Bishop took the stairs two at a time. Reaching the ganger he just shot, he kicked the ganger's spit gun backwards down the stairs and, without breaking stride, reached towards the second ganger - aiming to throw him down the stairs after his buddy's weapon.
(wolflet say.. he seems relieved that there is someone he recognises still standing.. and nods to you.. as the heavy pistol rounds from down below zero in on his shoulders and upper chest.. then he is revolved..
up at the top.. What the frag's goin on down there..?

Quick has control of the ones on the floor and to the back as well .. Looks like most of the lower floor is near-enough cleared of any pressing danger apart from the one go-go at the top of the stairs..
Peaches and the two now arriving should be able to take him out - as they tend to be good shots.. smartlinked up.. aim - really they are more worried about Peaches takin the hits.. Peaches is just miffed (the guy had obviously been holding his shots for something special)
Angel winces as the impact of those uzi rounds slam into Peache's kevweave.. that would have gone right through her.. even the residual is enough to generally hospitalise a normal human being.. Ah, having over twice the bodymass of most humes does help - Fraggin lead stings as it barely grazes the flesh. Peaches has taken nastier burns from hot weld-slag droppin down his tee
Brace on the bonnet and a return burst whaps into the ganger on the stairs - just as Micro and Four-Eyes lean around from the side and put an aimed shot off each -
you all expect him to go down in a heap, not up in the air a couple of foot.. sideways.. downwards..
'a surprise trip from from someone close' was written for Saggitarius on the afternoon channel, for once they got it right !
Even if the rounds from Peaches, Four-Eyes and Micro diddnt hit him (and a couple would) - the ganger cartwheels downstairs ... seems like someone is in a hurry to get past...and up

Chuck Sneaks through the door while the Orks back is to the door. Using his extendable baton he takes him out.
Sneak-4 [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] totals=6,3,1,5 rule of 6 [dice=6]
clubs-6 + 3 combat pool [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] totals 5,3,6,2,1,4,2,1 rule of 6 [dice=6]
Chuck has a +2 reach with the baton 11M (Stun)
If Chuck takes out the leader he puts out a call to his fellow runners and to the ganger to stand down. This is a simple miss under standing there is no need for a gun fight. [rand=9407473971051055826054206874657403691393723284053027608255380376145]
Chuck is on the roof going down to the top floor of three floors - Micro scouted this place to identify eight gangers , now a bundle are going downstairs to floor 2 which has been magically warded
Floor 1 is the ground floor where the current owner of an illegaly-parked van is heading for the stairs..
So although you can fish out a stick, you cant biff the boss - as there is only one ganger in this rest area with a shotgun.
There may be a mild skirmish if the ganger Maxine notices you comind down rather than one of the other two.. and as you know someone has been posted to watch the place they aint going to be snoozing...

The knife flies out of the man's hand, but Angel screams as the man shoots at Peaches. Though she knows it wouldn't hurt him much, it's still distressing.
"Nobody does that to one of my chummers." With that, she levels a stun ball at the shooter.
(Wolflet say. Smacked by gel rounds, flipped down the stairs, and now stunned within an inch of his life.. the ganger arrives at the foot of the stairs in a jellyfish-heap theres a few broken bones in there...
The stunball cannot affect what you cannot see, but you do make out one ganger's back bobbing upstairs too hard to target - he is purposefully keeping low an fast..

Peaches grunts as the rounds slam into his chest, staggering a moment before he regains his footing and clamps down on the ingram, spraying a full auto burst at the head of the stairs. As the man topples over the edge and the other ganger dashes past, Peaches snarls in frustration.
Fraggin' gangers. In my day at least we had pride enough to take a shot like a man instead of running like a little bitch.
As Angel screams in rage, Peaches shrugs it off. "It'll take more dan a hand cannon to knock 'dis 'ole dog down. C'mon, let's teach dese pups a lesson." Peaches charges up the stairs, growling under his breath. "Fraggin' try to gank me... I'll beat you 'til ya pee blood, you fraggin' sonsabitches."
((just so I'm clear, are there any gangers actually operational down in the foyer, or are all the threats upstairs?))
(Wolflet say .. downstairs is calm - the Angel gang down here have all had the fight knocked out of them - or are bumping around in the dark in the rear..
Peaches reaches the foot of the stairs in time to see the clean heels of the running man nip around the corner.. because you are so tall, you do have a reasonable view of an open firedoor around 20 ft opposite the top of this stairs - probably the nevt flight up Out of which are coming a couple of humes carrying bigger boomsticks and securing armour...
seems like there is a sort of open office space at the top - an upper reception area for the carfoam company years ago ?
you can rush them if you wish....
Micro knows that the astral barrier is flush with this floor at the top of this flight- you cant get to the top of the steps without having to pass through it - so the gangers in reception have astral protection.

