moderately dense underbrush and light woods that spot the hill. You move in a widening arc towards the building....two sets of perception please Meg...
Glacier, it's been at least 8 minutes since Meg left and you moved closer to the gate to get a better look. Given the time frame you have given me, you begin to move towards the main gate, being as stealthy as you can. As you get closer, you notice in the lights over the main gate, what appears to be a body, lying just outside the gate house. You also hear the sound of a helicopter in the distance.
Crossing to the main gate, you assertain that indeed, the body of the guard is dead, and there is another guard lying dead just inside the gatehouse. Both look to have been shot...
What now?

Glacier: Cause of death is pretty apparent in the relative light of the guardhouse lights and the fire blazing off to the right of the gate. Both men (human) have been shot in the chest. There is a large amount of blood pooled beneath both...The guard house window facing out, also has obvious signs of gunfire, as it is riddled with bullets.

You seem to be fine making it across the main yard towards the only part of the main building that you will be able to fit into. The destroyed part. Most of the rest of the doors and windows seem to be sized for human or human like sizes. Since you have not checked around the rest of the building, you don't know if there are other means of ingress and egress. You notice that there is what appears to be a large gun barrel protruding from the two towers, but neither tracks you...

OOC wow, those were some particularly unspectacular perception rolls Meg No sign of Glacier anywhere, and you have covered about half the ground towards the outer fence. You keep moving down towards the gate, searching, but against the background of Mother Earth, Glacier just seems to have disappeared. Returning to the land perhaps.... Waiting on Glaciers next post for continuation...

OOC boy the dice bots hate you guys...
Okay, Glacier you make it to the main building, but Meg is still not moving. The building off to your right is still burning merrily and you have seen no signs of life except the dead. As you begin to climb over and thru the fallen rubble of what is left of the building, it becomes apparent that around the left side of the building, previously not seen from where you were originally, had some overhead garage type doors. Most of them are now collapsed. It seems likely that if there was a vehicle in the building, it might just be in here. Now, if you make an explosives(5) test for me Glacier, maybe you'll find out some other stuff...
Meg: By this time you have pretty much covered the whole triangle between where you last saw your meat, the corner of the compound and the gatehouse...Things are looking grim....NO sign of him...Two more perception tests, one at TN=4 and one at TN=8

Finding a safe place is sort of a relative thing. Safe from things falling on her? No problem. Safe from the explosion? Hmm, well...Maybe you didnt understand...The doors are not in your way. They along with most of the roof and a good section of the wall are scattered across the yard, or in a big pile which you are climbing over...Placing Meg down just inside the wall on one side of the blown out section of the wall, you begin to search for perhaps the vehicle that you guys were sent to recover. This takes the next several minutes but you check on Meg from time to time. Even you Glacier can determine that the explosion that took out the wall came from within, and somewhere farther back in the garage stucture that you are currently searching. That section now appears to be buried under a large amount of debrie, bricks and HVAC equipment off the roof...
