Jorinda looks at Blicks and moves closer to the door, as if she were preparing to leave. If Blicks didn't like their answers, tough drek. He didn't really need to know the answer.
Jorinda looks down at the floor, at the pile of semi-conductor chips. They looked like dark green bugs. Suddenly, she saw a dark spot moving among the pile. A bug of some sort. Her face wrinkles in disgust, but for the moment, she does nothing. When Blicks takes out the paper, she frowns, and takes the paper from Xenomarch to study the story. Hopefully, they weren't mentioned in it. Once she has read it, she hands it back to Xenomarch.
Then Blicks goes on the attack. She definitely doesn't like Blicks' tone. "Are you saying that we are? Look, chummer, you're a runner, same as us. But right now, we're hiring you to do a job, not ask us a bunch of questions. We might be going after the gangers, and we might want air support, but right now, all we need is recon."

The human snarled at Jorinda "Yeah I'm a runner, and anyone with common sense will ask whoever hiring him what's he expected to find going in. you don't want to tell me, fine be that way..I'll consider the 15 000 Nuyen as pay for recon only then."
He chugs his soycaf and got up "I'm going to prepare my drone, "I'll be back in a few minutes, don't touch anything everything's organized." He went down the stairs and disappear behind the door/wall.

Jorinda is quick to jump when Blicks goes on the defensive. "Preparedness has nothing to do with why we're hiring you. You could have just asked us about expected obstacles or opportunities for your continued employment."
Jorinda will allow Xenomarch to try to smooth things over, but simply folds her arms. She wasn't ready to give up anything at the moment.
Jorinda watches him chug his soycaf and head for another room. Jorinda doesn't follow, but she does survey the piles of junk. They were organized? Organized chaos, maybe. And how exactly could you avoid touching something? There weren't very many clear spaces on the floor.
She turns to Xeno and John. "Well, this is working out real well."

When Blicks exits: "Jorinda, it's your show, but a word of advise. Lets get Blicks up to speed fast so we can hit these gangers. I understand about not giving out more than we need, but Xeno's method is starting to look good. Spill everything then geek what fights back. 'Course if you want to go in blind..."
When Blicks comes back: "Blicks, You want to know what's going on? Revenge plain and simple. There's a good chance that I'll have to geek some annoyances and I'd rather not practice on my teammates, you get my drift? I want recon at this time. If in the execution of our," indicate John, Jorinda, and myself, "daring night-time attack you decide to assist us in the actual fighting I will compensate you relative to the assistance provided."

I understand about not giving out more than we need, but Xeno's method is starting to look good. Spill everything then geek what fights back. 'Course if you want to go in blind...Jorinda nods in reply. "I don't want to go in there, period. But since they're paying us, I certainly don't want to go in blind." She looks over at Hardcastle. He hadn't been with them when the gangers had hit the store. He was really in it just for the pay. Jorinda nods to Xeno when he indicates her and John. She sure didn't want to get geeked by anyone, much less because of a reckless teammate. She wants to ask if Blicks will do it, but decides for the more subtle method of waiting for his reply...

Blicks comes back a few minute later and listens to Xeno "Thank you, it wasn't that hard to do now was it?" Blicks lies on the bed and plugs in his control rig "All right I'm ready, you can see what the drone sees from the screen over there."
You see the drone fly off from the roof of the motel and fly off. for the next 45 minutes, you can only see decaying buildings, cratered streets and a few gunfights here and there.
The drone finally arrived at the crash site. you can see the burned out chassis of a low-orbit spaceplane surrounded by destroyed buildings, tenement blocks it seems. Overall, about half a mile around the plane is clear of anything taller than 3 feet high. You can see people around the plane, talking, patrolling, everything seems calm. There is very few people walking in the streets around the still standing low-class apartments. The drone goes around near the Skyhomish Prison, which seems to still be in good shape despite the years. A main building, a small field around the building, and there's about 4 guard tower around it with 2 rows of high fence with bared wire atop of them. There's then a large perimeter, about 500 yards around the fences, before having a high granite wall with 8 guard towers around the external perimeter surrounding it, giving the prison a castle-like look.
There seems to be more people there, all the races are represented. Some are playing basket ball, some are working up the irons, a normal day in the big house, minus the locked front gate.
Blick's electronic voice came on the screen's speakers "Ok, I got 20 minutes left of fuel before I have to bring the drone away, anything you want to see in more details?"

