As Jorinda lines up with the others, she sizes up her competition. The other elf was pretty decent looking and had done a pretty good job. Most of the others were marginal, and a few downright painful to watch. So it didn't surprise her that more than a few times when the patrons were asked to judge a dancer, there was only silence. Other times, it was obvious that only the lady's cheering section was applauding. The Ork Cherry had brought all her male relatives, it seemed, but all totalled, their cheering actually rivalled some of the better girls.
Finally the guy announces the results. The other elf had been good, but she'd been better. She gets up and collects the prize money, and wonders where she was going to put that paper money. The long coat did have some inner pockets. Taking her seat again, she smiles and thanks John for his congratulations, but turns to him and says, "We wait for Cliff to show up, then we head back out again."

10 minutes after Cliff comes inside the bar, his clothes having gotten a few splashes of blood on it, and you could all see a red slop on his face. He probably got hit in the face. He quickly walked to the bar and orders a dark drink form the 'tender and comes sit down at your table. "Hey, everythin' all right without guys? So who won the cash in here? 'Bet it was that redhead huh?" He takes a long drink from his glass. "So, got what's mine?"

Jorinda looks at Cliff. He'd gotten worked over, but whoever did it to him probably looked worse. Or at least she hoped so.
She watches as Cliff sits down at their table. "Nope, wasn't the red head. It was a blonde." She replies, shrugging and trying not to smile too much. She wasn't going to mention it, because she knew everyone else in the bar would tell him who won if he bothered to ask them.
Jorinda looks over at Xeno. He was the man with the plan and the money after all.

"Hey Cliff, lets go talk out side for a bit."
10 mins will pass.
As I come back I'll start patting my self down as if looking for something.
"Jorinda, something came up and I have to take care of it pretty quick. I was thinking that someone needs to check on Gunther and see if he's alive or dead. You think you could do that and get back to me? Well anyway you go I'll get back to you as soon as I can."
With that I'll head out the door and into the night.

Jorinda watches as Cliff goes outside with Xeno. There was something about his statement that set her on edge. He wasn't going to kill the guy, was he? He wouldn't do that, would he?
When Xeno returns to the club alone, she's not so sure that he didn't off the old ganger. His words did nothing to dissuade her feelings on the matter either. She nods at his request and as soon as he leaves, she tries to ring Gunther. Phone call first, try to track him down if that failed....

John looks at Jorinda with a puzzled look on his face, "Where's he going?" and throws a thumb in his direction.
To Xeno before he takes off the second time: "Hey just give me a ring when you come back so i can let you know where we're at and whats going on."
Giving Jorinda another puzzled look he whispers, "They actually gave you paper?" Then John lets out a soft whistle of surprise. "Now thats what i call retro."

Jorinda: Calling Gunther's phone gives you the message box ((OOC: Game-time wise, he's still unconscious at the hospital))
Cliff comes back inside a few minutes after Xeno left. He comes in with his 'gang' and sits down in the same corner. After ordering drinks, The ganger comes back to meet Jorinda and John, 3 pints of brew in his hands. He sits without even bothering to ask "Well, dunno what your friend had in mind, but I"m 1000 Nuyen richer now. so, 'least I can do is buy you peeps a round on me." He gives out the glasses and drinks a good quarter of his down. "I hope the bastard brought some BTLs, 'cause Spliffy ain't gonna do squat sober."

Jorinda replies with a shrug of her shoulders. He had been and always was a mystery to her. "Beats me." She replies. "Thankfully, I'm not his keeper."
Jorinda nods. "Yeah, kinda funny, huh? But then again, this place is a ways off the grid." Hell, that was an understatement. She listens at her phone and closes it without leaving a message. "Probably have to pay the troll a visit, I guess. Still can't reach him."
Jorinda is actually glad to see Cliff return to the bar, and more so that Xeno had paid him. She liked to keep her word.
Jorinda smiles as he sets a drink in front of her. It certainly wasn't the first time a guy had bought her a drink, but she appreciated the gesture anyway. "Thanks."
At his comment, she raises an eyebrow. What the heck was he talking about?

didn'tff pus his glass down, nodding to John, "Meh, no hassle, 'just made another grand thanks to tail-boy, 'least I could do.." he turned to Jorinda, who had that questioned look in her eyes. "What?" He checks around the bar for a few seconds "Oh, 'guess he didnèt told you huh? He's gonna meet some street slick I know to go do whatever at the Crash Site near the Rat's Nest. He musta sparked a wire, but meh, like I care, I gopaided."

Jorinda shakes her head slightly. Xeno didn't tell her much of anything. So he was going to the Crash site, alone? How wise was that? Probably not very, considering they'd barely gotten out by the skin of their teeth.
"So Spliffy's your bud then?" She says, trying to change the subject back to him.

Cliff nodded "Yeah me and her go back..she used to hang with us, until she fell in love with some two bit chip pusher and got addicted to beetles." The human seems to day dream for some few short seconds, he doesn't look like he liked talking about what might have happened to her "Then that drek pusher got done for..turns out he was cutting on the top, and that made the Mob less than happy..'least now he's got nice cement shoes, 'least hat's what I heard.." He took a drink from his now almost empty glass "After that..she just left, went to the Rat's Nest, somehow managed not to get killed the first 5 minutes she walked in that hellhole...she does some odd jobs here and there to get cash to get chips...'least she's ain't whoring herself like most of the other junkies..gotta give her that.."
Another dancer finsihed her routine, Cliff tunred around to chekc her out a bit "So how 'bout you, what brings you guys in here? Just get some local help to beat up some cops and that's it?...and what's the deal with that tail that other guy had? Not to mention those fancy clothes he had on..man I should have called dibs on his stuff he ain't gonna do long over there!"

Jorinda listens to Cliff's hard luck story and nods. Unfortunately, she knew other people who had fallen to their addictions, whether it was Beetles, Cram, Jazz or whatever. The fact the pusher had gotten his made little difference, the damage was done.
"As for us, it was his idea. Said he'd heard the beer was cold and the ladies were hot." She shrugs. "I don't know what to tell you about the tail. He's had it as long as I've known him."
She looks over at John, then leans over and whispers to him. "I didn't get an answer from Gunther. Probably oughtta pay him a visit, but probably should go alone." The Star was still probably keeping an eye on him there, and the girlfriend act didn't work well with the presence of another male as an escort.
