Smiles a bit at the boys and their toys comment, as he glaces at the deck. "You should talk:" he says before leaning forwards to lucille. "Where next?"

Falls stopover next, bout four, five hours - be there before nightfall, nuthin much between here and there, cept mor hight and trees..
The road angles up a little - you can tell the air is becoming thinner the way the engine echoes more as it labours along the white-tinged roads. A red 4x4 overtakes and matches speeds - the orc driver yells out yagedditt bah caa faas yajainin will fant He looks over expectantly so Lucille thumbs up and he draws away uphill, the troll in the passengr seat thumps the roof of the 4x4 and points up into the mountains...
John could catch what they shouted - 'you should head up to the Falls and get joining the wolf hunt'
Shit, just what we dont want, a bunch of pumped up mountain men tooled up and hungry for blood - theres always some stoopid accidents. You guys watch yourselves - if theres yahoos heading on up there now then the word has spread - It'll be open season on anything that moves for the next three weeks. Any hunt will take three to four days to track them down then a few days back - I cant afford you guys leavin to go off on a wild hunt -
a few miles on two chop hogs grind past - gleaming chrome with precise pinstriping seem out of kilter with the stained an drab riders, must be 900s 950s -cant tell without a close look, panniers and rifle buckets show you they are heading in the same direction.
After two more hours and a little traffic heading in both directions the sign indicates the Falls stopover. At the log-outlined entrance there is a table set up - Lucille pulls in and is greeted as she opens the doors
you got a busload up here this fast - thats some fine organisation - we're expecting quite a few over the next couple of days, so we got some rules here for your own safety .. You sign up to hunt down wolves, Sherriff says no bounty but you get to keep your kill. Any of you folks got kin who'll miss you - we got a will chit you can make out, in case of accidents. Those who dont, we got a beer tent organised. Ordinary folk who's here for the scenery - this is a declared dangerous area, do not venture out into the forest. Only hunting groups are legitimised to do so.
He draws breath while Lucille replies Were just stopping overnight - driving on through - got some snow recreation up at Three Peaks
She closes the door and drives past a few recently pitched tents and the permanent log cabinnettes to a quiet flattened campsite with electrical hookup.
Anyone a good cook? I will be sleeping in the bus - its times like these when people remember they are low on gas and borrow ours. I'll fone ahead and tell em were on route. You want to kip on the bus or lie in 4-berth cabin luxury ? 300 creds I noticed back there. No signal.. Damn. Lets get sorted out who's doing what, just watch yourselves with all of these big ONES around.

"Hehe..yeah John, just call me when you're gonna try'them out. They might have a shootin' range at the Town, if we got some time to kill hehehe"
Four-Eyes poped open the cylinder and handed out the Warhawk to john, holding it by the weapon's upper cylinder chassis. "Take good care o'them, They can last for a 'thousand years you know?"
He looked back a the road upfront, trying to do that 'spot the critters' trick Lucille talked about. No turns, no stops, no pedestrians, not to mention nothing else to trow things at... The great open roads were utterly boring as frag. Trees here, trees there, wonder what's behind that hill? 10 Nuyen it's more trees. "Damn..'need a smoke now or I'll fraggin' snap." He decided to switch to therm vision for a while, question of looking what was hiding just right by the road. He did manage to spot some little heat sources, mostly birds and little animals he thought, nothing really interesting. He switched back to normal vision and started looking at his "Animals of North-America" pocket book, part to pass time, part to learn some stuff. ... "Wolf hunting is on? Fraggin' knew I shoudda got that motherfraggin'permit" "Heh..yeah no prob Lucille, we ain't got no permit, or time to waste anyway..."
A couple of hours passed, Four-Eyes stress level was about to reach, 'jump out of the bus and light one up'. good thing they were stopping for the night
"Yeah I'll sleep in the back o' the bus, I got last shift, and no way I'm walkin' from the cabin to here."
He exits the bus and lights a brand new smoke, putting back on his goggles, which he took off before hitting the camping site's gate.

