Mr. Johnson, you are always invited.
Krass is the party crasher, but I think the dwarf is already ahead of the walking venereal disease.
Krass the dwarf is more of a man than you will ever be.

your character can take anywhere from 1 to 3 days depending on your format when you posted (and depending on Grunkzzz free time) you can however look for a campaign while your character is being processed (since it usually takes time for the player and GM to get the ball rolling...
on a side note.. I am Xtreme.. I use Mr. Johnson when I run campaigns and to play Dom Hasseltorn, I use Xtreme to play my regular characters.. I came across the Quotefiles completely on accident and havent regretted it since =D
as far as character creations, submissions and what-nots.. in the "Submit a character" area theres a pretty well detailed format for the basics of Shadowrun... we also have a weapons and equiptment area and comming soon will be a list of cyber/bio ware and whatever else I can muster up..

Hey Xeno, you started running your game yet? I see you have a room. How about a little heads up on that one for us guests to read. It looks like boombaby is already in operation and the dwarf may not make boombaby's game since they already are meeting the Johnson. That one looks interesting too though. Pay DataPay Data is a on-going run that I started 3 years ago and no-one has ever finished (alive or otherwise). The concept is open-ended. I have run 4 different teams simultaneously during the run with each team crossing paths (or not) as their runs dictate. One time I had a group go after data that another group had JUST stolen and it was interesting to see what the second group concluded had happened. Long story short. This will be about the ninth incarnation of this run. "Wheels within Wheels within Wheels, ad infinum"

OH Sorry Johnson. So you are Xtreme that posted on the Quotefile?
Anyway Grunkzzz just got in touch with me. So far everyone is pretty interesting and I seem to be getting lots of help. You have a good crew here.
I did try to submit my character along the lines of your template but I don't think I did it very well. Anyway, he is trying to sort me out. So given that I'm the dumb hoop in this I can afford to be patient. I just wanted to make sure that someone DID actually get it. I wasn't sure I even submitted it correctly. It's been a LONG time since I created any character and I don't even have 3rd or 4th Edition books. I'm playing catch up here. So if he needs to redo the character, he has my blessing. I'll live with whatever he wants to approve. I did try to err on the side of poor rather than Monty Hall.
To bad I missed Eon but I was cleaning air conditioning ducts this morning. I've seen some tough girls but for shear brass she seems to take the cake. No offense meant Eon. From what I've been reading she seems interesting. Now Krass? I deal with wankers like Krass a lot. I don't dislike him, I'm just used to him. He almost makes me feel like I am on familiar ground.

Thanks for all the welcomes and help. I plan to play a dwarf street samurai. He is not rich and of course he is fairly new to the street scene. On the upside, he's willing! I will probably need some type of beginners game. So anyone have recommendations for the best place for me to start when the character is done? This way I can start reading up on what is happening and then I can get a chance to work up a good entrance. Also you might want to recommend which of your games I'll fit in best. It won't be wise for me to get into a game with all high level players, or a game that is to far established, as Krass pointed out. Another question, the Universal Game room. Could I start a thread there about my character even if it isn't done yet, or should I wait and enter any of the threads when it is done? To answer Porter's remark, Yes you can see over me, but I don't recommend you get in the line of fire. I do have a tendency to shoot low on the tall ones.

well, after the krass comment on page 1, i woudl say he woudl fit right in, now if he can only brew, i need another drink.
personally, i woudl hate to see it if eon and Xandria ever got into it, but seeing as how eon has been around for longer, she would probably win. if all things were equal. well, i dotn think that Krass woudl go limp for a month after watching that fight.
im just shocked that the Fatman mentioned me. I hadnt even posted a post in a game thread yet!.

Another question, the Universal Game room. Could I start a thread there about my character even if it isn't done yet? absolutely... you can use the UGR to do basically anything you want. Introduce a new character, buildings, news, whatever.. as long as you dont use it to kill another character (unless its your own or you have the members permission first) think of it as a rollplaying spam board.

As Mr J says - his crew HAVE put in a sackfull, they certainly have!- thats why I'm doing likewise...
Bit of history from me - stacks of Runequest - loved the versatility of SR did the D&D thing but that has lost it's m4echanical appeal (great 20years ago, but things have moved on..) embraced tabletop ... Hated Warhammer -like warmaster 10mmn - see new Blitskrieg Commander rules! brill for wwII !.... gasp of breath..
we used to force the other players in our (old) group to run small or bigger (preferably) scenarios so everyone got a go at playing, and then they had a go at running their own scenario. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesnt - and you HAVE to find out why.... some people are brilliant at running stuff and everyone else laps it up- so two /three years later on the DM has a weedy starting cha compared to the regular player-heroes! waah unfare! they crie - Stuff eh?

Hey, wait a second, what is all this Drek about no dwarves on this board? I HAPPEN to be playing one...And speaking for all of us dwarves, you know, its really not polite to sit on our heads or make fun of us. One of these days you big fraggers are going to get into a tight spot. Or in the Fatman's case, maybe not such a tight spot, and you are going to need someone like a dwarf to get in there and get your hoop outta the drek. Then it'll be..."Oh yah, Mr. Dwarf. We love you!! Could you please come and save me? PLEASEEEEE? " I say Frag'em at that point, Pelch. Literally. Throw a frag in there with'em...Unless...Well, unless its Krass getting his dream of getting 'in' Eon. You might want to reconsider at that point. She seems tough enough to survive that, and come and get you afterwards.... Welcome to the boards....

Thanks all. Just sent a LONG message to Grunkzzz explaining how I made my character. He is still working on it. As for sitting. I might take to wearing a spiked helmet. Have a seat if you want, of course if I'm laying down and you decide to sit you take your chances on what might pop up. Anyway, off to the UGR and start to submit a resume. Once you see my style you can decide who might want to hire me or frag me! Why should you have to buy a pig in a poke? If I want to get hired, I need to show you folks my stuff. THEN your groups can decide if you want me or not! AW another dwarf is here. We will RULE! Tall Ones, high pockets be in despair.