After the screen comes to life John walks over to it and looks at it so he can asorb as much of it as he can, while at the same time trying not to punch out this rigger. "i hate riggers, they have such a chip on their shoulders."

"If you can, focus in on the guard towers. And the patrols around the plane. What kind of firepower they got?" It was starting to look like a bad idea, going into the Barrens to take out a gang. Maybe luring them out might be better...

"You got it." The screens seems to dive toward an inner perimeter guard tower, before the focus kicks-in, giving a few seconds of blur. It quickly got cleared. but you couldn't see inside from the drone's elevated point of view. The screens then goes bright red, but after a few moments, it turned mostly blue, excepting 2 silhouettes who seems the just look around, keeping guard. You cannot see their weapons, but from the cold blue shadow it form in front of their hot bodies, they seems like AKs (The banana clip's a dead give-away). One heat signature seems larger than the other..either an ork or a beefed-up human.
Most of the inner perimeter towers seems to have the same kind of personnel, 2 guards, with either an AK or some other type of long arms. they might have pistols, or other weapons, but hard to see in thermal vision.
The outer perimeter's a little different: some of them are empty, only the corner towers and the 2 on each side of the main gate are occupied. going back to normal vision, the drones picks up what seems top be some long gun barrel with a bipod near it's muzzle on the corner towers. "They got a nice ting going on there.." Blicks' voice popping out without warning doesn't help the nerves....
The crash site's a little less well defended. Most of the people there are young looking, late teens, and they're armed with SMGs, pistols and sawed-off shotguns. Some look like they're talking about something serious, while other seems to be sleeping, or just waking around the burned carcass. They all seems to be wearing the same colour pattern; orange with white, with some with their white clothing turning to dust gray or dirt brown. The screen switch to thermal, but you can't see anyone inside what's inside the few remains space plane section "Damn, I can't see through this, must be the titanium on the fuselage that's blocking it...I can risk a low flight to see at eye level, but that's a sure risk or losing a drone."

Jorinda watches the screen, trying to get a line on what exactly they were up against. They had a lot of firepower there.
Blicks' commentary startles Jorinda from her intent concentration, and she focuses on the crash site. Orange and white, the Crashers' colors, and this bunch looked like they could be the gangers they were looking for. And they were pretty lax on their security. But they didn't have to be if the other 'residents' were protecting them.
At Blicks request, Jorinda shakes her head. "Wouldn't want you to risk your important hardware, and we don't want them to find out they're being watched."
She then looks at Hardcastle and Xeno. "So, these guys don't seem to be too worried about an attack. Think maybe the others are helping watch their back?"

Blicks' electronically-altered voice came back into the speakers "I still got 15 minutes of juice left before I got to head back, you guys want to see something else, or do I head back?"

"All right then, will do." The drone shift to the right, showing you what seems from the air, like almost-Normal Town UCAS; apartment buildings, small offices 3-stories high, you get to see even a long place, brown brick wall, flat black roof with a bowling pin neon sing attached to the front of it. There seems to be 2-3 people talking in the alley at the back of it, a quick zoom shows that 2 are smoking, while the other seems to talk loudly, waving his hands alot. They're all packing SMGs. The rest of the neighborhood was pretty 'standard'. Cratered streets, run-down buildings, squatters, homeless an other gutter trash were trying to survive in the filth. More to the right, the Rat's Nest was stretching long and wide. After a minutes or two of looking around the drone flew off to the left, passed the crash site and behind the prison.
Behind the penal institution was more buildings, looking more like duplexes and triplexes, one of the residential area, before it got transformed in a squatter's heaven whit all the chaos that came to be. A small drift of about 2-3 miles came a river, the Skyhomish River. Passed it were filed, stretching out for the next 10-15 miles or so, but with vegetation, more than any other place you saw in the Barrens. A few abandoned farms was here and there, until the soil became greener, the road got better and seemed maintained, even the sky looked clearer. The drone had entered Snohomish, back into civilization again.