That night you use a bar-b-q to freshen up some stodge and sauce with tortillias - tastes great! even though its the same stuff you eat bake in th 'Smoke'. Lucille makes sure that you all have a tour of all the things to check around the bus. Looks like she will take the first two hours then wake Fryer near the end of the shift -
bus lights - this will flood the front and sides, these are the spotlight controls - great for deflating the 'lets go and smash up the bus' attitude of a gang of drunken yahoos. Theres a beer tent up an selling 'lightning' amongst other brew - we'll pick some flagons up tomorrow morning - they wont have run out. Ho, Fryer - the fones are down- can you bounce a message with that deck of yours?[/color]
It is the quietest night any of you from the sprawl have ever had - Hunter sleeps like a top - but most of you are spooked by the stillness and silence- even with the heavy music drifting over from the beer tent... But eventually the thinner mountain air lulls you to sleep....
Fryer is coming to the end of a swift check around the bus when there is a juddering and a shaking... everyone wakes immediatly - it is as if your heart has moved six inch backwards and has been changed to lead cold sweat immediatly drenches your skin as you instantly react by bringing your knees up near your chest..
WHaT tHE f.F.raAg...!
Hunter knows - Earth tremor, Fragg either a big one, or it's close - either way everyone make a reaction roll vs 6s or a wilderness type roll vs 4s (having experienced this before does help - anyone got sonic weapon clearance , coz you'll be fine) if you dont get three successes.. exit the bus in whatever youre wearing, oh, and count up those 1's to see who is taken by the madness...
Fryer youre outside - you could use an athletics (or default to bod) to overcome the gut-reaction of crouch and freeze..
Lucille is fast, in her coveralls, outside shaking, clutching a blanket and holding on to the bus the music stops abruptly, all of the lights go out in the campsite. another sub-sonic wave hits the area, jabbing your id with another primal twist. Starlight black - silence broken by a series of wolf screams - high and violent - not low and mournful, up to the open sky from higher up the trail.
As bins and logs thump to the ground - shapes can be made out - other campers exiting their bedrolls. From the beertent area, gutteral howls go up from a few drunken throats as their id is gripped and wrenched - everyone can feel it - a need to overcome the fear, a howling rage is a teriffic release (clear cold rational thought is an alternative !) otherwise you know you are going to be frozen - overawed by the collossal forces which seem to be centred on you and you alone...
(if you want to apply a different method of resisting this, please feel free to do so - curl up in a ball and scream is a viable alternative....)

Four-Eyes jumped out of the bus, all dressed up, minus his boots and jacket.
"THE FRAG IS THAT? WHO'S DOING DREK? FRAGGIN' ELVEN MAGE"
The lights went out, switching to thermo, he pulled out his revolver.
"C'MON YOUR INBRED FRAGS! I'LL KILL ALL OF 'YA! YOU AND ALL YOUR KIND! I'VE GOT BULLETS WITH YOUR NAMES OF IT FRAGTARDS!"

LLifts up his head, looking around as the bus shakes, a lot. Damn, big one. "HEY, WHAT YOU ALL RUNNIN FOR, ITS JUST AN EARTHQUAKE!" he says as he gets up and walks to the enterance of the bus, and looks out. 'FOUR EYES, SETTLE DOWN! ITS JUST AN EARTH SHAKE!" Shaking his head, he sits down in the seat that four eyes normally takes....

Everyone is out of the bus half dressed carrying whatever they can - Hunter looks around and is the only one who seems to have an idea of whats happening - he is able to speak with an authority that you are able to listen to and believe
The problem is that now you know that its just an earthquake (just an earthquake.. !) theres sod all you can do about it - you are wide eyed but all able to cope...
Persception rolls for everyone at standard.. please! (night time - starlight)
Erm all except you , Fryer, you have the options of fight or flight - what would you like to do - you have a a choice to rage at the sky or curl up into a fetal ball...
A couple of shots ring out amidst the rage from the beertent
The screaming yowls of the wolves peirces the night, joining the orcs in their answer to the fear..
Lucille holds onto the bus nearly frozen..
