Never played SR before...so hopefully I don't mess things up too badly. I might be firing off alot of questions since I'm still trying to get the hang of this character creation process....somewhat complicated it seems. Hopefully I'll get one made up properly and soon.
Cheers everyone!

Welcome to the Shadowrun Proboards, chummer. Don't worry they have character making specialists here. Last I heard Mr. Johnson was going to put up a thread with some good generic starting characters in each class you can choose from. Then you just consult a little on the skills. It should get easier. Maybe he will chime in later with how he is doing on that. Beware of the following people though:
Braddoc: He's Canadian, don't trust him. Pelch Gobwit: He's a stinking low life thief. Probably Canadian as well. Eon: Looks good enough but has a bad attitude. Yep Canadian, they hate us but want to come down a live here.
You can trust me. Mayor Krass, the peoples friend. Don't believe all the lies you read about me. Gotta go, things to do business to handle.

Yeah, that Krass lies like a bear skin rug. I'm not Canadian, I'm repoman and Krass is about to lose his car.

I don't know...I personally don't really trust politicians first off...and that name...Krass...just seems to weird...somehow the word "ass" in it tells me to not really trust such a named person....

Walks out of Krass's office, smiling, wondering what Eon will say when she finds out that someoneput Super Glue onto KRass's chair, and just managed to glue Krass's butt cheeks together.
Dont foreget about me Krass, im one to worry about as well.

Hey welcome aboard. Don't feel too bad, I'm still real new at this Shadowrun thing myself. Character Creation is a bit tough, and having it totally change from 3rd Edition to 4th doesn't make things any easier...
If you need help, feel free to ask. There are actually some runners around here that are helpful...

Xenomarch. "OK....Enough is Enough.....I'm Californian and I say trust The Great Krass! If my state can elect 2 Actors as Governors than I know what I am talking aboot! Course we DID elect 2 Actors as Governors so I could be wrong, oh and: Hello and Welcome to the Farm."
Eon, "Sure you elected them. Just like Krass got elected. Now I'm not saying he votes the cemeteries or anything like that but he really has no problems 'rigging' things a bit. Somehow he always comes up with 90% of the popular vote and considering how he runs the city government you just KNOW he's honest, right? Now, given the people you have in office in California I would say someone is doing the same think out there. Or the people are stupid voting for faces and not issues. Still I recall some issues that were passed where the COURTS reversed the popular vote. I wonder why no one brought suit against them? Maybe they don't have Drassel and JoAnne handling their case."

That's supposed to BE an excuse? Is it one I can use if I move there? I could be the worst killer since Jeffrey Dahlmer and they would never put me on Death Row, because some idiot would feel they KNOW me better than I know myself and would try to get me off. I'm just so misunderstood that I should never have to actually pay for killing 47 people right?