Seeing as the fight was moving upstairs Quick will follow Peaches and Angel up as well as keeping an eye on the gangers on the floor making sure no one gets in a last minute suprise.

Though Peaches may be somewhat reminiscent of a raging bull, he nonetheless has a bit more sense about him. He pauses near the top of steps (maybe 3 stepsfrom the top), crouching down so as to give himself a bit of cover. He aims, holding his fire until the first of the heavily armed goons blunders through the fire door before he unleashes a torrent of slugs in the ganger's general direction.
((Astral Protection? I thought wards and astral barriers only protected from dual-natured beings, spirits, and astrally percieving mages. I didn't think it had anything to do with stopping mundanes. Am I wrong?
Also, are we foregoing all the dice rolling for the sake of speed here, or should I go ahead and roll them bones?))

((Wards wont stop anything that isnt astrally active.))
Shade follows everyone else up the stairs. "Let me though." Shade tries to work his invisible ass past everyone and into the room hoping nothing shoots at him.
(Wolflet say.. Wards will stop spells though - as they are astrally active ... Shade will know that to get through the barrier with the spell intact, you will have to fight the barrier using your spell Force vs the barrier force (Micro noted that it was high) you can add pool like any other astral style combat... the one who set up the barrier/lodge will be able to react likewise..
they dont stop just astral scouting

Bishop was crouched waiting when Peaches reached the top of the stairs. Keeping his head low, he looked Peaches up and down before speaking in a no-nonsense British accent that contrasted with the tatty clothes he'd used to try to fit in with the gangers.
"I do hope you're not here for the same gadget I'm after."

Four-Eyes keeps his hands on his revolver, his Uzi in tow, his off hand kept on it. Peaches opened up with a burst to a man in the stairs, he was more concentrated on the one close to him, in case they wanted to pull a fast one, which never happened.
Shade was nowhere to be seen. Peaches stormed to the stairs, followed by Quick. He kinda remembers seeing Chuck on the roof, Micro was near him and Angel was a bit stressed from seeing Peaches getting shot 'Only she knew how tough th'bastard is "Thunder, 'goons patrollin'round, eyes open huh? Keep'in touch"
The gangers seems to be busy trying to get up again. Four-Eyes spins around, walking toward the stairs, looking everywhere, his hands still on his unholstered handgun. He waved the Mages to go upstairs, he'll close the walk.

The others were heading upstairs, but Angel was going to stick around and search the room, as well as the gangers. They'd gone all whack on them. They were a bit too jumpy. What were they hiding? What were they protecting?
(Wolflet say.. A few sharp words will keep the gangers down - most now have hands clenched over the back of their heads and are occasionally looking nervously around and at the open van-filled doorway..
Given the chance it looks like they may leg it - but could rally outside if there are enough of em... Four -Eyes is covering the area too just in case ther are any stragglers.
Angel does collect the LAW - Four-Eyes' face lights up...

((Is it too early to have Peaches shoot the new guy? I'll wait to get the low-down from wolflet about the first shot at the heavily armed goons before I haul off and blast the other guy. ;D))

You have a wide stairway - you can see the opposition beginning to pile down from upstairs - you could begin opening up on them from where you are -
there is a reception area here - one table overturned and a couple of heads and longer barrels sticking over it -
An english accent whispers out from the punk who has just turned the corner onto the reception area - sounds like he has an alterior motive for being here - sounds like he is not part of the gang...
Bishop is able to roll out of the stairtop area - as he judges it to become very dangerous in the next few seconds.. one guy behind the desk waves him out of the way then shoots at Peaches head.. (looks like Bishop can stay in this reception area without too much problem from the gangers..)
The top of the step erupts - flamin roomsweeper - Peaches ducks it.
the stair now contains most of you - waiting for an opportunity to scramble upstairs and into the reception they have laid on..
the longer you take to do anything now, the more gangers will get through the opposite door to reinforce the defence...
They dont seem to want to negotiate either, strangely!

Bishop scrampled for the closest door, heading through the south exit from the room and being sure not to move through the field of fire between the gangers and the runners.

Though still furious, Peaches still recognizes the futility of a headlong rush. "Hell," he thinks to himself, "Dis ain't even a fraggin' job. Ain't nobody dead yet, might as well pull out while we can."
He takes a couple steps back, laying down full auto suppression fire on the hunkered down gangers as he looks back to the others. "We got our people, right? Let's vamoose while da gettin's good. Normally I'd say we frag 'em up, but I didn't bring all my toys, and I ain't really equipped to rock'n roll right now."
He turns back to the top of the stairs and clamps down on the trigger again. A small spray of bullets spurt out before the magazine runs dry. Swearing, he ejects the clip, scrambling through his pockets to get another. "Reloading. Gimme some cover fire!"
